Great setup, I just have a few pointers, just remember, you need enough substrate for your tortoise to completely bury itself and make sure that you remember for every inch of tortoise you need 1 square foot of enclosure, overall a great setup dude! By the way I'm a breeder if you were wondering.
You know what, I actually have a question, do you live in an area where in gets particularly cold at night during the winter? If so, do you take your tortoise in at night, or do they hibernate for the winter? I’m about to get a box turtle and I’m trying to figure out what to do about the cold winter nights coming up. I think she might be too young to hibernate her.
Yes that’s only for the summer months. I live in NY my sons tortoise is in his enclosure in our basement. He definitely started to hibernate he only comes out like every 5 days or so.
He stays in there for like 2 hrs every once in a while. Thanks I am well versed habitats for Russian tortoises. Once again a viewer jumping to conclusions over a RUclips video. Thanks for the feedback.
If you paid attention to the video, it's a temporary set up just while he and his kids are outside hanging out. Next time actually watch the video instead of just jumping on to be critical.

Do you have a website? Do you ship? Where are you located?
Brilliant! I needed a temporary set up for my shell kiddos...this is an easy set up, thanks! 😬👍
Pretty cool idea. Cheap and effective.
Yup that’s what we were going for.
I may do this for my tort this summer. Just to block off part of the yard.
What did you use to cut the corner of the crate?
Razor blade.
Looks great! Just be careful of your doggie, they’re known to attack turtles and tortoises!
Thanks not my pooch! He’s great with him.
Awesome! :)

I was going to do something similar but then read that pressure treated wood can leach and it wasn't recommended for tortoises... is that true?
It's fine as long as it is not sharp or able to cut the tortoise, something like cypress mulch or repti bark is fine
You mean well, however, this is the opposite of the setup they actually need and have in the wild. Sad to see this.
