Bobaflex is one of the most under rated band's in America today. These guy's have been writing great songs, and kicking ass live for years now. Really, Really, good band... Everyone who watches this should give it a share...
That's a big compliment. You still around? Its only been 9 years. I just discovered them from the Hey You cover. Totally different guys except the drummer...i think
I love this song grew up listening to Simon and Garfunkel. Love the way you guys harmonize in the beginning then bring the rock out in the end great job guys 💯❤️
They appear to all enjoy being in the group and they are amazing ify you ask me.. I ask him for some ESR buds so I can listen to them at night when I am in my hospital bed in the living room. I am so excited to be able to hear more and maybe he can set a fee more songs on you tube on our TV so I can watch you play. I've the setting for this pink Floyd video itreslly amifies the video and performance. You are all so prefect! I love you all and want to share your band and vixeoreith my kids asap.
Coming from a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan...well done. You guys took a song and stayed true to the idea of vocal harmonies, but turned those vocal harmonies inside out while still maintaining the haunting quality of the song. I got turned onto you guys from your cover of "Hey You" and I'm hooked...because you seem to have a reverence for music from the past, but also have the guts to put your mark on them. Well done.
Awesome👏👏That high harmony line gives me beautiful chills up my spine✨🙆♀️✨tryna learn it for a buddy…totally exceeded all my expectations. What an awesome band🎶🐧🥰🎆🎇🎆Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night and touched the sound of silence And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared disturb the sound of silence "Fools", said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words, like silent raindrops fell And echoed in the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming and the sign said The words of the prophets are written On the subway walls and tenement halls And whispered in the sounds of silence
Oh yeah, we play shows with these guys every so often and they throw a hell of a show, I think think they are one of the best bands today but they surly are not getting the full recognition they deserve. And on top of that these guys are so cool and down to earth you can't help but like them. We will always open for these guys as long as they will let us. Great fuckin band.
BOBAFLEX...I've watched them grow into one of the best rock bands to date. They're lyrics are real and they put on one helluva show. I've seen them at least 20 times just here in Chillicothe, Oh, Huntington, Wv and Pomery, Oh. They are by far my favorite band ever and now that they're in the national spotlight I think they should be getting some kind of big tour, I think they should be added into Mayhem or Uproar or one of those or they're own headlining tour would be sweet as hell. Horns up.
we took our kids to hear them in Dayton and it was an amazing show. These guys are so underrated. My teens have all their merch and love them and fan friendly? They are the best! We adore them!
Yes it does. I work a lot. Just stumbled onto it. Never heard of them before. Starts out so softly like original. Then goes hard. Local station has a classic hour. Took months before I found out who it was. Thank Gog for google. Was driving me nuts. Work in noisy shop... could never hear who was doing it.
I have been hitting repeat constantly. Remember meeting these guys in Geneva Ohio. Fell in love with the whole feel of the band and the amazing sound they make. Shout out to my family in wv and ky! Keep jamming guys look forward to hanging out again soon!
Now THAT's how you cover a song! I love the song, cover it myself and can tell when it's being captured and delivered....especially vocals. Nice work, fellas.
I honestly never heard of this band before, was just doing a random music search when I came across this. I have to say that this is the absolute BEST version of this song I’ve ever heard, and this has been one of my favorite songs for nearly all of the 50 years I’ve been alive.
I usually don't like remakes. Especially remakes of an epic song like Sounds of Silence but Boba Flex nailed it! I love this version just as much as the original.
I saw this for the first time live at Valhalla in Muncie a few months ago, and it blew me away. Never been much of a fan of bobaflex, but they did a killer job on this cover.
Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come with talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping, left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain, still remains Within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone, narrow streets of cobblestone Neath the halo of a streetlamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, Split the night And touched the sound of silence And in the naked light I saw, ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never shared, And no one dared To stir the sound of silence Fool, said I, you do not know, Silence, like a cancer, Grows hear my words and I might teach you, take my arms then I might reach you But my words, Like silent raindrops fell, And echoed in the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they'd made And the sign flashed its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said the words of the prophets Are written on the subway walls And tenement halls, And whispered in the sounds of silence
I've been a huge fan of Bobaflex since I stumbled across their cover of HEY YOU from Pink Floyd some years ago. Always a pleasure listening to these masters.
Gotta say I'm pretty impressed, this is the first I've heard of this Bobaflex band and if every other song from them is this well put together, I'm in for a good time
First heard it in 2020. Ill have this anyday over that absurd Disturbed cover. This takes me back and then pushes me forward, and then.. the middle was all i needed.
LOL I totally agree with you about the disturbed cover. It’s absolute overrated trash to me. Always wanted to hear a heavier version of this song. This fits the bill. I don’t know too much about this band, but they should ditch the hair and make up and just focus on the music which based on this cover seems to be pretty damn good. When I first startedPlaying the video I wanted to absolutely puke by the Way they looked. It’s like they looked up how to be a glam rock band from the 80s and tried to duplicate it. But after listening to the song I’ll be checking out some of their other stuff
@@justinkemps9620 dude I guess I was drunk when I commented on this. I don't even remember watching this.. lol Thanks to your reply, now I've found it once again! :-p Stay metal. Cheers!
I have to tell you I'm usually pretty much a traditionalist on a lot of music. I stick with tried and true unless I think it can be done better, and this one for me, was classic Simon & Garfunkel. Period. But I've gotta give props where they're due. This version is magnificent. I love how they kept enough of the original to keep you comfortable, but then rocked it out. Nice twist and I'm impressed. Kudos.
Man. I first heard this around 2012 coming into Laramie off work from Cheyenne, down the mountain. The radio station was out of Colorado. Ft.Collins I think. I stopped at the chuck wagon for 3 hungry man country steak dinners. The memory of these events is rooted to Bobaflex Sound of Silence. 😶
Bobaflex is one of the most under rated band's in America today. These guy's have been writing great songs, and kicking ass live for years now. Really, Really, good band... Everyone who watches this should give it a share...
I'm a new fan :)
Saw them a million times at the v club. Never disappointed
I’ve shared them. I wish they had gone farther. Great band.
Wow.......Heavy Metal People with so clear and fragile voices! Great! I love this difference.....THX
Поют вроде вполголоса,а достают до глубины души
This is one of the best covers I have ever heard. It reaches into me and rips like a thousand feelings at once.
That's a big compliment. You still around? Its only been 9 years. I just discovered them from the Hey You cover.
Totally different guys except the drummer...i think
I like it too but my favorite is from Disturbed!
@metaldreams the one singer Marty, Jymmy (guitar) and Tommy (drummer) are all original.
Agree
@@whodeydan1976 Tommy is a good friend of mine
One of the best covers songs EVER
Apart from The Dickies?
the best cover
I love this song grew up listening to Simon and Garfunkel. Love the way you guys harmonize in the beginning then bring the rock out in the end great job guys 💯❤️
I have met every member of Bobaflex and hung out with them at an acoustic show and after shows etc. Great bunch of guys.
+Bill Frisbee YES!!!!! THEY RULE!!!! Love them.....

I'm probably gonna catch some heat for this, but I don't care....way better than the disturbed version.
Not even close, isn’t bad, but nowhere near as good as Disturbed…
Disturbed version sucks
I like all three versions. Each is good in it's own way. Disturb's is more "BIG". This is more intraceptive. S&G is just the original.
The harmonies of Simon and Garfunkel, and the aggression of Disturbed. Perfect cover.
Except they did this song a full year and a half before Disturbed.
@@WarhawkX86 Yeah, I know. Still a perfect cover, and doesn't dispute anything I said.
The cover Disturbed should've done honestly
agreed
Disturbed butchered this song
Coming from a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan...well done. You guys took a song and stayed true to the idea of vocal harmonies, but turned those vocal harmonies inside out while still maintaining the haunting quality of the song. I've been listening to Bobaflex for a very long time, and they continually get better and better with every new song. I love these guys!
this is not a new song ya know? its a 60's folk song
Lucas Willeford DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Best version of this I've ever heard, and I'm an old school Simon and Garfunkel fan. Great job by some WV boys! Let's Go Mountaineers!
I love you guys. Your music has helped me in several dark times in my life. Thank you, you saved my life.
Haha im 66 years old bobaflex bring them old songs with meaning back.love your band.😊
One of the best covers I've heard. S&G would be so proud that someone did their song justice, while putting their personal touch on it.
Tommy on drums awesome thanks Tommy
This IS a great cover of a classic. Well done Bobaflex!
Disturbed doesn't even come close to this cover i feel thwy got the attention this band deserves.. Killed it !!
Awesome👏👏That high harmony line gives me beautiful chills up my spine✨🙆♀️✨tryna learn it for a buddy…totally exceeded all my expectations. What an awesome band🎶🐧🥰🎆🎇🎆Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night and touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared disturb the sound of silence
"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming and the sign said
The words of the prophets are written
On the subway walls and tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence
I was fortunate enough to see Simon and Garfunkel in Central Park 1982 and you all did a fantastic job! ❤
The original version is one of my favorite songs. I can say that this version definitely does it justice. Well done.
Saw these guys last night for the first time. Blown away. Amazing. A musician myself, but definitely felt like I was standing among rockstars.
Awesome guys. From Brazil!!!
Oh yeah, we play shows with these guys every so often and they throw a hell of a show, I think think they are one of the best bands today but they surly are not getting the full recognition they deserve. Best rock version of a classic. My favourite!
an amazingly good cover
This might be the best cover that I've ever heard.
I work for a radio station and one of our Dj's told me about this version and I'm huge fan of Disturbed's version BUT this is Awesome
Absolutely
sucked when disturbed released there version some 2 yrs after 😔

Seen them in johnstown PA back in 2007 and was blown away. Then again saturday in ebensburg PA. Wish these guys nothing but the best
BY FAR BEST COVER OF THIS SONG NOT EVEN CLOSE..
To say this band is underrated would be an understatement. \,,/
Siete grandi ragazzi, complimenti. Ovviamente conoscevo d'ora in poi vi seguirò più assiduamente
most underrated band. they deserve to be big as the A7X,MCR, Ghost n other bands of this generation.
They deserve to be FFDP big, I remember them both getting popular at the same time, yet Bobaflex has waaaay better music
💯 these dudes rock and have for years!

The best Rock cover of this song EVER! Freaking brilliant.
One of the better covers I've heard. Not sad enough for my tastes, but the song means different things for everyone
I am addicted to this tune. It's stuck in my head. Love it!

Tho I’m a huge fan of disturbed, these guys KILLED this song! Song gives me chills!
You should see them play it live. They have a softer version that has an amazing chills effect.
These dude’s are way better than Disturbed at this cover. Plus super cool guys. Met them all.
I can listen to this tune over and over and over again...thx guys. Well done.
Always goosebumps listening to this Amazing Tune🔥⚡️
The best cover I have found so far. Original still slaps that hardest though.
Best cover of this classic song by far!!!
