Been listening to them since the late-90s, or very early 2000s. I originally from the area they are. I’m from Ashland, Ky part of the Kentucky-Ohio-West Virginia tri-state, which Pt Pleasant, WV (their hometown) is part of. They played at clubs & bars in Huntington, WV a lot…places I frequented, as I graduated High School in 2000. A large portion of my boys & friends (I’m talking like 30-40 people) all played in bands in that tri-state area. Three of my boys actually recorded a couple of their albums, with one of the brothers (the shorter one, with the two blonde strands of hair in the front). He & the Bass player are pretty chill & cool guys. The other brother, the one you might call the lead vocalist (with dark spiked hair) is kinda…well, he considered himself a higher celebrity back home than he was, at times. The skinny guitarist that always wore guy-liner & tje bandana as a band was kicked out of the band a couple years or so, after this. He also let the “stardom” go to his head a tad. Anyway…but, all-in-all pretty chill & cool guys. I didn’t know them all that well. Just hanging out at the clubs, around them & my boys’ band playing onstage. I’d help with tech & roadie work. I always thought they should’ve been pushed more, & promoted more. They went on tour I BELIEVE just a little BEFORE this song was released, with Sevendust & Megadeth. We all thought that was it. That that was what would began their rocket to bigger stuff. Sadly, it just never came. But, I STILL introduce people to Bobaflex all the time. I always play ‘Better Than Me’ & then this very first. Glad to see people are still rocking with em, though, man. Good stuff!
I can't believe this came out 14 years ago. Bobaflex really is one of the most underrated bands of all time. They've evolved over the years and a single album is a journey. I was ~18 or so and found Bobaflex by accident. I went to see Megadeth play at one of the early Gigantours circa 2005-6 somewhere in NH, I forget which town. We arrived early, and the first act (Bobaflex) was playing before people entered the venue. I remember what seemed like half the band constantly running around the stage playing songs that genre jumped in the best way and had a stage presence that honestly eclipsed many of the following big time bands. Years later every time i follow up on them I find something new. I hope they never stop.
Takes me back to my early 20s. Living in Columbus Ohio this song was huge on 99.7 The Blitz. Seen them several times. They’ve changed their name since then. The memories
Why the Fuck aren't these guys BIGGER than they are??????.....Spread the WORD PEEPS.....Quit sitting around and complaining, and request this song or them on your local radio station......SHIT!!!!!
They are by far the most down to earth people who also have amazing talent that I know. They know my brother Bubba is their biggest fan and they take pictures with him and treat him so well. Thanks to this band for being so good to their fans. :)
They're from my hometown (chemical valley). I've got to see them 3 times. Last year I got to see them on my 65th birthday. I was right by the stage and got some great pictures! I love them!
