I was reading an article on best songs of 2020 and came across this. I am almost 65 and have been rocking for a while and I love this song. This guy has mad talent and I hope he goes far.
I wish he would get more recognition. Seems like he made a push 7/8 years ago and kind of fell back into the abys. Saw him at a rock festival in Dallas last year and they killed it. The looks on everyone's face was like who the f*ck is this bad a$$ dude and why have we never heard of him. Today's music scene unfortunately requires you to have to search hard to find gems like this. Since you like this, you might want to also check out Rival Sons, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, Greta Van Fleet, and probably a few others that I am forgetting on the relatively newer rock scene.
I am 43, i listen lot of different musical styles, i can feel Tom morello, Prince, Michael Jackson, lenny kravitz, everlast and so many more. Respect man! We need more pure Rock n Roll these days!
Just found this artist. What a riff! My God. So simple but so heavy. Bravo. Can’t wait to have some time to sit down and learn this song. Looking forward to listing to more of your work.
This guy is what rock n roll is all about. So far, everything I've looked up has been consistently spot on. This is no one hit wonder. This man plays from the soul. Best trio down the RUclips rabbit hole yet. I like it forward to hearing more. Can't believe there's not more publicity.
Sadly its always about demographics because he is a Black Rock/Blues artist and doesn't follow the Norm of Hip-Hop/Rap/R&B he isn't gonna get the traction that others do. So we have to give it to them. These guys are on fire too. He's got like a lighter Aaron Lewis feel to him on how real he sounds with his music. And that Bassist that guy has to been a Tool fan in his younger years. I really want them to take off. Cause this and Blood in the Water and top notch songs.
Possibly the most unique blend of late 70s hendrix style rock and early to mid 90s grunge . Now combined into a brand new style of it's own. Totally awesome.
Yeah, I definitely feel the same way--it's hard to place just one influence (which is a good thing), as opposed to Greta Van Fleet which is an obvious nod to Led Zeppelin, nothing against GVF. But anyhow, I definitely hear late 60s/early 70s rock such as Hendrix, Clapton, Neil Young (especially if you hear Ayron's acoustic tunes), Led Zeppelin, and so on. Which is what you meant, I think, when you said "late-70s Hendrix style," for Hendrix was dead by then. And then, also like you said, I definitely hear the AIC (my favorite band ever)/Soundgarden/Nirvana overall grunge influence. However, perhaps his greatest influence, or at least with regards to Ayron's guitar playing in this song in particular, is Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave--the semblance during the guitar solo is undeniable.
@@ibrown3KC See, I love how you listened to several musicians from across the rock spectrum and still admitted Alice in chains was your favorite. I'm surrounded by people who have no clue who Layne Staley is. Please share your favorite song by AIC; mine is A Little Bitter.
Comparing anyone to Jimi Hendrix is kind of sacrilege... Jimi is in a class by himself, as an extraordinary innovater. But, Ayron Jones is talented and this song kicks major *as!
@@tjplaya1156 I don't think anyone is "comparing" the two. I meant that he had clearly been influenced by Hendrix and its obvious by listening to him. In no way am I saying he IS Hendrix.
