Yeah. Better trust the news. You can always trust them. Or ask the government or a manufacturer of sunscreen.

You need to listen to it again - she's referring to the chemicals used in chemical-based sunscreen only. The misinformation pertains to stating sunscreens as a whole even mineral based are all a scam and do not protect you against skin cancer and that they cause skin cancer. It seems like we're not debating established truths like if the earth is round again. Disturbing.
This is the ongoing problem...

All UV exposure counts. The damage to your skin (premature aging and risk of cancer) is cumulative, so a few minutes here and there (driving, gardening, grilling, etc.) add up over time. That's why the recommendation is to wear sunscreen every day.

If 9,500 people get diagnosed with skin cancer each day, that is ~3.47 million people each year, which is around 90% of the size of each new cohort of American citizens. So if I'm not mistaken, according to these numbers, assuming we continue with the same trend pretty stably, almost everybody in the US is going to be eventually diagnosed with skin cancer? (even if there can recurring diagnoses for the same individual, and even if the average number per person who's diagnosed is 10 diagnoses throughout life, it's about 9% of the people in the US being diagnosed, which still doesn't sound right at all.)

it all depends whether your skin could get dark (tan) if u expose it under the sun, many asians's skin could not become tan, these people has the same risk as caucasians. However many asian are so afraid of the sun due to the sunscreen advertisement, they are living like Dracula. Human need about 20minutes of sunshine (UV 4 to 6) about twice a week, without it could cause tons of health and mental issues.

Applying sunscreen every two hours is cumbersome and not something everyone has time or money to do. Personally, my skin freaks out. But think of those who work outdoors, etc. Ain't nobody got time to be doing all that. My two cents: If all the sun you get is from walking from your home or work back to your car, you're fine without it. Human beings need a bit of sun exposure, but if you're hanging out in the sun for a while because of leisure or because it's your job, wearing a hat, glasses, or long-sleeved loose things will also provide protective coverage. It shouldn't be one extreme or the other (sunscreen every two hours or not at all). If articles and news stories focused on all options available regarding coverage, we could all make better-informed decisions based on our indivudal circumstances.
Well thought out and said.
You don’t have to apply it every 2 hours, just once is fine
Zinc oxide should be the safer choice out of them all. Titanium may cause heavy metal toxicity.
In my opinion. If a person that has their own social media channel is announcing an opinion, they must link to valid sources. There are definitely sun screen brands which have bad ingredients, and sunscreen brands which use natural or non-harmful ingredients and processes. In the same way that Cheerios has glyphosates which increases rates of sterility.
It's also recommended to put a long lasting face sunscreen EVERY single day since it's pretty much the only part of the body that's going to get it by the sun all year long, and damage can accumulate over the years. It's also the place where you want the least damage since it's more visible.
So is mineral sunscreen better? They brought it up, but didn't answer.

Eating a needle can be fun sometimes
Sounds like the sunscreen industry needs to make a profit. Yes please place our chemicals on your skin to protect you from the sun 🤣🤡
So the skin doctor pretty much said that the chemical sunscreens can be dangerous to humans…the exact same thing the influencers said that you also said was incorrect
What’s worse…using chemical sunscreen, or getting a piece of flesh cut out of your and going through chemo because you didn’t wear sunscreen and got skin cancer?
The majority of my sun damage is from driving without sunblock. My face is saggy and riddles with huge brown spots on the driver's side. (Left) I laid in the sun all the time- woth baby oil! Then i got melanoma skin cancer.
They want us to use this and that but then they price them at 20$ a bottle bc it’s the good stuff for you smh 🤦🏻♀️
This is big corporations saying “our sunscreen revenue is down. Hire experts to say sunscreen is good”
"Experts".... paid by those same manufacturers.... yeah, no thanks.
If I need a sunscreen, I'll stick to non-toxic zinc oxide based ones that use clean ingredients only.
Do you recommend a specific type?
TRUTH! DONT LISTEN TO THESE "EXPERTS"! Also I work at a cancer treatment facility, if ever you need us in the future come back to this comment! I appreciate your business!
Ok but you can at the very least try to cover up right? Like that shouldn't be hard and is more effective than any sunscreen
@@HeyItsAvi90skin cancer rates increased after dermatologists started campaigning for heavy sunscreen use. Most sunscreen contains toxic ingredients.
@@kylecurryyt Absolute nonsense.
That ol' experts and disinformation trick!
Well at the very least... a sunburn hurts. I dont like to hurt. I will use sunscreen to keep me from experiencing pain. People are dumb these days its scary
