Bonus point the song they parodied is from The Book of mormon which Andrew Rannells played the main character in and then later he did Falsettos with Brandon
A theatre in Warsaw had a really passive aggressive pre-show announcement that had me cackle out loud. They politely asked to switch the phones off to avoid an embarrassment a patron from few nights ago experienced, when his phone went off. He answered and he accidentally put his ex wife ON SPEAKER, yelling at him for once again not paying alimony on time. Everyone in the theatre could hear. “It was a cautionary tale for everyone... not paying alimony on time”. Also they pointed out that being lit up with white light from below exposed all the double chins which is terribly unflattering.
Christian Borle at that one non proshot boot of Falsettos and that CATCF boot, just staring down to your soul.. making you feel guilty for watching boots...
My school's theatre director does NOT put up with phones, if she sees you on your phone in the audience during a performance she'll disrupt the performance by screaming for you to put it away
When I saw kinky boots, one of the girls in front of me was on her phone for the whole first act. It was so distracting for me as an audience member, and I can hardly imagine how horrible it must be for actors on stage. Thankfully, someone told her at the end of act one and she either left or didn't get it back out, thank gOd
Apparently the Dear Evan Hansen is awful. Ben Platt remembered once a full front row of kids on their phones. It's kind of devastating because the tickets are really difficult to get and ironic because the show is about the dangers of social media. The stage is designed to look like a freaking phone screen.
Rachie And The Waves this girl i know filmed half the show and im like "turn the freaking phone off" and she glared at me I think Will saw her during one scene (we were row i orchestra) because im pretty sure he glared at her.
@@sopheverlasting he tweeted something basically giving off about people filming. I know it's disrespectful and ilegal but then again the nearest theater to me is london (I live in Ireland) so I most likely will never see deh or any production
“Full of culture and art” Me, with something rotten as my number one musical of all time: *desperately trying not to break out into song because i know all of the lyrics to every song from act 1*
Can this be played before every performance of the Radio City Rockettes? They were the worst audience I’ve been a part of, because there multiple people taking pictures (including one behind me) and videos. It was so appalling to witness that kind of disrespect first hand. If only they'd understand that you can survive for two hours without your phone or camera, it's okay - you can use it afterward. Jeez, if only they had some class.
Alsion Loughlin--Perhaps Ray Bolger's voice could be re-mixed to sing, "If They Only Had Some Class" to the tune of "If I Only Had a Brain". (Ray Bolger played "The Scarecrow" in "The Wizard of Oz" 1939 movie.
Patti Lupone had a point. First of all, the cameras are a distraction--not only to the performers, but also the seat-mates in the audience. After all, they paid an average of $112 (in 2017) for the ticket. They didn't pay to see people violating IPR laws. Second, the CDs, photographs, etc., are available for sale after the show, not to mention is stores everywhere and even online and on eBay. Third, part of a performer's contract includes a percentage of those visuals and recordings. Ms Lupone may have bone off the deep end of the pier a bit, but "whatever happened to our public good manners" was a question that was rightfully and rightwously posed.
@@Pugkin5405You are missing the point. In addition to the distraction, the players and musicians, as part of their remuneration, get paid a portion of the fees from CDs and souvenirs. So, filming them from your phone is STEALING from them. Not to mention showing crass behavior to your seatmates.
@@onemercilessming1342 Not really. Think about how many people go to see the shows after they see scenes or bootlegs or whatever online. More people go to see it, the show runs for longer, people get paid more. People might even decide they want to buy something for the show they might not have heard of if it wasn't for random scenes floating around online So, overall, it really does the opposite
Essen is city in Germany it's also the German word for Food and eating. So Max von Essen kann Essen essen in Essen. (Max von Essen can eat a meal in Essen)
Petition for this to be played at every single theatre and cinema
I'll sign it!
Zara Elms where’s the form and how do I aign
I mean, it’s already in a musical. Just a different meaning behind “Turn It Off”
Oh my gosh I've never seen Brandon without a facial hair I'm shooketh
He looks like a child
He looks like a child sometimes but like an 80 year old man other times

Wait that happened? Holy shit lol 😂😂😂
Wait can someone explain this too me please

Newer scenario- when alex brightman went o f f on twitter about people filming beetlejuice

Well since I watch bootlegs I guess my life is done.
Pokémasterchaz99 you think that’s bad? i had one uploaded on my channel for awhile before getting copyrighted lmao
I just want to play this before every show. this is like my biggest theater pet peeve. JUST PUT YOUR DAMN PHONES AWAY.
And then Brandon does a show with the og Elder Price, Andrew Rannells

It all comes around
Spot-on Patti Lupone impression LMAO
The Patti part I'm dying 😂
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? STAHHPPPTAKENPEHTAAAAARS
This should be played before EVERY SINGLE SHOW IN BROADWAY, just like they do it in the movie theaters.

Just realized these two BOTH did Falsettos and I'm shook! Love them so much :))

WAS NOT EXPECTING A HAMILTON REFERENCE
We're past 2017, everything now fits a Hamilton reference. Just like Les Mis in the 90s and Rent in the 2000s.
Always expect a hamilton reference
the falsettos is strong with this one
i started my homework 2 hours ago... how did i get here?
Brandon looks so disgusted with the human race in this song AND I LOVE IT

Max von Essen is a star! And Bradon Uranowitz is also wonderful in this - a glorious performance!

I wouldn't call that devastating
Did that actually happen with Madonna at Hamilton?
+amberfirexx9 It's a true story.
I love the fact that they were both in Falsettos.
brandon uranowitz in the book of mormon might just be the thing to save humanity
This is absolutely brilliant... How have I not seen this before? Thanks, YT, you got one!

Not really a distraction
when people record the shows, you see the show either way. Even if you watch through a tiny screen.

Awesome but I don't see how it's a Book of Morman spoof. Did I miss something obvious? I must have watched this ten times already!
+GrandiaKnight one of the songs in the musical The Book of Mormon is called "turn it off"
Aidan Sandhoefner I'd forgotten about that one. Thanks.
