In my Macbook Pro microphone is not working, when lid is closed. I found that by accident. It "seems" to be working, permissions for application all set up. But no noise coming from mic. I think , because closed lid blocks the tiny holes where the microphone is.
I have a macbook 2017 with only usb c ports . My microphone is a rode usb microphone , i can put it in with a type c to usb converter i see that my microphone is on but my macbook doesn’t find him . What can i do ?
I have MacBook 2016 with Monterey oS installed. Now the dictation is not working. When I click on start dictation or my shortcut nothing happens. Any suggestions? Mic works with Siri though.
Hey guys this video didn't help me fix my mic but that's not the point. If you are using a mic that has an extension to it to make the cord longer, your mic will not work, you have to use the original cord to use your mic.
i have an issue that my m1 macbook is not detecting my headphone mic, i have tried the input section selection it does not show up there, port works fine, i have tried multiple headphone jacks, the headphones work great on other devices but i need it to work on my macbook and please help if anyone knowS

I recommend working through this list to see if any of these help: - Try a different port on your PC - Try the mic/headset on a different device (If it works, it's a problem with the PC software) - Make sure it is enabled in the sound control panel in Windows - Make sure it is selected and not muted in the software you are using - Check all the wires are connected properly and there is no physical damage
@@TropicalTech It works, yeah. I have to restart my mac every time with it plugged in for it to be detected, but if I unplug it without restarting it's lost to oblivion, lol.
This is so annoying i don’t know what to do you said you have a video to allow apps to be used but it doesn’t show how ti add apps on the apps that are there

okay so İ have this detachable mic, i also have a headset with a headphone jack, so i used an audio splitter on the headset plugged the mic and headset in and the other end to my mac, somehow it doesnt work, but in my phone it works perfectly... pls help thanks 🥲

omg tysm, I had to stop using this headset because the mic was broken, apparently I just had it muted🤦♂
I was literally like ignoring the beginning part and then I realized that there’s a button on my headphones that muted the mic

this video made me realize i’m an idiot, i completely forgot there was a mute button on the back of my headset
