There are people that enjoy and make a good living with their knowledge of fire arms. You sir are the epitome of the combination of loving what you do and knowing EXACTLY how to do it. You are scary good my friend. I sure wish you still built 1911s.
My 43X has always sucked at accuracy, I’m so glad I found this video. Just thought it was a lemon gun. I’ll try the match barrel when they are back in stock. Thanks
I LOVE that you stressed "Match" by meaning parts mating and "interference fit😉", rather than Match as in "Shooting Match" meaning Competition Standards and Results. So many confuse the latter for the former💪🏻 Great info, Mr. Yam👊🏻
Glock traditionally has looser barrels for reliability. I find a subcompact with a shorter barrel for concealed carry with those grouping to be adequate for its intended purpose. 25 yards is beyond its effective range for such a weapon. Nothing wrong putting in a match grade barrel for better accuracy if you want it.
A Gen5 Glock wit stock bbl is a sub 3” at 25yd gun. Loose doesn’t equate 100% to reliable, correct fit does. Someone else might not need/want or be able to use a small pistol at 25 yds and that’s their situation, but I can and a 7”+ gun is useless to me. The gun in the video has had more rounds through that barrel set up than most shooters probably shoot through their 43X in a lifetime, so I am very comfortable with its reliability and accuracy.
Nothing for the grip? No comp? THIS IS TREASON. I have a DPM recoil reducer in one of my 43x and it greatly helps with muzzle flip. The DPM system for the 19 actually made it less controllable.
I’ve got both the two-tone gen 1 and the current gen 2, the gen 2 is much more accurate. I’m assuming the .250 height sights will work with the 43x MOS, with C&H and 507k?
The SSVI shoe looks appealing. I use the Vickers Tango Down shoes on all four of my gen 5's. I like that they don't remove any pre-travel and are very comfortable. Do the SSVI shoes remove any pre-travel? If they don't I may want to try them out. I couldn't find any info on either SSVI's or Glockmeister's websites concerning pre-travel removal.
I always learn something with your videos. Thank you! Please clarify if the front sight height that you recommended (0.25 inches) was for a red dot or standard iron sight?

Great info as always, thanks Hilton.
No BS I love my low pro rear sight 140 notch going to put them on my G34 IDPA gun
"BAM, there ya go"!!!!!! excellent review.
Good video 👍
My PDP has been perfect out of the box and is my EDC.
The shogun holster is a great holster.

Yes, full specs are on the website's G43x/48 page.

No change in pre travel
@108Performance Any experience with the Shield Arms 15 round metal mags?
Yes, referenced in the video
@@108Performance Shit i look like a doofus now. I just got to that section.
will you make a 48 mos video?
Eventually
43X
I saw in the comments you said the Gen 5 is a sub 3” gun at 25. Has this been your experience with Gen 3’s and 4’s also?
Not so much. The Gen5 specifically introduced the new Marksman barrel which noticeably improved accuracy.
How would you compare the performance of the 43x with that of the G26?
26 is softer shooting as the slide is more massive and the gun is just heavier/bigger.
Would a match grade barrel like this potentially affect reliability in a dirtier gun due to the tighter tolerances?
Not if the fit is correct and you lube/clean the gun periodically.
In the year 2021 if it doesn't have a red dot it aint optimized
Yeah thanks. I'll make sure to take a look at optics.
I always learn something with your videos. Thank you!
Please clarify if the front sight height that you recommended (0.25 inches) was for a red dot or standard iron sight?
For either due to use of low optics like Holosun 407k/507k. Details here: www.10-8performance.com/glock-43-43x-48/
