It seems I have some catching up to do with Pixar films, as I’ve realized I’ve missed at least eight of their recent releases. This is largely due to the impact of the pandemic, which disrupted traditional theatrical releases. Many of these movies were released directly to a streaming platform that I don’t subscribe to, making it difficult to stay up-to-date with their latest creations.
My favorite scene in Monsters University was when Mike and Sulley pulled off the big scare in the human world. I like the first movie better, but I found nothing in the first movie nearly as thrilling as the big scare

3:27 Dude, relax! This is absolutely *not* a controversial take. It’s generally agreed that Toy Story 4 is the worst Toy Story movie. As a film, it’s fine, but as a sequel, it’s terrible, as it destroys the bittersweet and perfect ending of the third movie. The plot is frustrating and incompetent. Bonnie broke her promise to Andy and acts like an obnoxious brat. Bonnie’s parents are also horrible. Bo Peep’s character is drastically different from how she was in first two films going from kind, gentle, selfless, and supportive to edgy, jaded, impatient, and insensitive. Woody is portrayed as incredibly selfish, arrogant, stubborn and reckless, which sucks because he’s honestly my favourite character in the franchise. Buzz is portrayed as incredibly stupid with his whole inner voice conflict. The side characters get sidelined and barely have anything to say or do. And worst of all, Woody abandons Bonnie to be with a lost toy with Bo. I can understand why he did it, as Bonnie, despite her promise to Andy, was no longer playing with him and Woody was feeling depressed and purposeless. But it still goes against how loyal Woody was in the first three films. And I still can’t believe we’re getting a a *FIFTH* Toy Story movie! It really seems like Pixar are milking this franchise now. But if it can redeem the franchise, which I doubt it will, I’ll be beyond thrilled. But again, I highly doubt that’ll be the case. Im only able to rank pixar by childhood love. My top 5 not in order would be Monsters Inc, the incredibles, Cars 2006, Toy Story 2, i can't choose which movie in top 5 Up or finding Nemo i think i will say finding nemo is top 5 for me because ive seen the movie more times in my childhood growing up
Commenting half way through--oh my gosh, thank YOU for saying that about Buzz! It really felt like he lost all of his intelligence and personality from the first 3 movies and that really did ruin the whole movie for me too! Same with Incredibles 2. I was so hyped for that movie but the convolution of several things, including the villain, didn't make it as enjoyable as I hoped. I think I also had a problem with how difficult Bob and Helen's relationship felt from the first movie AND with how cartoony/different the other superheroes' designs were compared to the first movie. Great points Brian!!!🎉
My main critique of Toy Story 4 is the fact that it exists when we had a perfect end to the Toy Story arc in TS3. I get Pixar needed to make money but they couldn't have thought of anything else?
We have the same 3 movies in our top 3 but my order is different 1. Finding Nemo I may be biased towards it because it was released the year I was born but it’s my favorite animated movie of all time and it’s just so amazing 2. Up it’s very good and I really love it 3. Ratatouille it’s so good some people don’t talk about it much but it’s amazing

Toy Story 2 I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who ranks Up as his #1 favorite Pixar film. It is the peak of Pixar. It best describes what kind of films Pixar makes. It also is in the top 5 of my favorite animated films of all time.
My top 5 favorite Pixar films are as follows: 1. Coco 2. Finding Nemo 3. Toy Story 2 4. The Incredibles 5. Toy Story 3 Honorable Mentions: Monsters Inc, Turning Red, Ratatouille, and Inside Out.
Up absolutely deservers the spot it gets. As someone who is living the life of Carl and Ellie, I've never seen a better portrayal of infertility and acceptance of childlessness than Up.
I do like Toy Story and Toy Story 2 they were groundbreaking. Also, aesthetically, I think they are good films. The same goes with Ratatouille, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Inside Out. A Bug's Life I think is what it is, but I have nostalgia for it. I mean, I do so for the first two Toy Story films as well and Finding Nemo. Cars, I think it is what it is, too. I've not seen the sequels. Monsters Inc. I think it may be passable, but I've not seen the prequel. Toy Story 3 is a good conclusion, whereas I agree with the sequel I think was ok. I've not seen Inside Out 2, The Incredibles 2 I found ok too. Finally, Brave, I wasn't sure of it. Sorry Finding Dory I forgot I found it forgettable.

I m about to make a hot take but I truly think besides cars 2 Pixar hasn't really made a legit bad film yes some can be disappointing but there are parts that can still be worth watching
Im only able to rank pixar by childhood love. My top 5 not in order would be Monsters Inc, the incredibles, Cars 2006, Toy Story 2, i can't choose which movie in top 5 Up or finding Nemo i think i will say finding nemo is top 5 for me because ive seen the movie more times in my childhood growing up
Can you please do a ranking video of every Disney movie?
Commenting half way through--oh my gosh, thank YOU for saying that about Buzz! It really felt like he lost all of his intelligence and personality from the first 3 movies and that really did ruin the whole movie for me too!
Same with Incredibles 2. I was so hyped for that movie but the convolution of several things, including the villain, didn't make it as enjoyable as I hoped. I think I also had a problem with how difficult Bob and Helen's relationship felt from the first movie AND with how cartoony/different the other superheroes' designs were compared to the first movie. Great points Brian!!!🎉
I already disagree. I liked Lightyear it got unnecessary hate
My main critique of Toy Story 4 is the fact that it exists when we had a perfect end to the Toy Story arc in TS3. I get Pixar needed to make money but they couldn't have thought of anything else?
My top three Pixar films would be:
1. Wall-E
2. UP
3. Brave
We have the same 3 movies in our top 3 but my order is different
1. Finding Nemo I may be biased towards it because it was released the year I was born but it’s my favorite animated movie of all time and it’s just so amazing
2. Up it’s very good and I really love it

Hi, Brian, can you do Annoying Orange impressions, if you know the Annoying Orange?
17:32 why did I just get what Mr Potato Head did? Granted I haven’t seen this movie since I was a kid but I still remember most of it.
Seeing lightyear at the bottom definitely hurts me. I know it has a lot of problems but I did manage to find some enjoyment in it.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who ranks Up as his #1 favorite Pixar film. It is the peak of Pixar. It best describes what kind of films Pixar makes. It also is in the top 5 of my favorite animated films of all time.
Love your breakdown
And you make me think I need to watch turning red, which I still have not seen
Came out in 2022 though 😊
My top 5 favorite Pixar films are as follows:
1. Coco
2. Finding Nemo
3. Toy Story 2
4. The Incredibles
5. Toy Story 3
Honorable Mentions: Monsters Inc, Turning Red, Ratatouille, and Inside Out.
Up absolutely deservers the spot it gets. As someone who is living the life of Carl and Ellie, I've never seen a better portrayal of infertility and acceptance of childlessness than Up.
I'm sorry to hear that 😞
I do like Toy Story and Toy Story 2 they were groundbreaking.
I mostly agree with you; this is a solid ranking! Also, please pleaaaase re-watch Iron Giant, it's phenomenal, might be another Brad Bird slow burn for you
Brian, Finding Nemo came out in 2003.
