Hard disagree on Mario Party 3. I thinks it's the best in the series, has so much strategy because of the huge list of items you can get, while also balancing luck well so bad players can still have a chance which makes the games more fun. Has a damn good library of mini games and the boards aren't award winning but they are fine enough to have a great time.
I’ll always have a soft spot for Mario Party 9 since it was the first game in the series I played, but also just cause, even today, I love its visuals, extra modes, minigames, and music. Honestly, I find Jamboree to quite boring and repetive, mainly due to lack of minigames. You wouldn't think so, considering they literally say they have the MOST minigames in the series. But remember, there is 5 boss minigames, 10 rhythm games, 10 kaboom games, 5 survivalthon, and 9 koopa, so 39 "Extra" games. And then, there is 9(+1) showdown, 4(+1) item, 4(+1) duel, nine 2 vs 2(+3) ten 1 vs 3(+2) and 22 4 player(+7) going to 63 normal minigames, going to 112, right? Welp, not only is 63 normal minigames already pretty low for most mario party minigames, but **15** of them are MOTION BASED, so if you don't have that feature turned on, not only does that bring the count down to only ***48*** minigames, but you also lose out on Rosalina as a possible Jamboree buddy, which is just plain stupid. Lack of minigames is Jamboree's biggest issue, despite being said to have the most so far. The boards are wonderful and most of the minigames ARE fun, but they just aren't spread in a way to make replaying the game fun, and it makes me sad. Personally, I'd say it's at best, in the middle of most mario parties, definitely behind superstars and 8. Anywho, hope you all have a nice day, despite my rant there.
@Rediscool9 True, but both need to be good and plentiful in order to be well balanced and fun. The boards are really good, and there is a lot of them, more than average actually, but with so few minigames, it gets really repetitive and tiring to play at times, and also, the economy is awful, again. (All of the switch games are like this for some reason) It's a fun game still, I just wish the minigames were better arranged and put into the main mode more.
Exactly, I wish people talked about this more because 48 minigames get repeated way too often, and some of them are bad. Superstars and 8 definitely have the better party mode. The amount of boards Superstars has (3-4 good ones) does ruin it a bit tho Jamboree still has more content and items however

Mario Party 9 is so underappreciated. It has the best music, the best Minigames and the best Bossfights in the entire series. The only thing you can hate is the car, even though I lreally liked it.
Super Mario Party is NOT a bad Game! It's much better than Mario Party 9, 10, Star Rush, Top 100 and Island Tour. Don't forget: Super Mario Party was the first Mario Party, that the concept comes back from ND - Cube. The another Mario Party titles has a another concept like in 9 and 10 don't collect Stars from your coins, you collect Mini Stars and this was a bad idea. Like the ideas in Star Rush the idea to defeat a Boss for a star. Super Mario Party is NOT a bad Game. Btw: my favorit is Mario Party 8.
although this lists opinions dont align with my own that much in the back half, i do have to say that #18-12 in my opinion were ordered perfectly. mario party 9 is fun and i would also place island tour around there purely on the amount of dumb fun i had with it. easily the best of the 3ds titles and does not deserve bottom 3 like most lists.
Growing Up Mario Party 10 was personally my favorite. I never saw a problem with the car mechanic but the mode that isn't very good is "Mario Party" it was very lackluster, Amiibo Party doesn't have the car mechanic for all the haters but it was pretty fun What was my personal favorite mode was BOWSER PARTY!! The mini games were fun, bowser chasing after you got adrenaline pumping, heart mechanic was cool! I would love to see something like bowser party come back. But Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10 really wasn't given a chance!
Simply because I agree with how outrageous it is that you need two Switches for a local game mode I'm doing my duty and commenting that I have once and only ever once actually played Toad's Rec Room. (Your Super Mario Party ranking isn't that controversial imo)
if 8 wasnt number one youd have to convince me with a LOT to have me agree, even if theres no online and the system aint supported anymore, i had way too much fun with it :)
You’re the first RUclipsr I ever saw that put 3 that low. MP3 is my favorite but I will say that I partially agree with what you said about the boards. A couple good ones but some are forgettable too. What makes it my favorite is everything else. I think it has by far the best items in any game and mini games are near the top too.
I find myself defending Mario Party 1 sometimes but having that ahead of 3 is crazy. 3 has the best strategy in the whole series and I disagree strongly about the maps. I'm a big fan of Woody Woods and Waluigi's Island has so much fun stuff on it. Only map I'm not really a fan of is the desert map
tbh i don't really get the hype about superstars. yeah it was a proper return to formula, but that game has no unique identity since it steals boards and minigames from previous mario partys'. plus i'd argue that 2 and 3 did their boards/minigames much better than superstars did
I hate to see 9 and 10 so low down, I really like those games and think the car mechanic is really cool, and 9's boards are so unique as well with so many cool event spaces, but I do see why people hate them, as it's much more different than other mario parties. I think I like them a lot because they were my first mario parties and I got to look at them with an open mind, but oh well
Super Mario Party Jamboree is the best Mario Party game for many reasons: 1. The largest roster of characters (22) 2. The largest amount of mini games (112) 3. Many side modes 4. Plenty of boards (5 new and 2 classics) 5. Replayability
I still think Mario Party 8 or 6 beats it, I'm only talking about 8 here because i didn't play much of 6, but Jamboree has 2 major flaws that would make it the best otherwise. The roster, side modes, and boards (though i would say 6 and 8's boards are better), are really great. - First of all, the amount of minigames. It's not a lot, as if you have motion controls disabled you end up getting repeat minigames a LOT. Mario Party 8 reused minigames, and 6 had night mode minigames which felt like every minigame was fresh. The selection as well, Jamboree has a lot of quiz and mildly unbalanced minigames. - Second, the coins. this is probably the thing that holds back the party mode the most by far. All the issues you hear people talk about the game, it comes from the coins. The Lucky Spaces give you 5-20 coins and include an ally, even 30. It doesn't sound so bad until you realize that 15 coins is 5 TURNS OF BLUE SPACES. Meanwhile, Unlucky Spaces take 3-7 coins lol. Even the Event Spaces only take 5 when in previous games, they took 10 at minimum. The bullet bill event in Bowser's Keep is surrounded by lucky spaces and only take 5 coins for landing on them. Now why this is bad, is because it mainly centers the game around movement items and going to boo, In Rainbow Castle theres no way to lose alot of coins so you rack up so much if you get an ally a double steal would be as expensive as buying 1 star in the old games. Jamborees let you buy 2 stars for 40 coins, and another 2 if it spawns next to you. 4 stars just for the low cost of earning it back on a lucky space. Lucky Space are not the only issue, it's the way to dispense coins being lacking and Bonus Coin minigames giving a ton (abt 30 per minigame) as well. Example: On a 50 turn Mario Party 8 game, i never see anyone over 100 coins, meanwhile here getting 200 coins is common. Items are also too cheap, but if they fix those coin issues i could see a more item-based game would be nice - It is a great game, but Mario Party 8 and 6 felt way more balanced. Modern Mario Parties have a big economy issue that i hope they fix in the next game
i havent even played most of the Mario parties and i can tell this list will be controversial, but i agree with the ways you ranked the ones i have played. the oldest Mario party game i've played is 8 6 -Super 5 -10 4- 9 3- superstars 2- 8 1- Jamboree
8 is definitely a great game, I wouldn’t say it is the best because I’m not really a fan of the art style and also its over-reliance on motion controls, but it has some good minigames (for the most part) and the boards for the most part are also pretty good.
That's true what you said about the N64 and Gamecube ones. Most peoples list: Mario Party 10 Mario Party Advanced Mario Party the Top 100 Mario Party 9 Mario Party Island Tour Mario Party Star Rush Super Mario Party Mario Party 8 Mario Party DS Mario Party 7 Mario Party 4 Mario Party 5 Mario Party Superstars Mario Party 6 Mario Party Mario Party 2 Mario Party 3 Super Mario Party Jamboree
Putting SMP nearly at the bottom js really ignorant tbh. All the handheld games are way worse and Super is really innovative. It has so much different modes and content. If you didn’t like Mario Party, you had Partner Party. If you didn’t like Partner Party, you had Rhythm Kitchen. If you didn’t like Rhythm Kitchen, you had River Survival. And if you didn’t like River Survival, you can have fun with the 80 excellent minigames, and with Challenge Road, they’re more fun than ever. Also the character specific dice blocks added a lot of strategy and gave reason to pick characters. Speaking of characters, this character selection is amazing (Better than Jamboree since Diddy Kong is here). There is so much options to pick. Oh ye and Island Tour should be rock bottom ok bye :)
SMP was also a step in the right direction, if anyone disagree then they miss the car from party 9 and 10. Seriously fans need to appreciate SMP for bringing the franchise back,
Just a couple of thoughts I had while watch this video: #17: I can't defend this as a Mario Party, but I still think there's a fun, charming little Mario adventure here underneath the misbegotten application of Mario Party mechanics to a 90% single-player only experience. There's actually a de-Mario Party-ification patch out there for this game called Mario's Carnival Quest that I've heard very good things about. Perhaps you could give it a look sometime? #14/12: You say that Bowser Party made the boards in MP10 even blander than MP9's lineup, which is quite true, but I might have brought up the fact that you can't even play Bowser Party on every board back when you discussed MP10. #10: You really think ALL the boards from this game (minus Chilly Waters) are bland? At the very least, I'd say that Woody Woods and Waluigi's Island are fun, memorable boards. Additionally, I think MP3 deserves quite a bit of credit for its refinements of MP2's item system. #9: I have to disagree with MP1 being this high. The control stick spinning minigames were such a bad design choice that Nintendo had to settle a lawsuit by distributing gloves to people who had bought the game to stop them from tearing open their palms. In addition, can you REALLY call the board lineup of this game good when it inflicted Wario's Battle Canyon on the world? On a related note, I actually don't think that Luigi's Engine Room is that bad; it certainly allows for more player agency than most boards in its game, even if 20 coins to change the doors is a little much. One last thing: why did you use footage of Torpedo Targets in this segment? That minigame only appeared in MP2, not MP1. #7: Well, THIS was a surprising placement! Thinking about it objectively, though, MP2 does have some glaring faults, most notably that having just 1 item slot really does feel limiting nowadays. Also, Mecha-Marathon can go burn in Hell, right alongside Rakin' 'Em In. #1: I know that this is your list and that these things are subjective, but MP8 at #1 simply doesn't fit with your previous statement that boards make or break a Mario Party. Outside of the excellent Koopa's Tycoon Town (and even THAT board starts breaking down under the strain of 35+ turns), the boards are mostly pretty mid, especially King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, which has the coolest high concept ever, but doesn't execute it well at all. Still, I did enjoy my time with MP8 and your opinion on it is valid. That about does it for this one. I hope I didn't come across as too hostile here. I do enjoy your work and look forward to your videos, even if we clearly don't see eye to eye on this particular series we both enjoy. Bye for now!

Everyone says people overate the N64 titles because of nostalgia while at the same time glazing the Wii because of the same reason. We are in the era of Wii nostalgia and you're definitely the biggest culprit of it. Jamboree, I think, is too recent and definitely a little over hyped and 8 is for sure for sure not the best title. It's cool it's getting some love now but that's because the nostalgia bus is right on schedule. Koopas tycoon town is cool but with those mini games, how could you realistically say that?

I CAN TOTALLY AGREE ON MARIO PARTY 8 AT THE TOP!!!!
Super Mario party deserve more respect and you place it at number 15?
I still enjoy playing the original super Mario party sometimes
It’s exactly where it needs to be 🙌
I can’t believe the Super Mario Party Sequel aka Jamboree is way better than the Super Mario Party And I Approve It
Mario Party 9 is so underappreciated.
It's technically the more updated version of Star Rush
@Turbos-b3zwhy do u say that
None of these are bad games they just did something different a lot of people didn’t like
although this lists opinions dont align with my own that much in the back half, i do have to say that #18-12 in my opinion were ordered perfectly. mario party 9 is fun and i would also place island tour around there purely on the amount of dumb fun i had with it. easily the best of the 3ds titles and does not deserve bottom 3 like most lists.
My top 5 is
1. Mario Party 6
2. Mario Party 7
3. Mario Party 2
4. Mario Party Superstars
5. Mario Party DS
HM: Jamboree, MP3, MP8
5:55 I detect misspeak
That’s why I refer to them by number
SMP - Mario Party 11
MPSS - Mario Party 12
Jamboree - Mario Party 13
On the one hand, the criticism of Mario Party 5 is all valid.
On the other hand, SUPER BATTLE MODE!!!
Mario party 8 had me floating
Growing Up Mario Party 10 was personally my favorite. I never saw a problem with the car mechanic but the mode that isn't very good is "Mario Party" it was very lackluster, Amiibo Party doesn't have the car mechanic for all the haters but it was pretty fun What was my personal favorite mode was BOWSER PARTY!! The mini games were fun, bowser chasing after you got adrenaline pumping, heart mechanic was cool! I would love to see something like bowser party come back. But Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10 really wasn't given a chance!
For me, personally, Mario Party 6 is the best one.
When he said all. I some reason was expecting the arcade titles to be in the list too. Then again only one ever appeared in America.
I don't really like Mario Party 8, Jamboree is the best by far tbh
I think I like them a lot because they were my first mario parties and I got to look at them with an open mind, but oh well
Super Mario Party Jamboree is the best Mario Party game for many reasons:
1. The largest roster of characters (22)
2. The largest amount of mini games (112)
3. Many side modes
4. Plenty of boards (5 new and 2 classics)
5. Replayability
I think super Mario party had more characters
@@yaniramedina4184 Super Mario Party has 20 characters
Oh
I still think Mario Party 8 or 6 beats it, I'm only talking about 8 here because i didn't play much of 6, but Jamboree has 2 major flaws that would make it the best otherwise.
The roster, side modes, and boards (though i would say 6 and 8's boards are better), are really great.
-
First of all, the amount of minigames.
-
Second, the coins. this is probably the thing that holds back the party mode the most by far. Items are also too cheap, but if they fix those coin issues i could see a more item-based game would be nice
-
It is a great game, but Mario Party 8 and 6 felt way more balanced. Modern Mario Parties have a big economy issue that i hope they fix in the next game
@@luigigreen_ or they can update it
You really spend 1 minute 30 explaining what an opinion is
Yep. That's how a ranking works. 😂
I personally enjoyed MP10 as I had it on my Wii U. I enjoyed the Car as imo, it supports the family-theme that the Series goes for.
Mario Party 8 is definitely #1
i havent even played most of the Mario parties and i can tell this list will be controversial, but i agree with the ways you ranked the ones i have played. the oldest Mario party game i've played is 8
6 -Super
5 -10
4- 9
3- superstars
2- 8
1- Jamboree
How was your take on Super Mario party controversial?
8 is definitely a great game, I wouldn’t say it is the best because I’m not really a fan of the art style and also its over-reliance on motion controls, but it has some good minigames (for the most part) and the boards for the most part are also pretty good.
Honestly, DS is so nostolgic for me so thats probably my favorite.
That's true what you said about the N64 and Gamecube ones. Most peoples list:
Mario Party 10
Mario Party Advanced Mario Party the Top 100
Mario Party 9
Mario Party Island Tour
Mario Party Star Rush
Super Mario Party
Mario Party 8
Mario Party DS
Mario Party 7
Mario Party 4
Mario Party 5
Mario Party Superstars
Mario Party 6
Mario Party
Mario Party 2
Mario Party 3
Super Mario Party Jamboree
Seriously fans need to appreciate SMP for bringing the franchise back,
have you played star rush - it's where allies, character dice blocks and the grid all originated from(partner party)
@@guyfierimtwi Eh star rush felt more like a gimmick than a proper game
It is HIS list and he gave reasons
Just a couple of thoughts I had while watch this video:
#17: I can't defend this as a Mario Party, but I still think there's a fun, charming little Mario adventure here underneath the misbegotten application of Mario Party mechanics to a 90% single-player only experience.
Super Mario party at 15 that's way worse then IGN's Mario and Luigi review
Hey it said that I was in top 0.1% of your viewers
My list: 2 Super Mario Party and 1 Super Mario Party Jamboree.
fun fact: top 100 in japan is just called "100 minigame collection
6 is always to best to me
It's like Mario Party Superstars is the more famous brother of Mario Party.: The Top 100
You are not the only mario party 8 lover mario party 8 is my favorite I am hoping super mario party jamboree will bet mario party 8 but who knows 🤷
But I still don't have mario party jamboree yet
The intro is so true because I've played MP8 and 9, named the best and the worst by many people, and both of them i can't play more than one board because playing alone is SO BORING. And i actually prefer mp9 because on 9 i can mash A to skip the cpu dialogue
@@CummingsC4 I don’t understand how we can both be victims of Wii nostalgia, and also have most of the comments saying we underrated Mario Party 9, but fair play
“The n64 Mario party games are usually in top 5s due to nostalgia, proceeds to put Mario party 8 at number 1 due to nostalgia since he’s a 20 year old and 8 was most likely the first one he played. You gen Zs always make me laugh with the nostalgia bit you love to spew and then proceed to show nothing but nostalgia for your rankings
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SAYS STAR RUSH IS WORSE THAN ISLAND TOUR
This is my personal ranking (based of how fun they are) :
18. Mario Party: The Top 100
17. Mario Party Advance
16. Mario Party: Star Rush
15. Mario Party: Island Tour
14. Mario Party 10
13. Mario Party 9
12. Super Mario Party
11. Mario Party 1
10. Mario Party 7
9. Mario Party 4
8. Mario Party 5
7. Mario Party 3
6. Super Mario Party: Jamboree
5. Mario Party DS
4. Mario Party: Superstars
3. Mario Party 8
2. Mario Party 2
1. Mario Party 6
Nah I disagree Mario party 5 is amazing if you love causing as much chaos as possible, sometimes a broken system is better than a balanced and fair one that is why video games from the early 2000 are amazing they had character and soul and risk everything now is safe and corporate and boring.
2:20 mistake, it's "Mario Parties" or "Mario Partys" (either would be correct, due to the name of the franchise), but what's not correct is "Mario Party's"
I definitely agree that Mario party 8 is the best. My first Mario party, and koopas tycoon town is the best map in all of Mario party
I think this list is pretty good with the exception of Mario Party 3, which has a great list of items to make up for the mediocre board gameplay. Mario Party 8 has good boards but it feels awfully generic so I think number 1 is a little high
I’d put Superstars above top 100 and below Advance. Such ruined potential…
My Top (Jamboree I didn't play it)
17 Advance
16 Party 1
15 The Top 100
14 Island Tour
13 Super Mario Party
12 Superstars
11 Party 10
10 Star Rush
9 Party 8
8 Party 4
7 Party 2
6 Party 6
5 Party 5
4 Party 7
3 Party 3
2 Party 9
1 Party DS
I don't know why you dislike star rush mechanics. the grid makes the game better
Mario party 3 is better than all the other N64 games. They brought in reasonably and reliable items.
I've had 2 mario party games, 9, and jamboree
Yes
I played toad rec room (although basically only the baseball game)
Super mario party is at least decent stop yapping i play it and is good the personal dice gimmick is fantastic the baseball and tanks games in toad rec room are fun the duo party is the 8th miracle in the world and you dont need 2 million spaces a board or a hundred boards to have fun. Now i am not saying it is perfect but before saying it is just trash think about it as a different turn to the "big 4" and it works not perfectly but at least it is decent
He can yap all he wants though
To my opinion i enjoy most of the mario parties myself i just never played 4 and 5 yet
MP1 over MP3 is…a tragic mistake 😭😂
Mp5 was my first one as a kid and still my fav one I do agree that capsule dint work that well but if it was like in onther mp later on I think this game rocks the mini games where awosme and the boards are classic that can be part of jamboree like western land and that cloud board
Mario Party 8 has the best boards and a solid character line up but maybe the worst minigames
5:00 i played toad's recroom
I played most of the Mario party games except for the N64 ones and Mario Party Advance
Mario party superstars is the best mario party of all time
Please rank every mario kart track 🙏
Mario Party 1 and 2 🔛🔝
1:24 Huh? Well at least Super wasn't last since I like it, but I've seen your other videos. You kept saying it was the worst one yet. 2:25 Again I was expecting Super. 3:18 too.
i fucking love mario party 8
Bro what did super Mario party do to you. Who did it hurt
Also jamboree is such recency bias. Game is good but it’s not amazing. Like a perfectly fine 7/10
Recency bias is like the last thing that exists in the Mario Party community. For the last decade fans have hated every new Mario Party with a passion (me included) since Mario Party 9. 9 10 and super are dogwater I think we can finally take solace in mario party done right for the first time in a very very long time 🥹
Shut up with your “recency bias” bullcrap. Jamboree is genuinely freaking great.
Is it even a hot take anymore to say super Mario party sucks? It’s my least favorite I’ve played by far I just don’t really have any fun with it. A good concept executed horribly can easily be much worse than a bad concept done right. And 4 should’ve been much lower in my opinion
