15:25 - Fun fact, go back to Buggy's flashback super early in the series and you'll see Rayleigh there during their opening North Pole/South Pole argument. Oda even made it a point to tell the writers of the anime to make sure Buggy and Shanks *did not* call him "Captain"

There is a reason why its been 1000 episodes and still its greatest show ever? the lore and world building is insane. This is just the scratch of the surface. the actual story starts from here.

This arc gets more and more exciting as it progresses, looking forward to the next couple of episodes
It's crazy how obvious it is that Crocus was on Roger's ship. When we first meet him at Reverse Mountain,he even says "I was a doctor on a pirate's ship for 3 years,too" and right as the straw hats leave,he says "maybe they're the ones we've been waiting for,Roger". Even he can see at a glance that Luffy will be the one to reach the final island and expose the sad history of the world. Such a cool moment in retrospect!
It's insane how many reactors either don't register and retain the fact that crocus was the Roger pirates doctor.
Ever since him and Tom I've wanted to meet each and every one of the surviving Roger pirates and see where they've ended up after the crew broke up.

You two most likely watched/read these parts many times and can't grasp how such an "obvious" thing to you wouldn't be for the majority of first timers.
Also, you two don't seem to understand how Oda can hide a lot of things in plain sight due to the vibe being comedy/silly at a lot of times which makes people let their guard down and not pick at every detail.
Or maybe you two are really among the minority who wouldn't miss such things often.

Obviously most people, me included, won't make that connection the first time around, it just feels nice to connect the dots once you experience those moments of foreshadowing again!

When I was watching this saga for the first time, it was like a never ending Roller Coaster Ride of emotions. One moment we're all on top of the world and next we all are reaching for tissues. No wonder I still find it difficult to watch That Episode.
And Brook referring to Roger as a Rookie was just a Moment of Gold.
That help to put in perspective how long Brook spent alone on that ship. The last time he had any contact with civilization was even before Roger became any sort of big deal.

I’ve watched and read the scene so many times. I knew what to expect… but there’s no preparing for that scene. Though because I’ve both watched the anime and read the manga I get the line mixed up lol. It’s slightly different. So that actually helped keep it fresh for me.

Fun Fact: Bellamy "The Hyena" from Jaya and Kidd have the same English Dub VA. Which is kind of ironic. Because Bellamy was a realist who believed that the one piece was just the joke of a man about to be executed. While Kidd was more of a violent dreamer who slaughtered anyone who would laugh at him for just believing in a myth.

In sabaody Kizaru was 10x stronger then Ruffy. The 3rd time Ruffy meet Kizaru,in egghead, he mention after 2 years he become 10 x stronger.

I can't believe how fast you're catching up. This whole series is a journey i started 2003 when it was first dubbed in my country. It just feels crazy to see how fast you made it through almost half of it already.

@@HaohmaruHL yes you can now. But you couldn't back in the day before it came out. When i started watching the local dub wasn't even past east blue and even in Japanese it was just at Water 7. I've also binged my fair share of Anime but experiencing an anime as it comes out just feels different. Jack is actually slower than others i watch react to it. A few weeks back for example TGL Who started later than jack went past him and are a few episodes ahead at Amazon lily now. Another RUclipsr called faxity is at Dressrosa after a year and a guy called Aimin is up do date. I also watch some grandma react to it who's just started with the east blue a few weeks ago she's at arlong park.

The most amazing thing is the writing. Thousands of chapters and people are hyped and hungry for more. Even now. Recent chapters in One piece are huge lore drops and unexpected turns of events, reveals about the true nature of some things. Thousand chapters later its still hype as hell.
And even without the main characters "on the screen" for weeks, the hype is huge
It's crazy that it's basically non stop ramping up for the next year of the show.

This part of the story is just.. freaking insanely hype filled lol. And there are multiple times throughout the series where you can come back to this arc and have different revelations. Mine watching this was: Kidd and Law fighting a Big character they’d lose against solo 👀

I can never watch Episode 400 without remembering that it was the last. As in, when I was watching One Piece on German TV back in the day, it was taken out of the programm after episode 400.
It took 4 years for it to be picked up again, by a paid TV channel, so everyone watching the Anime was forcibly put on hold for a long time. So when I think of Sabaody and these episodes, I always think of the extended years of dread of what might happen.
I still remember when I watched that 400th episode and the next day it was back to episode 1. I was so confused at first and then I was just sad that it wouldn't go further than that. And every time it reached 400 again I hoped it would continue. Only to realize it starts at episode 1 again...
@@Monstahonk Reruns ever were par of the course and so valuable for retraining information and seeing things with a new context of "OH that's what that meant!" or "Oh this was set up all the way here!" and so on. But of course wanting the next episode, especially at any plot crucial point, is higher on the priority list.
5:15 you can learn luffy can even move while he is even asleep even eating lol I think he must’ve found once while sleeping but it’s pretty cool little note in the flashback when it showed buggy and shanks arguing about the south or north being colder the guy who actually broke up the fight was Rayleigh himself

Bounty doesnt mean only power, mainly means that the person has made worst things (In Quantity or Quality), also what the person owns influence (In terms of people that "serve" him/her or territories, etc.) and of course a bit of the strength of the person.
Also means how much the government considers the person a threat. As in the case with Robin. Even if she had zero fighting capability just the fact that she can read poneglyphs.

Law use the Ope ope no mi, it allows him complete control of everything inside his "Room" allowing him to literally anything as long as he's in the room (like a surgeon in a operating room)
kids uses Jiki Jiki no Mi, it basically allows allows kid to create magnetic forces and use them to control metal (magnetism but better)

Bro Sabaody was THE turning point in One Piece, the amount of information and change that comes from this arc is...I honestly think it's unmatched in anime and it's done AMAZINGLY not rushed, using all the 400 prior episodes
