I play in lower ranks. What I see happen normally when there is a really good DPS player, that is playing a ranged character, is that once the enemy team identifies the carry they will swarm them to try and kill them. And because the skill levels are so low the good player's teammates aren't able to punish the enemy team for the outrageous tactics. But if the good player plays a more mobile DPS character that requires aim or skill to hit, they are often ignored.
There are more players who play DPS, than play Tank or Support. That means the competition for rank is tougher. You don't rank based on just your own skill, but based on comparisons to other players. That's why comparing the different roles to each other is at best a guideline. 17:48 That's why the player is in Silver. Sees the reaper flanking, ignores it. That's why flanking DPS can get so much work done in lower ranks. It's why McCree players can never resist walking around the enemy team to trigger a High Noon.
I think this video helps me personally as an Ashe main in silver. I would say I have pretty decent game sense and mechanics, similar to this guy, but I have to take the high ground more often and just play more. I'm also a Platinum player in Open Q, where I mainly play Ashe.
Can you upload more over analyzed not from the replay system but from their perspective like if it was in an actual game? Then we can also hear the comms which is a huge part of Overwatch.
Because they didn't need to? reaper and junk weren't pressuring them in any way that required switching to hard counters. This game was silver ffs you can easily play phara against two/three hitscans because they may not be able to hit you anyway in those ranks.
I'll never understand why people play this late in the season. 70% of games have leavers and 99% have people switching to random crap they've not played all season because they saw on Game Leap's video that it's the in-thing to play.
@@carsonskjerdal473 its worse cause ppl who never play comp except placements are playing and ppl are stressed about ending the season and where they're placed so its more toxic
Sty, thanks for the video, but I think you need to choose games that ended in loses, like it was in the beginning. If this player plays like this all the time, then I think he really belongs in higher rank. But you can't tell that from one match that is one sided and enemy can't counter Ashe. You can learn a lot more from loses of the players.
If he plays like this on average there is no way he should be silver. This is probably an outlier which isn't really helpful since he played out of his mind. Send your average game where you don't play like a god and don't roll the enemy team so you can actually get feedback.
i’m one of the “i’m in the wrong rank” folks🤣! i personally think my aim, position, and decision making isn’t terrible and is pretty decent. now, i’m definitely not diamond or masters, but i like to think of myself as a platinum who can learn a lot from that rank and build up. sighhhh, i’d like to think i’m rather stuck there because of the throwers often in my team, the bad decisions the team makes, and the fact that they are never communicating with us, despite all of us being in call. i’m always changing my heroes when the team needs it (i’m a flex, so it works well for me), but my team never does the same. whether it’s the fact they have a bad support set, tank set, or DPS. ah well, i have a lot to improve on, but being hard stuck in high silver and low gold is rather sour on my tongue. i do play with my homie almost all the time, and he’s in the same ranking as me. we did actually sink down to really low silver once, but then we went back up all the way to gold. yeah, this is just me ranting, don’t mind me🤣🤣!
I recently dropped from gold to silver since I'm not playing as much as I used to- let's be fair, playing 4h each season won't even help me keep my rank. But I don't think silver is that bad, the only thing I probably hate is that i have a high level account and I'm being flamed for "high level acc in low rank". It's like people don't understand you can gain levels through arcade games which is my most played game mode - and it has nothing to do with competitive environment.
silver games can be very unpredictable mate. I fell down there all the way till 1.8k because my mechanical skills and positioning actually got garbage. Though the community is like the nicest in that low elo, like best of the best and seeing that part of ow really gives you a different perspective. I've been climbing now since I got my grove back, I just need to stop making dumb mistakes as giving away my good positioning or actually running through the enemy just to flash a mercy as mccree. Now I know what you guys are thinking "why the hell would you do that?" I ask me that question every time I do it
I feel like some of the weird positions are carried over from other fps games. Like creating a crossfire at the door or repositioning to throw off the enemy team.
I reckon this looks like plat Ashe only because the other team are really bad. The player obviously chose their best possible performance to send in, and fair enough, but enemy DPS in plat would adapt to this instead of continuing with the potato silver reaper dives. Their Dva was particularly awful and a plat Dva would wreck this Ashe.
What if you changed team colors to purple and yellow before recording overanalyzed/GTR? That way you'd have the person being analyzed on purple or yellow and it would get rid of the reflex of thinking the 'good guys' are the blue team 🤷🏾♂️ Just thought that might be helpful
The ashe didnt really seem to ever get challenged in this game. Yes they tried to dive him a handful of times and spammed in his general direction. But at no point did they give him a really hard time. Never did something that couldn't be countered by a coach gun. I think in a losing game we would see more of why this person isn't climbing. If every game were like this they would be going up rapidly.
Thing is it would be interesting if we say vod of his losses.. if he says every game he plays that good, then show the losses one.. that way he can get analyzed on the plays where he died.. I don’t think he learned much from this.
He isn’t gold or plat. Diamond level play with Ashe minimum, and coming from someone with a 4.5 elim per life with over 150 hours as her. It’s sad to see someone go more than 3 seconds without heals when directly in LoS of their healers too.
I have gone games with 40 final blows and I would still lose. I could kill 2 people, rush in and kill 2 more (and die) but my team would lose to 2 tanks. I have beat gms in 1v1's which proves my aim; but I don't have any cons to help my team out, which is where I struggle. What do you expect, I'm fine with my rank I guess but when stuff like that happens I get mad.
I think he just suffers from having to wait out the DPS queue times. If you win over half of the games you'll eventually get there, it just will take longer than ranking Tank or Heals.
I dont think a player like this would be silver, i reckon they possibly dont change when heavily countered, or get easily tilted. There is somthing that happens somtimes, but was not present in this video.
i think the problem in this game is Ashe has to much of an advantage cause enemy dps won't go hitscan. So i sort think when this Ashe go against another hitscan it doesn't go well.
I was nearly plat as support but got hooked on playing one game after another when I was on a losing streak. I usually take a break and then come back after a losing streak but I pressed on because I was close to getting my golden gun. I thought I could easily climb back up because of all the meme's of "lawl, if you're silver or bronze then you belong there.". Let me tell you right now, silver is Overwatch hell. I cannot get out of it. Literally my teammates do the most stupid things I have ever seen. A rein will shatter when his entire team is dead, charge in and die. A Zar will bubble and just waltz into the enemy team solo and get eaten alive. My dps won't switch off to counter or just simply can't kill anything. I'm over here trying to heal everyone who is at crit health cause they can't los, while trying to keep the enemy off our backline cause my team doesn't wanna deal with it. I've seen genji's at 1 health use their ult and charge into the enemy team. Sometimes if my other support is good I can carry games as Ana or Zen but DEAR LORD...those games are 1/30. More than half of my games my teammates don't even use VC. Seriously, I feel like I have the worst luck. I love playing Overwatch but when you're constantly being paired with teammates who you feel don't even want to try and win....really makes me want to quit. Which sucks because I was having a lot of fun the closer I got to plat. If anyone has any advice as a support player on how to get out this....please let me know. I'm a solo queue player and if there is something I can do to climb then BY GOSH I SHALL DO IT. Ty.
See my gameplay looks almost exactly the same and I’m in silver too. I feel like when I first dropped to silver I actually deserved it but now I’ve gotten much better but I just can’t carry my way out of silver

For once I agree, I think he should be above silver. If I saw that gameplay without context, I would think he’s plat or smthn
Thanks man I’m always trying to get better

You can change the colors if you really want. Just use the colorblind mode to change friendly team to red and enemy team to blue.
Stylosa learned from Obi Wan xd `Its over anakin, I have the high ground
As a hanzo main I'd have felt attacked if you didn't add hanzo in the danger category at 10:44 lol respect the hanzo spam 🤣💯
@stylosa please suggest to the devs to give the option to switch red and blue teams in replays
funny i played with swanky pants today
Yeah me too
Can you upload more over analyzed not from the replay system but from their perspective like if it was in an actual game? Then we can also hear the comms which is a huge part of Overwatch.
I feel like Stylosa has really unrealistic standards for mechanics. Gold/Plat mechanics? Bruh what more do you want? This guy is great.
He is inconsistent in some fights usually when they already won his aim is Plat but when he is under stress its easily Gold if not Silver.
STY, THIS OVERANALYZED WAS GREAT, I REALLY ENJOYED THE PEN! :P
this series helped me so much I love it 💕
Its over Sty... I have the high ground
basically my ashe mechanically but im alot better at my positioning. GOTTA PRIORITIZE THAT HIGHGROUND
The real question is why isn”t Team 2 running a Pharah and Mercy when the enemy dps are Junk and Reaper?🤦♂️
Because they didn't need to? reaper and junk weren't pressuring them in any way that required switching to hard counters. This game was silver ffs you can easily play phara against two/three hitscans because they may not be able to hit you anyway in those ranks.
you must either play low ranks or console if you go pharah & mercy just bc they don’t have hitscans
Because Ashe also counters both of them. The Mercy should have just pocketed the Ashe more
I'll never understand why people play this late in the season. 70% of games have leavers and 99% have people switching to random crap they've not played all season because they saw on Game Leap's video that it's the in-thing to play.
Gameleap videos are the worst 🤣🤣
Just lost almost 70 rank in 2 games cause of that
Why is this? I've heard this a lot and never understood why late season would be worse? What would make more people leave games late season?
@@carsonskjerdal473 its worse cause ppl who never play comp except placements are playing and ppl are stressed about ending the season and where they're placed so its more toxic
@@typicalbengalsfan5411 ohh that makes sense! Might have to do some quickplay near end seasons from now on
Sty, thanks for the video, but I think you need to choose games that ended in loses, like it was in the beginning. If this player plays like this all the time, then I think he really belongs in higher rank. But you can't tell that from one match that is one sided and enemy can't counter Ashe. You can learn a lot more from loses of the players.
that Reaper was honestly getting bullied by Ashe lol
If he plays like this on average there is no way he should be silver. This is probably an outlier which isn't really helpful since he played out of his mind. Send your average game where you don't play like a god and don't roll the enemy team so you can actually get feedback.
I think people should send a close win or a close loss. It would be a lot more informative
It’s really hard to get out of bronze and silver because there are so many throwers.
Ladies and gentlemen! Rank matters! Beautiful!
I feel like sty should do guess the map for each episode
Nah bro that’s mob of the dead boat
i’m one of the “i’m in the wrong rank” folks🤣! i personally think my aim, position, and decision making isn’t terrible and is pretty decent. now, i’m definitely not diamond or masters, but i like to think of myself as a platinum who can learn a lot from that rank and build up. sighhhh, i’d like to think i’m rather stuck there because of the throwers often in my team, the bad decisions the team makes, and the fact that they are never communicating with us, despite all of us being in call. i’m always changing my heroes when the team needs it (i’m a flex, so it works well for me), but my team never does the same. whether it’s the fact they have a bad support set, tank set, or DPS. ah well, i have a lot to improve on, but being hard stuck in high silver and low gold is rather sour on my tongue. i do play with my homie almost all the time, and he’s in the same ranking as me. we did actually sink down to really low silver once, but then we went back up all the way to gold. yeah, this is just me ranting, don’t mind me🤣🤣!
if he is in silver rank, i should in bronze rank.
Now I know what you guys are thinking "why the hell would you do that?" I ask me that question every time I do it
So, in short, channel your inner Obi wan kenobi.
I've just gone to play Ashe and sit on the high ground.
I feel like some of the weird positions are carried over from other fps games. Like creating a crossfire at the door or repositioning to throw off the enemy team.
Wow a player who actually plays better than their rank. Best video in awhile
I reckon this looks like plat Ashe only because the other team are really bad. The player obviously chose their best possible performance to send in, and fair enough, but enemy DPS in plat would adapt to this instead of continuing with the potato silver reaper dives. Their Dva was particularly awful and a plat Dva would wreck this Ashe.
wow can we all agree that the mid explosion dynamite is beautiful
What if you changed team colors to purple and yellow before recording overanalyzed/GTR? That way you'd have the person being analyzed on purple or yellow and it would get rid of the reflex of thinking the 'good guys' are the blue team 🤷🏾♂️ Just thought that might be helpful
Sty is literally Obi Wan Kenobi in this video.

Reinhardt every two seconds
*tHE eRrOR iS mINe*
color perspective is the same always, because the code is the same for all 12 players
I mean they always say so don’t they?
He isn’t gold or plat. Diamond level play with Ashe minimum, and coming from someone with a 4.5 elim per life with over 150 hours as her.
It’s sad to see someone go more than 3 seconds without heals when directly in LoS of their healers too.
Ashe: why am I silver!
Also Ashe: played front line on the ground on watchpoint, one of the the best high ground map
He’s good for a silver anyway
actuly im curious has anyone who didnt submit the replay or video ever seen themself in there name in on the the game
What is your thoughts on Echo? I have been playing her in bronze and havent been getting that punished. Also do you have any tips for climbing from bronze?
