I wonder was there a problem with Sam Hornish and the Penzoil Panther team cause from the interviews in the begining it sounded like he was really on bad terms with them

This was not long before it was announced that Sam was going to Penske for 2004, so there was probably some bad blood coming out. John Barnes, majority owner of Panther was well-known to be rather scummy in his dealings with drivers.

I mean its an american car, so they kinda had to go w/ chevrolet, but i bet sam tested honda and toyota in the winter and would have had a different manifacturer for motors.
Seeing Gil and Helio run different chasis (GForce and Dallara) in Indy and Roger allowing this decision to be 100% by driver, i feel like gave him the freedom to know he can run whatever is the fastest!
Also thinking about how well he did compared to all other chevrolet (even w/ the upgrade it seems to be the weakest engine) i feel like alot of team chefs would have made a new team for that guy to join, so he had all options and no need to feel stuck somewhere he does not enjoy!
