Love and completely agree your tips - oils for hot oil treatment/pre-poo, deep conditioning and a leave in, a serum / heat protectant - all confirmation that I’m on the track with my techniques! Awesome!
Good information and advice. However, those with long hair that is older, perhaps two or three years (or more) of growth/length, may find that the older ends may dry out faster and need to be moisturized more frequently.
I agree with this routine. It never made any sense to me to add moisture daily when you've already deep-conditioned, applied a leave-in and serum/oil! More moisture can't even penetrate anyway. Thanks for sharing.
Girl I have washed my hair with a shampoo and conditioner (the conditioner is very moisturizing like I touch my hair and it's greasy but not ridiculous and excessive lol) Tell me why I thought I had to oil my scalp/hair twice a day 🙄 GIRL this is why we shouldn't follow all these gurus and just trust our instincts 😂😂 I'm over here like whyyy does my hair LOOK thin, feels weighed down instead of feeling and looking fluffy and bouncy like when I go to the salon 🙄😂 Thank YOU! Your comment is 💯💯💯!
I was shook when I started going to the beauty shop and my stylist said “you shouldn’t need to put anything on my hair in between my wash days”. Long story short she was right. My hair feels and looks great for two weeks.
My absolute staples are Infusium23 leave-in (courtesy of Dolce Dawn's channel! 🙏), Creme of Nature's Argan Oil leave-in, and coconut oil. I like to do the baggy method the same night after wash day. My hair has never been more manageable and buttery smooth with shiiiine doing it this way. I never use heat (t-shirt dry only) and a weekly mayo protein treatment. She knows what she's talking about! These tips work!
I'm glad I found your video. Used to put oil in my straightened hair, and was so annoyed, my hair looked a mess. Yesterday I went to my hairstylist and thought I'm not gonna put anything on my hair until wash day. Decided to look for someone who thought the same, and your video confirms my choice. Thank you.
Yes leave ins are very important. I just purchased the as I am leave-in a couple of weeks ago but I haven’t use it yet. But I will soon. I use the deep conditioner from as I am and I do love it.
@@RaveenCierrea I wonder if the As I am leave in heavy though? I have a pixie cut im growing out very short hair.I been using a liquid leave in right now by kera care but it tends to be frizzy it is so humid here were I live
I kept coming across vids abouy moisturizing hair where the ladies had longer hair in which they would put it in a ponytail after they sealed their hair. I kept thinking what about the ladies with shorter hair. So thank you for this video.
I have Thermal Reconditioned Hair (as seen in my pfp). I'm a guy btw. My routine is this: -wash every 2 weeks - shampoo twice & then finger detangle with rinse out conditioner. - rinse that out throughly and apply a deep conditioner (leave in for an hour +) - rinse that out - apply a cream leave in (not too much) + an oil to seal the moisture (not too much) - section and fully detangle my hair and install a heatless curl like sock curls. - take the curls down after a day and some change. Result: I have sleek "pressed and curled" hair without any heat. People always assume I have flatironed hair, but I only flatironed it on retouch day (so 2 times a year). I stretch my hair for 5 months. After 3 months I do twist outs or braid outs which give me a sort of Beach wave. Pros: curls last for the entire 2 weeks (they only fall slightly), no heat is used at all, hair is 100% healthy and moisturized Cons: drying time takes more that a day, if a curl is installed wrong it stays like that until it's wet again. ** I wouldn't advise flatironing any product into the hairstrand, but that's just me. If it works for you and your hair is thriving, you go, sis!
I'd like to know.... what is your hair porosity? Cos I feel some of us with high porosity type hair find it really challenging when it comes to holding onto moisture
Us high porosity folks MUST moisturize and seal. There's just no way around it. I tried not doing it for a few weeks and had breakage and dull looking hair that tangled and felt dry. Big mistake!
Hi, love ua videos been watching you, I agree with a lot you do.. Very helpful also I have a a quick question. About the chi product that sometimes you will use to moisturize. Is that Silk Infusion? M thinking to try it out. Everytime I moisturize my hair it became a mess!!! I have fine hair too and I don't like to tie my hair.

Yes, give it a try! It’s my fave! You have me intrigued I might need to pick up the deep conditioner now 👀

So pretty 🥰 love that you take of your hair. Its a learned process you've been doing since you were in college good job

Hey girl, low porosity
Us high porosity folks MUST moisturize and seal. There's just no way around it. I tried not doing it for a few weeks and had breakage and dull looking hair that tangled and felt dry. Big mistake!
@@RaveenCierrea How to know your porosity when relaxed ?
@@larisnnkall relaxed hair is high porosity because the chemicals have permanently lifted the cuticle.
Hello beautiful 😍 As I am is a good condition and I like the benefits. Chi is bomb too
Hey gorgeous!! Yes As I Am is theee best!!
Hair pretty, loved the video....I do deep condition no oils during week....roller set.
Thank you❣️ Yes girl, that sounds like a solid routine 🤌🏽
Gorgeous!
Low porosity and fine hair do better with little to moisturizer between washes from my experience.
Mmmm, that makes sense! Good to know 😊
What kind of coconut oil brand is that? I’m trying to find a good one please.
This is my grocery store brand
