My grandfather fight in Worsaw uprising at the end of uprising he with sevelar poles run tried to run away to sweden and he Did it
Igf my great great grandfather would have lived long enough he would have fought in it 100% he died ont he 20th of September 1939 from what my grandad told me he was a cavalry captain charging at the Russian guns my great grandma still has his saber

The failure of the Allies to help Poland in 1939, 1945, and again when the Soviets took control is a matter of national disgrace for the UK, France, and United States.
It’s a shame. I know it was Germany who attacked Poland but France and UK could’ve saved a lot of lives and end the war much earlier if they would’ve acted 1939

@@jamesharding3459 but at least France wasn’t able to help Poland 1945. But 1939 they could have been the main actor defeating Germany. That wouldn’t just have saved Poland, but it would have saved France itself too. And it would have gone out of the war as main winner and not as victim of Germany
In fact, Poland and Germany attacked Czechoslovakia. Strange as it may seem, but it was the Soviet soldiers who liberated Poland, not France, the United States and Great Britain. It was the conscientious soldiers who were the first to enter Berlin.

Поднять восстание, не скем его не согласовав, а потом говорить почему их не поддержали: во, это по нашему)
один хрен погибло бы много. У поляков не было ни ресурсов, ни времени на подготовку. В конце концов очевидно, что поляки согласовывали восстание с англичанами и американцами, так как не хотели быть под советским влиянием(командование бы однозначно было у ссср). Вот и результат печальный вышел, а у красной армии к тому моменту попросту не было сил, чтобы продолжить наступление с достаточной силой. Да и фланги были не прикрыты. С другой стороны это восстание ухудшило положение немцев, что тоже приблизило конец войны.
Вы знаете, что СССР не помог, потому что они хотели дождаться, пока немцы убьют всех поляков?

As an pole, i know much about this, WE, poles were waiting for support of Soviets, who were on the other side of the warsaw, the uprising was a disasterical defeat, we could have won if we had more ammo, guns, etc.
Czechoslovakia, which the Soviet army could have saved back in ' 38, sends greetings to Poland.

My great grandfather was in AK during the uprising. And my other great grandfather was in polish army and escaped the russians by escaping a train that he was in and riding off with his friend on a bike and pretending to be an officer. And when the russians saw him ride a bike they believed him because normal russian soldiers couldn't do it and only the higher-ups could ride them. And he escaped them and they never knew

The soldiers of Oscar Dirlewanger and Bronislav Kaminsky are the best in riot's suppression. And in Warsaw they showed their selves in full power
I love the Warsaw game. While I do you think the game glosses over a little bit of the tragedy, I do think it illustrates a really good point of the tenacity, but sadly overall futility of the conflict

The Russians used the help of the Poles and then the NKVD showed up and the Home Army soldiers were disarmed, imprisoned, conscripted into the Polish People's Army and even murdered.The Warsaw Uprising broke out so that the Home Army could welcome the Russians as hosts. And when the uprising broke out, Stalin stopped the army on the Vistula River and waited for the uprising to bleed out and only then conquer it in his own way, providing almost no help (The exception is the landing of soldiers of the Polish People's Army in Czerniaków and the negligible drops of weapons in the last days of the uprising)
