Thanks a lot for that tutorial man ! I've been willing to start orchestrating for months but it kind of intimidated me so I've been postponing again and again. You've made it seem more accessible so I will give it a try tomorrow morning. Thanks again mate ! Can't wait for level 2. Keep up the good work !
I've been producing music since 2018 and this has to be the first time I see someone actually show the control pannel for the pitch automation on FL Studio
This is a good tutorial! I love how everything turned out in the end. I just want to add more helpful information regarding the orchestration side of this tool. Since we are using FL Studio, a DAW, and not Musescore, we are given a big opportunity to modify each individual sounds. 4:43 is a way to lower the track volume but there is a better way to modify the sound. For each individual channel, press Ctrl+L to link them to the mixer. The mixer is a tool used to add effects and for this situation, volume automation. In this way, not only that we can lower the voicings of each melody but we can also automate it so that it sounds more realistic. Another way of making realistic sounds is to automate through the pattern itself. This is achieved by selecting the Volume section (originally the velocity) by pressing on Control and going to Volume. This is helpful for those pieces with repeating number of patterns. It is possible to add reverb and effects through mixer but not on the channel rack section. The EQ or equalizer is also suggested for mixing because it makes the whole piece balanced. After all of that is done, the mastering part is now up to you to balance the overall volume and fix the piece. I hope this kind of information is helpful in a way. Make sure to learn the piano roll, a bit of music theory, and you're good to go!
Wow, my mindscape went from a sunset in an open field at the beginning to a 17th century Russian castle by the end. Well done. Minor nitpick, some parts gave a 90s New York vibe, and it felt out of place to me. All in all, still a magnificent piece of work 👏
Absolutely adore every single part of this The song really takes me back to a medieval marketplace honestly Also, it definitely fits a Frieren vibe haha
Tip: if your audio clips stretch when the tempo changes and you don’t want them to, put the tempo to where you want it to be at and then click the audio clips and change them to either stretch or stretch pro and they won’t (it’s originally set to either resample or auto, sometimes generic though by default depending on where the audio clip is from). Sometimes it’s not necessary but just in case if anyone was wondering how to prevent that from happening while the tempo changes (this is for fl studio, I’m unsure how it may work in other software)
Awesome! Just my thoughts. I think maybe the reverb could be reduced a bit, I think it would be good, but in such a way, you can still have warmth of the instruments based on the expression or rather interpretation of each sections distance from the listener or the position of each section in the room or hall. Keep up the great work!
great composition ! I love it ! Bot too much reverb.. I think it would be better if you lowered the reverb a bit so that the solo instruments would sound like solos. And the violin needs dynamics and expression. Other than that it's very good
imo too many use the piano for orchestral music, when there's so much more texture to be explored, such as glockenspiel, kalimbas, or harps, which would have especially worked great for this track.
I make orchestral music as well ... Is it fine if I share a list of free instruments ? Because some libraries cost so much and maybe it will help others who are just starting :)
bro how did u make the flute sounds natural? u've adjusted channel pitch as far as ı see at 2:38. did u do it manually or is there any shortcut to do this?
@@uranus20tutorials but how do u automate channel pitch? ı mean can u link the channel pitch and the pitch bend on ur midi keydboard? or are u just drawing it with ur mouse?
hi, i'm new at these stuffs, i have a question about the thing on track 6, is it automatically become longer/shorter? and what's the outcome of shifting the length of the thingy? and i'm really sorry if my question is confusing, my english is not good xD
The file crashed and I somehow managed to re-open it to make this video, but it’s still unstable right now. I’ll share it after I find out the problem :)
@@uranus20tutorials would be great. I love to learn from FLPs new tips and tricks regarding mixing and writing better melodies. Really good tutorial and beautiful music
2:30 I mean this with all the love and respect in the world, and if you don't like constructive criticism I would skip my comment. - Consider using grace notes in places where you are doing those strong pitch bends at the start of measures, the pitch bends sound overly-done, out of tune and really awkward, the rest of the music is too good for how you are handling that. The vibrato pitch bends are great and how I do those as well, but you should really consider grace notes in place of the strong pitch bends, they're super distracting and slightly off putting. - An example so you know I'm not just trying to be an asshole haha. I think using grace notes like this gives you more direct pitch control for those leaps. ruclips.net/video/VUqF8mdhlWo/видео.html

I can finally stop playing the harmonic minor scale, thank you!
this is what i need!! Amazing work there bro!! keep it up
Dorian scale & 3/4 beat works well for Celtic/Medieval like composition 🤩

wowowow. insane tutorial! well done teacher! can you make a jazz tutorial if you accept requests? :D
how do you make those articulations? can you make a dedicated tutorial for that?
can you slide the link for the pirated version
Do a tutorial on 80s/90s disco.
Good❤❤❤❤
great video ! could you go more into detail on your approach for finding chords under the melody you've already made?
thats awesome
Nice video🎉 how about try harpsichord as piano?I hope it can give some medieval and retro feel to this style of the song
just the part of chord,it's lack of dynamic change that don't suitable for the melody
Can you make a fully dedicated tutorial video for the triangle?
Bruh you need a tutorial for the triangle? Use serum or something any or other synthesizer.
This reminds me of clash of clans. So fire🔥🔥🙏
this is crazy
You are incredible at articulation, do you have any tips?
I’ll explain it in next video :)

Very cool! What plugins do you use to write orchestra and oriental flute?
I listed the plugins I used on the description section! You can check it out :)
Can you tell me why you would automate the pitch and what it does for the track? Isn't it setting the song out of tune?
I used the pitch bend mainly to add some vibratos, but in some parts i also used it to represent grace notes.
🔥🔥
I notice the use of off-scale notes on the melody for the second part. Has it to do with borrowed chords or is it just an unrelated melody technique?
I mainly used C dorian scale, but in the second part I also used some notes from C minor scale(Ab) and C harmonic minor scale(B).
Sounds like ost from Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights
bro how did u make the flute sounds natural? u've adjusted channel pitch as far as ı see at 2:38. did u do it manually or is there any shortcut to do this?
I did it manually, and it’s not as complex as it seems. Try various versions of pitch bend that sound natural to you, it won’t take long :)
@@uranus20tutorials but how do u automate channel pitch? ı mean can u link the channel pitch and the pitch bend on ur midi keydboard? or are u just drawing it with ur mouse?
Sure, you can link your midi keyboard to the pitch bend, and if you’re not familiar with the method you can still automate it with your mouse.
Climbing out of Bronze with this one bois

bro im just a beginner what plugin do you use for this masterpiece?
The waltz chords with the piano melody kind of sounded like Ballora’s music box from Fnaf SL
Also just the flute playing sounds like someone is summoning a mythical creature.
Sounds like something straight out of genshin impact 😂❤
how did you make your fl studio gird in third?? in the piano roll
Would be great if you played a thin whistle instrument instead of that Chinese instrument
This could be on LotR OST easily
