I appreciate seeing this put up this way and have seen the comment below on why it was chosen. I'm looking to replace a 300' long, 6' vertical backyard privacy fence I had put up in 1998. I'd like 8' horizontal, wood stained panels, but a 80' section facing the sidewalk & street has been gang vandalized dozens of times over the years. So I might end up doing just that part all gravel board, to be easier to paint over and deal with, rather than constantly jacked up wood like before. Just thought I'd put why I'm considering it, seeing all the prison wall comments. Sometimes your area becomes a zoo & you do what you have to, to manage.

Wow, everyone’s comments are so rude. People should keep their rude comments to themselves especially since they couldn’t do a fraction of the great work you do. Just idiot losers who hate life and hate themselves. You did a great job!!!! I totally understand why someone would want something they know will stand the rest of time and prioritize durability. It’s also nice to see the versatility.
Can I use these gravel boards for a 30 inch high retaining wall? If so, could these boards slot in a lay directly on soil or would I need footings to support the weight? Thanks
What is the mixture you use to make the gravel boards? Is it ballast? Great work guys loving the content keep it up!

One gravel board on one of the last bays looks like it's only supported by 50mm of post on one side. Is that enough support?
They could have at least got the Stone effect Gravel Boards, But good quality fence panels will always look better if regularly maintained can't fault the lads they doing what the customer wants.
I watch a lot of your install vids & was wondering if in future videos you could let the viewers know the approximate cost of each install, doesn't need to be the exact figure but a rough cost. Thanks

Those gravel boards look well heavy
Just found this video, got 6ft by 6ft fence panels in concrete posts on the side of my house facing an alleyway that are forever getting damaged by people kicking them. What size are these gravel boards so i can get a rough idea of how many I'd need for mine 👍
What about the base gravel board? Does that need to be cemented in?
How are the gravel boards secured

That one on the back looks well out of level. I bet that installation cost more than the house 😂

How about doing a video on the making of your gravel boards.
Question for you . why did you put the flat side of all the gravel boards to the customer. but on each row of gravel boards the bottom board in each bay showing to the customer was a pattern?
the bottom gravel board was a rock face and the customer wanted smooth this time

As you guys are always saying “The customer is always right”. You gave him what he wanted, so in that sense it was a perfect job. And, as always, your workmanship and attention to detail, was exemplary. However, just a personal view, why on earth would you want that look in your garden?
I would off started at the furthest you would have to walk to start tge job so when you are knackered you woukd not have as far to go

Not so sure on having gravel boards as fences, I understand the concept of having it but, it takes away that garden feel. Each to their own tho, must admit it’s the first time Iv seen it in a garden. 👍
In all honesty he should have been getting new post as all that weight on them old post and also you don’t no how far the posts are in

One of the best video so far about gravel board fencing..It looks much better compare to closed board fence panels and also more durable and will defi last much longer..Impressed Guys...!

I dunno, it might be maintenance free and wont ever rot, or blow down. But it looks like a prison exercise yard, not a garden???
I remember doing this for a customer when I was 18yrs old that was fifty yrs ago they done it because they hated their next door neighbour but we put pebble dashed grit boards up facing in the neighbours had the prison yard look their side also we put ours up straight and level unlike how you have done it like a donkeys hind leg please don't use the old excuse that how it already was as it is so easy to put right before you started it's your reputation at stake when someone asks the customer why his fence is that bad he won't say that is how it always was he will just say D&J did it and that's the start of a crap reputation

Looks very industrial and type of fence found on railways. Horrible and none domestic. Painting would improve its apperance but it would never have a 'wow' factor.
Not gonna lie this looks horrible they’re called gravel boards for a reason. I know it’s not your fault but the customer must be deluded

That looks horrendous with the 3 dots on most boards were they are not smooth I would have told you to stop if that was mine
