@aprilcorbett, I didn’t listen to Carrie’s breakdown of the song yet, but wasn’t Cassie O’grady (the woman whose whereabouts still remain a mystery in the lyrics) the wife of Bobby and Carrie’s character is meant to be the girlfriend/mistress. Heather was the teenage girlfriend. I don’t think she was blackmailing the Moorers. Having said that, the lyrics do remind me of Sydney and Tammy in other ways. I think Tammy was the “leader”, while Sydney was the “follower” and what Tammy is capable of herself AND convincing him to do, as well, to her “rival” is just horrible to think about. I can’t imagine what Heather’s parents, sister and loved ones have gone through. To b*itch about that “whore” (or was it “ho”, I don’t remember) on, of all things, Disney message boards is beyond inappropriate, obsessive, pathetic and just plain strange. Why would anyone air that kind of information on a Disney chat thing? Anyhow, now you got me remembering that I never watched the Investigation Discovery channel Heather Elvis special that was on not too long ago. I’ve been meaning to watch it On Demand, but completely forgot. Thank you for the reminder. Anyhow, I get why you said these lyrics are similar to Heather’s disappearance. 🤔😮 I really like this song, but horrified at all that Heather might have, or probably did, endure because of an evil woman and her handcuffed-to-the-bed-at-times puppet-boy-hubby. April, stay safe in this bizarre pandemic of a thing. 😌
How can you send a demo to Carrie? I know it's impossible for her to write all her own music, but it has been done through time. It would be nice for her to write all her own songs for her next album:)
That is how Carrie's first album was done. Remember, they only had 60 days to get the album done with. Carrie gets demos all the time. Carrie has said that numerous times. Songwriters in Nashville, send Carrie demos. Every time, Carrie release a single, it goes no. 1.
This song is hands down my favorite on the album.
Should’ve been a single !!! Best song on Storyteller !!
this song should have been a single
I agree! Though it's got a lot of words. Lol
Loving the entire album, can't decide which is my favorite
Carrie better make this one a single!

Probably be great if this song release as a single.
Wow, this song reminds me of the Heather Elvis story
