The Ford Aspire: The price leader that no one wanted

The Aspire was offered as a 2 door coupe and it was also available in 5 door configuration 4 doors and a hatchback. The Aspire was longer and wider than the Festiva it replaced and it was powered by the Mazda designed 1.3 liter fuel injected inline 4 cylinder. By all reports it was reliable, got great gas mileage and yet people in the US Market wouldn’t buy it.
I’m not sure why this is but it is. I’ll tell you about the car you tell why it lasted only four years in the U.S. Market.
