@@koli0842 Because its more powerful then a V6, whilst not being much bigger. The car after all has no batteries, and such relies a lot more on the ICE after the supercapacitors ran out of juice. But the main reason is the roaring yet soothing sound of a V8. Its about the fun after all
I like the rear mirrors in cockpit. Something I’ve often wanted in rear F1. Getting Redbull X vibes.
Getting NIKE 2022 vibes here, honestly (I think that's what it's called, the prototype from Gran Turismo 4)
NASCAR has cockpit mirrors for obvious reasons.

@@DaniMacYo I will use it for esports going forward. Tried it about 50 shorts so that the viewers can see the rear view defending battles…. then got multiple complaints about it being unrealistic.
Well, this is exactly how legacy of F1 cars turboera from 80's could looks today, in alternative reality, very retrofuturistic.

I have found that thing isn’t as crazy fast as this, still fecking quick don’t get me wrong. Maybe my setup for the Nurburgring is incorrect. If it’s faster than I think it is I would love to give it another go
Hey I have this mod! The grip is just insane, and the acceleration and noise from that v8 is amazing. I would love to see F1 go in this direction.

I love driving this thing, so much fun hotlapping when you get the hang of it. There's a mod called airport Piestany that is mental in a high downforce car and suits this to a tee.
Been waiting for you to cover this mod Jimmer, drove it a while back and even me and my super casual Sim skills managed to lap Monza in less than a minute, I was astounded the even I could do it, I dread to think of the crazy times someone with skill could do in this weapon of a car xD
Limitation is not limited to the future of F1 cars, however the human mind and body has limitations. Imagine the carnage during an accident.
I’ve got one for you to try, I know you have the car tuner, well I kind of made a monster
Porsche 917/30 engine in a 919 hybrid, extend the gears to the max and you can hit 280mph on the mulsane at the limiter and still it wants to accelerate
Put that round the ring and you’ll equal if not best this!

An interesting mod, but no way F1 will go this direction in the near future: they are trying to achieve carbon neutral, so V8 is not an option; all wheel drive is also impossible, it’ll add too much weight; the windshield is also too fragile when put against the current halo system (made of titanium). Also, even if we ignore all of those, and try building it in real life, it’ll probably end up more like an LMP1/hypercar than F1.
They tested a military grade canopy a while back that showed very promising results. In any case, having a halo-type structure underneath the canopy could help
well I think it actually is possible, all F1 needs is a sustainable fuel that doesn't burn CO2, Sebastian Vettel did it with the 1992 Williams car he drove at Silverstone this year, he literally tuned the engine to be able to use it, F1 is looking to have one by 2026 and they are keeping the same engines that burn CO2 now in 2026.

I actually tweaked the X2010 and the Ferrari F1 2025 concept to have similar pace to this one just so I can race it against them. Man it's bloody awesome

The sound of the car is interesting. At lower RPM / lower speeds, it sounds like the exact sound for the Sauber C11.

This has almost every thing I thought of as improvements for an F1 car to make it safer... the only thing missing is wheel arches to prevent direct wheel to wheel contact launching cars into the air... I'm glad I'm not alone in those thoughts.

I know you mainly concentrate on cars, but if you want something even more of a challenge than the Nurnbergring, try 'Isle of Man Ride to the Edge 2' and the fabled Sneafell mountain course. it's only 38 miles 😜

Would be fun to see this car take on a F1 track, something with a good blend of speed and technical sections like Spa, Mexico City or Interlagos
It would be pretty cool if you could get a race in this against a current f1 driver just to see if they can pull any more performance out of that car. Also, I know it wasn't being played in fast forward, but it's so fast that it looked like it was

There is a MOD of Nurburgring that change the asphalt for dirt! Really good for trying rally cars around, and the circuit changes a lot in dirt! Very difficult.
I’d play the crap outta that mod.
Now THIS is a "future of racing" concept I can actually get behind!
My only issues with this concept are: it needs to have a flat-plane crank and needs to rev to at least the limit of the current V6 cars. Other than that, I think this is a really good idea.

if we get to cars this quick... it occurs to me at some stage they wont be drivable on old tracks right. at some stage humans are the weakpoint with reaction time, unless the tracks get bigger. Not longer. just... bigger.
Some user has also made skins for the Formula Vector themed around the Teams from the WipEout series (Playstation's Anti Gravity Racing Game Series).
We need to have a 'talk' with the FIA to implement this

I’ve always wondered if these style cars would be quite a bit heavier due to needing an A/C System and a De-Fog Setting IRL. These cockpits have to be 25*C or more and in a racing suit with no wind? Yea I’m okay.
Why would they need those things? NASCAR and other closed cockpits don't have any cooling systems either. Airflow can do a lot of work.
Rarely any current cockpit is that cool in warm/hot day. NASCAR sometimes can reach over 35C for 3-4 hrs straight (2x more than F1 races). Drivers have big bottle of liquid buuut it still can be bloody hot in there.
FIA could mandate minimal size of vents (in front and some side-grill? (as long as it doesn't damage structure) but having more Indy-car like cockpit-Halo combo would make more sense for open-wheelers.
@@MrBlueBurd0451 Nascars don’t have a fully enclosed cockpit. The driver side window is open and only has the net for instance.
This car is more reminiscent of an aircraft.
Have you not seen the Praga? No AC in that thing.
With a fully enclosed cockpit I can imagine the drivers suffering from heat stroke on hot tracks unless there's some way to vent air into the dtiver
Of course I should have expected the replies of how other REAL race cars port the air into the driver ignoring the fact it doesn't exist in this model Jimmy is driving. I am well aware how it's done in real cars.
Current f1 cars already vent air into the cockpits from a pipe through the nose. There 'just' needs to be a collection vent to empty the air

Cyber Forumula, add weapons like laser tag that drives can use. If hit it slows them down for X amount of time.

Seeing this video makes me wonder what the fastest time is anyone has ever gone around the green hell in. Surely there are cars out there that just don't lose grip and have millions of HP that are capable of doing a 1 minute lap, but you'd need a superhuman driver to get the car around. That would be a fun investigation!

@@Jimmy_Broadbent Fair enough lmao. To be fair you set a pretty unrealistic goal in the Dirt video (since so many top 100 times on leaderboards involve just cheating the course) and what you ended up managing was still an insanely good run
The W12 in iRacing, jimmer did a similar laptime to this. Imagine the W11 which is the fastest ever F1 car. This car with 1269hp is still no match for that beast.
I’ve been wanting someone to put a NASCAR V8 into an F1 car for forever. It’s nice to almost get that with this mod

The halo has grown on me and looks way better than any windshield ever will. In my opinion.
Sadly the chances of F1 cars going closed cockpit (which would actually give the cars much more downforce and less drag than they currently do) are basically zero. This is due to safety concerns in cases of crashes, like the drivers getting injured more due to being closed in and the harder access to the drivers the medics would have in a crash due to being closed in.
And yet LMPs seem to work just fine.
@@5thearth Tell that to the people running F1, that is the reson they gave for the Halo instead of closed cockpits.
