4:28 How did jimmer almost perfectly recreate Carlos' crash lmao
literally like a replay haha
I love seeing Jimmy suffer making quality videos for us 😭
Edit: WE LOVE YOU JIMMER
So true 😂
Great to see Jimmy back in AMS2
not a sim but the spray effect in F1 2011 is incredibly realistic
nor is this by all accounts.
@@PixelisedPaul AMS2?
@@PixelisedPaul Why? Because of the Madness engine?
If there's anything I want to have back in new F1 games, it's exactly that, the F1 2011 spray effect
@@Logan912 If you compare AMS2 to the other big dogs, rFactor 2, AMS1, Raceroom, iRacing etc it does fall a bit short. Still a good game though, especially the graphics and weather.
Sim racers are used to racing in the wet because they're always sweaty 😂 love you jimmy
they weren't aquaplaning on the wets though, numerous radio messages said that the grip was fine but the visibility was the issue. sainz spun because he aquaplaned on intermediates
Great to see Automobilista 2 in VR :) My fav sim in VR implementation.
Quite impressive Jimmie can withstand the atrocious performance in rain racing, perhaps not as bad because no headlights?
Race Room Racing Experience is pretty decent in VR too tbh
@@Peterdeskater100 Performance in rain is pretty good for me. Didn't really notice any difference also with headlights.
@@STVGamingOfficial then you're not using VR or you are in last position. This is not something that runs well on certain machines it's a fundamental issue in the game.
Cool that he touches AMS 2 again. The game completely transformed since his first review,. Still not perfect but the devs are on a good way
Oh how I have missed these types of videos. I love the sweaty iRacing stuff don't get me wrong, but this stuff is just classic old jimmer fun.
Wish you'd try ams2 now the 1.4 update is out, its been an impressive update to a visually stunning vr experience.
Lovely to see VR Jimmer again, and the return of CONE at 7:58.
You cracked me up at "Charles leclerc.. Charles leclerc." 😂
5:48 "If gap, car" - Ayrton Senna, verbatim
I always like Jimmy trying ams2, slowly turning his opinion, less so than most others, but slowly, still acknowledging the direction is right. I'm in love with this title
Good to see you doing content like this again ! Keep having fun man love the ams 2 hype as well !
I remember back in the days of playing F1 series where I removed assists and drove on wet track with usual medium tires
it was fun drifting, the throttle control needed was insane xD
3:01 "These cars are so low, so long- AUGH!"- Yep. So low, so long, Jimmer.
I swear every time you upload it makes my day an even though you don't know me and I kinda know you through your videos it's like talking to a friend when I watch your videos it's a nice escape that just lets me stop worrying
The crash at 4:30 is so eerily similar to what happened to Sainz holy hell
Where's the tractor? :D
So happy to see an AMS video of yours!
Great to see some VR sim racing twattery from Jimmer. Love it. More please Jamble!
Shorter videos that pop: Judging Sim Fails, Crazy Mod Tests, (like V10 F1 cars with slicks, or other "What If" scenarios,) AND any video that shocks, surprises, elates, pleases, teaches, or makes Jimmer emote. Also, I would watch the fuck out of Jimmer judging his own Sim fails. Talk about comedy gold.
gigachad sim racer dominates moist racing circuit
9:24 Doc Hudson taught you well Jimmy
I love the Tatsuro Yamashita in the background every once and awhile
What a video had me in stiches, thanks Jimmy!!
Got my notifications set for your podcast on Fast n Loose, waiting for Friday like 👍
if you ever feel useless, remember there is someone mounting blinkers on BMW
Driving in full wet starting behind anyone is crazy. You see just about as much as a blind person with a bucket over their head.
You'll still see more than Stroll though
Amazing Accuracy with the Sainz crash! GG
"if gap, car." is my new favorite jimmer quote
Amazing lunge around T1 at 6:17. That was a Russell move if Iv'e ever seen one.
"if gap, car"

This video honors the GOAT in the best way possible. Good luck with the championship!
Good to see some VR footage again. Crashing in VR is the best (I actually enjoy it).
Jimmy B uploading = best 11:18 minutes of the day
Jimmy you’re looking proper fit man keep it up my brother
I have been lying in bed all day, feeling more and more sick, not being tested for the C, though. Still I feel anxious about it. While watching this video I realized (once again) how glad I am that Jimmy's out there doing his thing, screaming into the microphone while crashing cars for us. I love you Jimmer and thank you for being here, simply doing your thing and helping me deal with my anxiety and depression ... :) ❤
I feel you mate… I’m down with the flu and feel absolutely awful! I do love seeing jimmy doing his thing too
Wish you well liam
i love watching a grown man get sweaty while wearing a vr headset. 10/10 content.
I LOVE the way AMS2 feels atm but unfortunately my PC is dead so I cannot play it :(
thank you for the content on it jimmer!
it'll be difficult to have a ground effect aero based f1 car that can run safely in the wet, because they throw the air up above the following car any part of a circuit that doesnt get goodish airflow will be impossible to see anything on (tbf even the parts of suzuka that did have some wind were pretty bad too), plus that rooster-tail ends up washing the spray out wide.
as a side note it does perfectly visualize how the new regs work & shows that although these new cars can follow way closer if you have a 3 car train the aerowash can/does end up effecting both the people behind the person leading the train pretty severely if everyone is around a second apart, you could see when Charles would touch a wet patch of the track when Sergio was slipstreaming him just how harsh the dirty air can be on a street or street circuit.
wet races really demonstrate all the engineering that goes into f1 the rain really helps you see how the aero is work in real time, but the way these new cars pickup water off the track at race speed with the floors let alone wet weather tyres is insane, I don't see how the FIA could ever solve that issue imo.
Nice one, Jimmy. It certainly feels like the FIA and Formula 1 played Automobilista 2 in conditions like in the video and determined that no one will be able to drive a Formula 1 car in the wet ever again.
Try to get Ventury effect with water and air combined... Then get back here, and tell me how it went.
I will be waiting, with your melted down floor of the crashed car due to cavitation.
im new to f1, this makes me respect the drivers that much more when i see them in the wet
3:52 - don't go into the light(s), Jimmer :D
That commentary was fantastic
0:11 he payed his respects to the myth, the legend, Nicholas GOATifi.
1:14 mr bean impression on point
Getting all the practice in for the weekend 👍🏽
Charles Leclerc Charles Leclerc Charles Leclerc LOL @8:17
0:36 that caught me off guard so badly i spit my water
lol the counterstrike loadout sound was inspired
F1 and Jet Set Radio?! Hell Yeah!!
Surely the comments section debating the viability of wet weather racing will be civil and intelligent.
Surely no one's comment will completely ignore the architecture of both current F1 cars and tyres and say something like "give me half their wage and I'll drive, I drive my car when it's raining all the time and I've never died"
Bro, "viciously shat yourself" 👌🤣
+1 on the terror (but required if there’s a chance of passing) of following another car in the wet. I’ve seen on board vids of full rain in several cars, the worst being NASCAR @ COTA. The spray from other cars was so bad that when another car spun & was sitting perpendicular on the track another coming up @ only ~ 80% of the speed he could have been going (bk of the poor visibility) suddenly T-boned that car @ 90 mph (~110-120 b4 he hit the breaks) w/ maybe 1/4 sec reaction time. I was AMAZED neither driver had any serious injuries after that impact. I can’t imagine driving at race pace at like eau rouge in the rain w/ any cars anywhere near the front of my car.
I have seen some on boards of slower vehicles (Eg karts) w/ heavy rain & the slower speeds kicks up the h2o much less, so @ 60-70 mph, it still would be very challenging, not impossible to see like above.
I couldn’t imagine racing in anything as fast or faster as a GT3 or F3 car. Practice laps, no problem, but to race like 4:19 that is too terrifying to consider.
that scream after jimmy said 'violently shit yourself' was hillarious
Great content jimmer. When are we covering trophy trucks. Baja 1000 is coming up 😭
Please jimmer!! No puntarino!! 🤣🤣
the swipes at the stuck cone had me dying
naaah 2:55 scared me i thought someone was sat next to me ripping a fat cloud on his VapeBro9000
Jimmy, im not sure if im correct but with rainfx in Assetto corsa you can see how high the MM of water is on each part of the track. since the rain drops are individual entities, you should try it out in assetto the rain is really really good
Classic Jimmy content. (definitely not) An F1 car, vr headset and doing terribly for our entertainment. As long as Praga goes well at the weekend now everybody will be happy! 😁
The spray is the reason I dislike the regulations.
The airflow from the cars makes the spray spread out like a peacocks tail, unlike before where it was more streamlined.
Exactly.
The window of the full wet is when the spray with the current aero regs is too much to race. So the inter is faster when there is still too much spray with the interst not clearing water of the track fast enough.
Also, spray in this game seems to be a lot more tolerable then the last wet race start irl.
"We're still not sure what happened at Suzuka."
I streamed it live and I agree.
Ahahah the node graph bit ahahah
sent me back my dude
Answer: very hard!!
Good old VR where your head doesn't actually need to be on your shoulders 🤣😂🤣
3:51 bro took the Chandok line
if thats an index, someone makes a fan you can attach to that front bit that pulls air out of the headset so you dont ROAST your face off while playing
that latifi gran turismo fail at the start killed me
Was hoping this was Jimmer trying to race while in the bath
You can see why Lando in Russia said "leave me alone". The level of concentration must be insane
Nothing like zoning out for a second. Mashing it into a corner, getting about half way before it hits you, that you never breaked
The image of Max in this freaking sofa will make great memes
Unfortunately I don't do sim racing 😢 but brooooooooo your videos are epic 👌🤣
"if gap car" is something I shall be quoting going forward 😁
The editing on this channel never fails to make me lol 😄👍
I don’t think its been implimented in AMS2 but the tech for localised weather is about 10 years old now, first debuting in F1 2012
3:38 *_Nice_*
The main issue nowadays is visibility. The aero we have today draw up more water than the older cars did.
TBH I've always preferred driving in full wet over inters but I always thought it was normal. I can do full dry or full wet but being somewhere in the middle and having to manage temps has always seemed way harder.
The true Goat line
Remember when there was actually a tyre called "Monsoon"? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
The lesser-spotted Jimmer VR video! See you this time next year, for the next one!
7:59 that sounded like Kimi
If you think that is tricky then you need to try rain fx in assetto corsa, I think it's the most scary wet experience
Assetto Corsa doesn't have rain physics, It's only a visual effect
@@edoardo5648 it does have rain physics
@@edoardo5648 it does, you activate the setting to use extended physics and then it gives wet physics
@@Yammmmmmmy Do the wet physics affect the AI?
It’s still impressive either way.
@@Logan912 yes the ai are affected as they lose a lot of grip but because of this they brake very early and it isn't possible to race properly with them
DONT FORGET BOUT THE EXTREMES! They were planning on using em for monaco! like bruh, why even make an extreme tire for snowy and black ice like track surface, or too much rain, just to not use it and think properly XD. I would LOVE to see them use extremes for the first damn time. it would revolutionize f1 massively
Pls drive either group c turbo coffins or the v6 turbo of the 80s in the rain
3:40 He was great on water.
Great content as always. But still question is why "back in my days" they could drive with same visibility, less downforce and skinnier tyres, but not now even with all new safety measures?! Meanwhile FIAWEC can race in hecking snow(ask Alonso). It's just sad.
Jimmer drives in the rain, AND has driven an f1 car. I think that needs to be combined
I lost it when Jimmer went "Charles Leclerc, Charles Leclerc, Charles Leclerc" X""""D
Doing the Latifi move
Is Jimmys MEEE the new GigaKubica EEEE?
Sainz didn't actually aquaplane, he was just too eager on the throttle
NODE GRAPH OUT OF DATE? REBUILDING????
Haven't seen or heard those sounds since my Half-Life 2 modding days 😎
Jimmer getting acquainted with Japanese Barry R
It can't be stressed enough how dangerous it is to be driving in the wet. Pirelli did great in meeting demands to shed water off the tires, but the lugs are so big that the car becomes unpredictable once they warm up and experience some Gs. Here's to hoping the FIA either a) doesn't push drivers to race in unsafe conditions (looking at Suzuka), or b) working with the teams and Pirelli in making a stable tire for wets. Ya I get it, it really sucks when a race gets cancelled but it's not worth the drivers or staff injuring themselves, or worse.
Another good solution would be to work with engineers on adding detachable parts to the cars that help to stabilize them in the wet.
Teams fit them on when the conditions are wet, and pit to remove them when track dries up.
8:30 Jimmy using the Max Verstappen strats
Jimmy. I actually have a question about moisture. When you were in the shed how did you keep the moisture down so you didn't fry your pc,wheel etc??
there's a 2022 skin mod for the game btw jimbo
