Nice job! I’ve owned a 40, 62, 80, and 200. Just picked up an ‘06 100. I have a couple of things to fix, but she’s going to be a great one! Thanks for pointing out your favorite features. 👍
At a previous job (rental vehicles) we had the 105 series Land Cruiser base camper model. Apparently the model had the solid front axel unlike the 100, though looked identical. Bench front seat, vinyl upholstery and antique steel wheels. They sold quickly at disposal time.
6:24 i would not fall asleep in the wilderness with your feet hanging out your rear hatch tailgate... id be paranoid that a sasquatch would see that as a sign that i wanna be taken lol. Awesome video btw. Very informative. Im currently looking at a 99 LC with 215k miles for $2700 and yes the frmae is great for a maine vehicle. Runs great drives great.. was listed just yesterday.
Nice video: thank you. Just thought I would mention that the rear a/c controls are located where they are (in the roof, above the backrest of the second row seats) so that they can be operated from both the second and third row seats.
the long storage compartment in the rear right where the floppy elastic is, should hold a tool kit and a extendable pole to wind down the spare wheel from under the car
I’d like to get a vehicle for exploring with my family. The LC100 seems like a great option, but I’m a bit concerned about the space. I think I could do it if we removed the rear seats and built a floor to ceiling door system and pack very lightly.
The rear ceiling vents only blow AC. Heat only comes from the lower 2nd row console vents controlled from the front. But it really doesn't need the rear heat as it heats up pretty quick inside. But the AC comes from both 2nd and 3rd row ceiling vents controlled front or rear. It is much appreciated by passengers as it takes much longer to cool down, especially the third row if you use it.
Used to see this all the time parked by the capitol. The TRD sticker always caught my eye. Nice rig for sure. Noticed it had been missing for a while. Hopefully I’ll get to see the new one soon.
I bought my 2002 new - now have 298, 700 miles on it and it is ROCK SOLID. Also never replaced my rear tailgate shocks. This is a vehicle I would get in and go across country with 5 minutes notice and KNOW that I'll make it without a breakdown.
here in middle east, we have the land cruiser with rear difluck untill this day, it has never stopped since 1998 up to today (2022), and we have a lot of options that you guys didn't have, for example we had it in manual up to 2007 in both v8 and I6, and since 2008 to 2021 only in v6 and diesel v8. Wench is optional, since 1998 to 2007 we had two engines; 4.7 v8, and the amazing 4.5 I6 with a crazy ability to tune to crazy numbers. We had the option to have the spare tire mounted on the rear door, and additional spare will be below the car, we had very low option model such as manual side windows.
Hey brother you are incorrect about the overhead a/c and heat control. It actually works the vents in 2nd and 3rd row. The placement is strange and would lead you to think it was only for the 3rd row.
My neighbor has one that’s been sitting around for awhile. I was thinking about picking it up because I notice these and the Lexus version seem to be getting pretty hot and valuable. What do you think?
Does anyone make a rear screen for the side windows ? So your feet are available if a creature is hungry while your sleeping with your feet hanging out..
Notice you said you turn the heat on for the 3rd row hvac. I have a 99' and there's some discussion about that particular year not having heat, just AC. I can only get AC out of mine, not heat. Found out when I actually had passengers in the 3rd row and was trying to turn the heater on for them. Are you positive it blows hot air?
Since posting this video I've realized that I assumed a lot about the functioning of the rear HVAC system. I honestly didn't use it enough to ever really learn how it works - which tells you just how useless it kind of is. I regret the assumptions I made about its functionality.
The 100 could only be optioned with AHC for the 2006 and 2007 model years. The Lexus LX 470 had AHC standard throughout its run, from 1998 through 2007.

New owner of a 2007 LC. I just learned like 10 things I never knew. Now I'm even more excited about my rig. Thank you!
Still enjoying your LC?
@@noctilucent7396 Yep. My dog basically took over. No more back seats. It's my Nights and Weekends rig.

What’s your favourite and why? Looking at getting a 100…
well here I am, 3 years later I'm getting a LAND CRUISER TODAY! its a 100 series shes older but she's well taken care of!
The third row AC system also supplies the second row head liner vents, They’re just kind of small.

Well done Chris, you've got yourself an outstanding car. I also love these Land Cruisers 🏆🏆🏆
Thanks for the pro tips, especially the tailgate step :) The LC 100 and 105 are also very popular here in South Africa. Such comfortable beasts.
I love my 99 LC too! Great idea on using the tailgate as a step to access to roof.
3 years later still enjoying your 99 cruiser?
Old video but appreciated. Sold an FJ and buying a 100 series this week.
Awesome man how are you enjoying it

Thanks for the tailgate step tip! I never thought to use it for that. I have a 2006 LC.

Legendary build quality. Thanks for the video

Have to say it fits beautifully in your driveway. You should see these things in the UK, they look comically large

I can see this now - thanks for the clarification. Such weird placement. I wish I'd played around with it more.
This is why I'm afraid of buying a LC it means I'd probably sell my beloved 4runner
Great info! Have a 2000 model 100 series and learned some new things from this video! 🤙🏼
Damn Chris all of these commenters seem like they're really into you
I've never known a love like this before 💕❤️💕💋👙💖💘💘💘💓😍🥰

@@986Ctheir are Land Cruiser everywhere in Dubai, most of them are white

If you think the third row heating and air is “random”, you’ve never had kids, lol.
I had no idea the land cruiser had a small fart window. Makes me want it even more, lmao no ac for the 2nd row
My neighbor has one that’s been sitting around for awhile. I was thinking about picking it up because I notice these and the Lexus version seem to be getting pretty hot and valuable. What do you think?
Cool truck. I like your boots. What brand/model are they?
The lx470 had a first aid kit in that cubby. Not sure about the warning flag though
Do you have a brown window tint? i’ve never seen that before. what kind of tint is that? would love to put it on my LC
Excellent video, very informative.
Have you owned a first gen Escape? I have a 05 Escape Hybrid. Love that little thing!!
Best overview ever!
Honestly the best 100 series video I've ever seen! Too bad you're selling it, I'd love to buy it!! I live in Denmark though
What is the tires and rim size as we see currently in the video?
What wheels and tires are you running? I want the exact same ones
In my 2002 Lc the 2nd row vents are controlled by the console on the 3rd row not the 1st
Nice review Chris, i am in the market for used TLC 100 series, would appreciate if you could share any lead from people selling their TLC. Thanks.
Excellent I got an 06 and is a great vehicle 👌

Love the LC, nice review! Also, those are some cool boots lol. What are they ?

yes, mine blows hot air but not A/C. I think it blows cold from the top and hot from the foot well
