After watching your No-mato video I went to the store. Looked everywhere for Tamarind. Gave up. Came home, watched this video. Now I know what Tamarind is. Powder, or pods, Tamarind, here I come. Love this.
I ADORE your videos! I love that you are willing to experiment and change things as you see fit. I do the same thing, look at a million recipes, look for the common denominators, then play! Have been feeling really sad about no sauces for my beef burgers, meatballs, ribs, etc. When my husband is eating his burger on a bun with all kinds of yummy things, i'm looking at mine thinking, oh yay, I can put some fresh herbs on it. :(! ANY sauce ideas you may have-THOSE would be much appreciated videos... sauces and dips. Especially a mustardy, or mayo-y or veg dip kind of thing. Thank you for your exuberance, your humor, and your down-to-earthness. The perfect balance!! :) Happy 4th to you too!! I so appreciate your help as I start out on this AIP biZness!
Thank you so much for your nice words, you made me smile :) I have a queso sauce video coming soon that would be SO good on a burger! And a few salad dressing videos too- ranch, Caesar and vinaigrettes :) Here is my favorite veggie dip: ruclips.net/video/TCwyjgbNpkU/видео.html
Hello! You are awesome! You help this AIP’er so much. Your recipes are wonderful and I love how you keep it “real” and simply things. Will be trying this BBQ sauce soon. What is the storage info on it? How long in the refrigerator and can you freeze it? Many blessing. Looking forward to more of your recipes!
Thank you so much Denise!! This keeps in the fridge for about 5 days and YES you can freeze it and it is just like the day it was made when you thaw it, so feel free to make a big batch :)
just made some... I didn't make it EXACTLY like yours but uh it was ok... it was like the south carolina yellow mustard type you see in the store...didn't have the smoked salt (couldn't find it) and I used acv instead of lemon juice... big mistake... too vinegary... oh well it was fun to try... thx for the vid
Sorry it didn't turn out awesome! The smoked salt helps a lot- and tamarind! I should make a new BBQ sauce recipe using ACV because squeezing all of that lemon juice is a pain and most people will want to use ACV instead lol. Next one won't have coffig as base either as not everyone has that...definitely going on my to-do list!
@@RealWorldAIP thx... but what's funny is I can't stopping eating it with everything 😂😂😂... it's actually ok i just need to cut back on the acv a bit is all... I'm almost out and need to make some more so I'll make a few adjustments... but yea if you make another one I'd def tune in
Hi Stacey, I've seen several AIP recipes calling for tamarind, but Wikipedia says it is a legume? I don't get how tamarind qualifies as AIP! A quick Google search didn't get me any closer to an answer either :(
Just like with carob, we don't consume the tamarind seeds, only the pulp around them. This is from the Autoimmune Wellness site: "Carob - Carob is a legume with an edible pod, BUT it gets a pass. Why? Because we only consume the ground up pod, not the seeds"
@@RealWorldAIP That makes sense, thank you! I'm going to pick up some tamarinds next time I'm at the grocery store because I do miss that tang that tomatoes provide. LOVE your videos by the way - there are so many AIP blogs but only a very tiny number of AIP youtubers. Keep doing what you do because it is greatly appreciated!
Hi! I just started following you and love your videos! I'm new to AIP and this is so helpful on so many levels! Question... how long does the bbq sauce keep? If the shelf life is short do you think you could freeze a portion of it? Thank you!!!
Thank you so much, I'm so glad my channel is helpful to you! 💕 I'd say this BBQ sauce keeps in the fridge for 5-7 days and YES, you can definitely freeze it! 🙂
@@RealWorldAIP Thank you! Sorry to bother you with another question... what kind of ninja do you use?? (If you cant disclose this info I totally understand!)
@@katiewhelan8178 No worries, I like questions! 🙂 The Ninja I used for years that is in the video is here: amzn.to/2FZPMKG . I liked the mini bullet a lot but it wasn't strong enough to make nut butters or thick sauces without a lot of effort. Hated the big blender. Food processor was a bit small and the chute too narrow. I replaced my food processor with this one amzn.to/2NWrCHm, I love it. As for the blender...I got a Vitamix for christmas, OMG it is a machine😍!!! I like it better than the Ninja because you don't ever have to stop and mix or pound down the ingredients, it's effortless. But pricey! This is the one I am using and loving: amzn.to/2D05ntY None of these companies sponsor me or gifted me any products, these are my honest opinions😉
LOL, that means you are normal, most people don't😂 Coffig is an AIP compliant coffee substitute made out of dried figs amzn.to/2tdApJi and tamarind is gooey sour-sweet paste that gives authentic tomato-ey taste to faux tomato products- and is also great for sweet and sour sauces too! amzn.to/2tDpAQS🙂

you are so lovely. I love your videos just because of the way you go about teaching us how to make these recipes. thank you

Love your recipes! Just a quick side note, capers are a nightshade!
Thank you! Capers are actually not part of the nightshade family, they are AIP compliant.
Made my orange bbq last night-urs looks way better!

Such an awesome recipe! Can’t wait to try it! What brand of smoked salt did you use? I’m looking forward to getting my “Bbq” on.😊
Thank you so much!💕 I have Rachel Ray brand I found for cheap locally 😀

@@RealWorldAIP Thank you so much!! You just covered all my concerns and debates over blenders!
Anytime, glad I could help!😊
Hey at about 9 min in the video, you said you added 1T of honey and 2T of coconut aminos. What measurement is T? Tablespoon or teaspoon?
If it's a capital T it's a tablespoon. Lowercase t= a teaspoon😊
@@RealWorldAIP awesome thanks
You truly have a gift for this. I may try to make this today. I have my Viome test coming. Thanks for all your help!
Thank you so much, I'm so glad my channel is helpful to you!!😊💖💖
Coffee? I thought coffee was not AIP.
please tell us how you tweaked it?
I'm not sure I know what you mean- did I mention tweaking it in video? Please let me know at what min:sec and I will watch and try to figure it out 🙂
This is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!
You're very welcome!😊

But this is a reintroduce phase ? Because o was reading that coffee is not AIP
I don’t use coffee in the recipe, I use a coffee substitute called coffig that is AIP compliant
@@RealWorldAIP oh ok. Thanks 😊
