Then again New Wave as a genre was used to describe American bands like the Velvet Underground. But yeah, MTV changed that definition as it was only UK artists that made videos and they needed something to describe the next wave of punk.

Kinda sounds like a mix of Blondie and the Cranberries... which is an awesome mix. Hell, Julia Cumming's voice is soothing like Debbie Harry's and it has that Dolores O'Riordan edge to it.
