    Jalen hitting those catch n shoot 3s with no hesitation was so nice to see.

    100% agree with wanting Fred retiring as a rocket on a team friendly deal. I just hope we can manage the cap space correctly to keep him and our young core

    Sengun made a hand switching reverse layup while being fouled, and this guy is a 6-11 center.

    Great pod guys. mostly agree with the take both of you have presented. i agree Jabari has been the most disapointing during the preseason. we need his shooting and it doesn't look any better than it did last year. I also agree on Cam. his decision making is still raw even tho the defense looks better. can't wait for the season to start. we are poised for blastoff. GO ROCKETS!

    Coach Dash coaching would've also benefitted Amen Thompson, Cam Whitmore, Jabari Smith in their Ballhandling, Pick and Roll Angles, Defense, 3 Point Shooting Balance.

    I love my Rockets this season. I believe we will be a solid team this year with a ceiling of around a 6th seed this year. Our second unit will be our backbone. In a perfect world, I would love for us to upgrade Dillon Brooks with a more offensively gifted player like a Paul George/Kawhi player. I say this because it looks like at times the offense struggles with this team. Having another all star would put us in the top tier of the west, a la OKC.

    Jalens 3s look more balenced and fluid. Not worried about Jabari cuz he still gives you defense and rebounding. Now Cam..... he's either a 3pt shot or a straight line drive and nothing else. That's a problem for me

    Will I agree with your point on not giving out max's rn to sengun or jalen. But I think it also is understandable if either one kinda "demands" it, while knowing the team benefits that will come by waiting. Both guys are constantly hearing people talk about how they can't coexist, I mean what if we end up seeing stats where a lineup with steven adams has the best +/- and the team feels they can do better without sengun which would open the game for Amen tompson more. There is a very real scenario where they can get screwed

    If Cam does not improve his basketball IQ this season honestly.... it is INSANE how high non-rocket fans are on Cam and his value, even media members around the league question if he will be the future of the team over sengun or jalen. He has ALOT of trade value honestly, so if we were to make that superstar trade...

    On Cam, you can go back to summer league and see how he was playing and know he was going to be the odd man out.
    He has Westbrook in him

    It’s hard to tell 3rd pick to stand in the corner in Jabari. Kids usually have more ego’s than adults. Same with Cam, he was pouting that last game and only passing it every time and never looking for his shot.

    • @thebradeauxandwillshow

      Brad here - I don’t think Bari has to necessarily stand in the corner the whole game, I’ve just seen him out of place or unnecessarily clogging the paint at times when he should be spacing the floor. (Because he’s good @ it)
      Low sample in preseason and he didn’t really do this much in the past, so I won’t read too much into it unless it carries over to the regular season.

    • @patriotpatriot1111
      @patriotpatriot1111 2 месяца назад +1

      Cam was definitely pouting last game. He and Bari need to step it up.

      When you're on a roster that is this stacked, it just comes with the territory. Devin Booker's role was reduced to that of a Patrick Beverly on Team USA this past Olympics because of that very reason.
      Jabari has to really up his offensive game if he going to avoid that.

    • @CornellG
      @CornellG 2 месяца назад

      @@3rdCoastAlliance Team USA has the best players so that is expected. This team doesn’t have any all-star outside of technically Fred. If this team wins 60+ games then yes, sacrificing is worth it. But if they win 43 just to make the play in, I could see Jabari being upset. Especially if it’s in contract year. Young players normally don’t sacrifice like older players do.

    If the Rockets trade Cam it would be a mistake unless for a big name.

      What do you value in Cam?

    • @CornellG
      @CornellG 2 месяца назад

      @@nienpayne9820 He is the only person, outside of Alp, who can force his way into a bucket. Amen may have the body but he doesn’t have the force. Everyone else is finesse players so you need someone who can bully when need be. Please he shoots the 3 better than our guards outside of Fred. Reed is shooting garbage in the preseason plus he only can make it when he is wide open. Jalen I don’t trust unless I see a bigger sample size. Teams will zone us up and you will see the importance of having Cam out there.

    Tari Eason and Amen don’t scare people offensively with the second team. Even with Reed out there. Teams will simply zone it up and they will struggle. Cam can force his way to a bucket so he’ll force the coaches hand.

      So back ups will be able to keep up with amen & tari’s athleticism…crazy

    • @CornellG
      @CornellG 2 месяца назад

      @@inasty16 They’re not always going to play backups. Teams don’t share the same subbing pattern. Even if they did, I’m sure most teams will zone things up. Tari isn’t a shooter, Amen isn’t, Adam’s isn’t, and Reed needs a lot of space to shoot and he is too unselfish to keep shooting the same shot despite the defense giving it to him. Cam is the only true scorer on the bench unit.

      @@CornellG you’re underselling the IQ of Amen & Tari, we’ll see

    • @CornellG
      @CornellG 2 месяца назад

      @@inasty16 Tari has the IQ level one step above Cam. Teams are giving Amen the Ben Simmons treatment with sagging off heavily when he is above the arch. I'm telling you, the offense will struggle until they put Cam in as the backup 2.

    Cam Whitmore plays like KJ Martin, that is not good for a Shooting Guard/Small Forward.
