I got promoted to an analyst, I have always loved big data and now that I think about it, I was soo perfect for this, my skills match just perfectly :D

Excellent video. Sometimes , depending on the company, the PM does this. Is Excellent when a company has a separate position to do this important role.
As a BA. how much tech skills do you need to be successful? As in understanding coding languages, and computer science? Surely, if you're telling businesses what to do with their IT systems, you must need to be quite confident with IT?
Super helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to upload this content. I am looking forward to learning new ways to build my capability as a potential business analyst.

Depends on the department, and what they want. I came from Finance Tech. In my particular industry I had to troubleshoot on servers themselves. I was doing the same work It would do in production, but in uat. And I knew every architecture element of the system. I transitioned to another technology team and I was the one that had more technical experience. Now it seems I’m more prepared toward It and product management and I’m being mentored into it. It is what it is. Each industry and company applies needs and priorities for their business analyst. Sometimes you are more into the IIBA project analysis and in some industries they have no clue what a business analyst should do and they just want you as a regurgitate of what the business wants; without analyzing if it’s going to be detrimental in the future and counter intuitive to their own overall goal. Sometimes you are more process oriented and sometimes more systems oriented. Each company does differently and even in the same company different technology teams have different ideas.
@@TK-wp3iw Hi, I don't think trigonometry is needed. But when it comes to mathematics, statistics plays an important role in business analytics. Kindly go through the modules in any college's website offering business analytics course. You will get an idea which subjects are needed for the course.
