Awesome part 2. Can’t wait for part 3! That Dalton Lake to Elk Creek section was my favorite part of the trail. Lots of great views and more gentle terrain (albeit with elevation gain/loss) after that rough ATV section before Dalton Lake!
So many familiar sites. I remember seeing that”bull”, but he was just a steer. So I had to drive the herd for about 2 miles. I hate supreme pizza, but I ate that in about 10 minutes. The UTV trail was a muddy mess, but I made it through. Made it to Dalton Lake and somehow managed to set up on a hornets nest. Had to bail out. Thankful for Jon and his help!! You crushed it!!!
Of course I know what Teletubbies are. You always reminded me of La-La. I was wondering if you were going to do a resupply on this one. 5 days is a bit long and would be a heavy food carry. I couldn't recall if there was a good place to resupply on this trail.
I'll be honest - I know what Teletubbies are...I actually vetoed that show for my kids (who are now both in college). I could not stand that show, nor the one w/the animals where the one animal had a speech impediment. Give me the Roadrunner and the Jetsons anyday.
Lovely. Made me go and look at my pics of SD. Yes - my kids loved the Telly Tubbies. It was a British show.
New subscriber. Great content. Thanks for sharing. You’re giving this 42 year old backpacker dad some inspiration.
Always impressive daily mileage.
You should be the official Centennial Trail Ambassador with all your experience on it.
