Lions fan here but we won't even make it to the Super Bowl this season. Might not even make the playoffs. Will probably make Wildcard game (which I don't consider playoffs).
I predict at least 8 regular season wins and 10 at most. Probably not more than 9 though. This is including the easy matchups.
We won't make it to the Super Bowl before 2024, if then. I do say we will make it there by 2026 though.

However, Goff had a playmaker in Cupp when he was in St. Louis and Stafford showed what a real QB can do with good talent. We'll wait and see. And agreed, if Willis is still there, they have to grab him.

@@Willie-C We moved up 20 spots and pushed Minnesota, a division rival down to 32. They move up from 46 to 33 in the second round, but that's not really a big deal unless we think we're going to miss something in those 13 picks. So, essentially we just gave up a 3rd rd pick for the guy the Packers probably wanted badly.

I think GMs are balking at how much the vet WR market has blown up so it changed the value of drafting WRs early on top of there being a good number of first round grade WRs. Better to pay a guy 4 mill instead of 28 mill is their thinking and use the savings on other positions.
This. The market became so bloated this offseason that teams needed to adapt for value. now going forward either the WR market collapses because they are being over paid vs their effect on the team (meaning these teams are ahead of that trend) or the market continues to grow and these teams have potentially huge value trade pieces in the future if they produce.

As a Vikings fan, we got fleeced. We gave up the best safety in the draft for the second best safety which was a massive drop-off in talent away.
We get an extra player tho, plus move up to the second pick in round two. Since the draft is a bunch of lotto tickets, more lower players > fewer higher players.

The best part of this in hindsight: packers on the last 3 drafts were ahead of the lions in the picking order. Each yr brad holmes made a trade and moved ahead of the packers. And who did the lions pick? Jamo williams, brian branch, jamal gibbs and terrion Arnold. Wow freckin wow. Master class.
