That section is actually the only part that has no harmony between the voices, as in both sections bo is singing the exact same notes. Harmony is what musicians call it when multiple notes are played together, what you heard in that section was unison
"Look Who's Inside Again" made my heart drop. Just the contrasting chord progression and tone makes it sound so surreal and creepy. It fits really well, to be honest.
recently, i haven’t really been sleeping well and have been very stressed, and when i try to sleep, i think of the ending of this song and it just fits my emotions when i think of it.
I think it's the superposition of the two that are not in the same key that makes it an interesting harmony. Maybe a harmony with fourth all long which makes it a bit strange and you find it creepy. I am not sure of what I said I did not analyze this too deeply.
the contrast between the bo in comedy and goodbye is amazing, as if his initial idea was to improve the world with comedy but in the end he is the one who needs help and he doesn't even believe in this idea anymore, this song is brilliant
not only makes me appreciate the ending so much more - but this editing, as "minimal" as it is its perfectly synced and split (also panned ear to ear) so thank you!
I had an old version of the video that got ~17,000 views but I remade it because the audio in the first one was wack lol. here's the older one if you would like to compare: ruclips.net/video/sXwasx4wHnw/видео.html
Audio is panned L/R. If you have broken headphones, you can enable mono audio in your device settings to hear both sides. EDIT: I don't have the musical background to pitch shift, I apologize.
This might be a weird connection, but as I've been listening to "1985" off the outtakes album a lot and it feels like he does something similar in the second verse as he does at 0:26. It's not exact, (in AEoM/Goodbye he keeps going down, but in 1985 he stops), but it feels like a connection since the line (How can I be what I am but 40 years ago) has similar lyrics to Goodbye
In 1985, he sings "How can I be what I am but 40 years ago?" And in Goodbye, he sings "Am I right back where I started 14 years ago?" My personal theory is that this bit in Goodbye is a callback to that moment, which sadly was unincluded in the final product of Inside.
literal goosebumps. on one side, its just some silly songs, but despite that, his lyrics are profoundly powerful and deeply thought provoking. bo is possibly one of the greatest lyricists of our generation.
@@mavie2687 yeah the stereo audio isn't limited to just headphones! if you're using any stereo speaker system (like laptop/TV) then the sounds will be separate there too. it will just be less noticeable because the sound waves have to travel through more air to get to you and that allows for them to overlap!
this is really well made, good job! I plan on doing an Inside analysis some time in the future (although no clue how long that'll take...), is it okay if I use this video for that purpose? I'll credit you, naturally.
sure, you can use this video to assist in your analysis. i would prefer for people to not reupload this exact video to their channel but that is not what you are asking. i am perfectly happy for you & others to use this video if it's being used within a transformative piece
I haven't seen anyone else talk about the parts (lyrics/cadence/movements and many more things) that refers to Bo's career. The first comparison is one I also noticed and I really need to go through and make a list of what could be, intentionally or not, references to Bo's previous work.

Technically that’s not a harmony because it’s just bo singing the same thing but layered together
@@Ic-gv2eo listen from 0:42 onward. There is some harmony. Not just unisono.
@@Ic-gv2eoI think they’re referring to when he sings “Apathy’s a tragedy and boredom is a crime”

YOURE SO SMART
I love seeing his appearances so different in both. It was like Goodbye was his entire decent into his isolation. Bo is a genius.
Bo burnham referencing his song in his first show (words words words what’s funny) in the last song of his (for now) last show

Exquisitely edited, and showcases bo's talent perfectly

And also "I'll see you on the other side" like the other side where "the Chicken" went no matter if it got killed or not ...
(From "the Outtakes")
I noticed that with headphones one side plays the corresponding side. Super cool.
I kinda wish he did one for "Are You Happy," would've really tied it all together
