I had the same reaction when I heard all the expansion themes in the EW trailer. Sooo good! Both Shadowbringers and Endwalker are S tier peak! BTW. In Dravanian Hinterlands, that was just the New Sharlayan colony but they abandoned it due to Garleans. What we saw in the trailer was Old Sharlayan. And yeah, Thavnair was mentioned ever since 1.0-2.0. Just like Sharlayan. Which also reminds me that devs suggested that the fans rewatch both 1.0 and ARR trailers before EW, since EW ends the saga that 1.0 and 2.0 began!
13:00 Alphinaud was never a Scholar, Scholar is a lost job only practised by the WoL (potentially) and Nymians. That's why you never see any NPC with a faery healing. Alphinaud was a non playable variation of Arcanist, like several other Scions from Sharlayan. If your WoL hasn't unlocked Scholar, then canonically, there is not a single person in the world able to practice that job. Also for Radz-at-Han, the place has been mentioned very regularly since ARR, like Sharlayan, but since none of the main characters come from here, it's more mentioned by less important NPCs, or in flavour texts of objects or food. So Rad-at-Han was, just like Sharlayan, one of those places that players were hearing about regularly for the last 10 years of the game without being able to visit it. :')
I think Alphi actually created his own Job from arcanist. If I remember his snippets of dialogue he got frustrated with the limitations of his carbuncle in ARR, then developed Obsidian and the other altered carbuncle he uses himself. Remember, Alphi and Alis (despite her comments to the contrary) are geniuses, the youngest students ever allowed in the studium. Though Alphi was the star intellectual of the two.
Actually, Surito and Setoto are now becoming more open to teaching or replenishing the scholar population now that the tonberry affliction has been cured in the lvl 80 shadowbringers side arc. This already means the WoL wont be the only scholar in Eorzea eventually, as developments to improve the population have only started in post shadowbringer.
@@zefyrisd69 actually that’s still wrong. Alka Zolka was the one to introduce you towards the scholar quest, and therefore they are originally the ones who would stumble into Surito who is the tonberry Scholar. If you weren’t chosen, any other summoner Alka would have met would be next in line to be the first scholar when she had the chance. You’re the first to discover it, but that doesn’t mean it could only be found by you. You just happened to be the summoner that was needed to journey with Alka to meet the tonberry scholar, Surito.
@@katnerd6712 Correct. Before becoming a Sage he was an Academician. You can see the name of the scions jobs when using duty support. For none playable jobs we have Y'shtola as a Sorceress, Alphi Academician, G'raha Tia is simply listed as All Arounder, Ryne was Oracle of Light, and so on.
Around 17:30 when your friend is talking about Radz-at-Han: What might be more familiar is "Thavnair", which has been referenced extensively as a home of knowledge and alchemy. Radz-at-Han has been mentioned before, but not as often as Thavnair-Radz-at-Han is like a capital to the Thavnair region.
If you play the trailers in-game using the menu, it uses your in-game audio settings for music and voice levels. That's why the trailer is mixed differently on RUclips.
the position of sharlayan isnt that if they do nothing the world will turn out fine. their position is that it is not their place to sway events one way or another. they exist to chronicle events and le them run their natural course
I hope u understood the dad as the story went on he was the anti to protect his kids he tried everything even if it was view as underhanded he did what he had to do as a dad ppl were quick to judge him but as a dad u will do anything to protect your kids even if u have to use "threat's" and also there was that spell he and the other members was under so even if he wanted to tell them the truth he could not as the spell was only lifted in endwalker and that scene at the port he was finally able to tell them everything so he had to use whatever methods necessary to get them on the ship that was leaving.
I always try to get people to watch the trailer on youtube when they get to that point but the streamers never listen because everyone shouts for them to do it in the game, then they get the barely audible voices Wish Square-Enix would fix that audiomix problem on the trailers in game, it's been a problem for at least since Shadowbringers.

17:45 The music in this part is Torn From the Heavens, a common theme you hear played throughout the game, especially in important story moments.

@@untrustingstatue Sure, but it's only canon if you've helped them. in other words, if your WoL is a scholar.

Wainting for your commentary on the series! (Just watched you having mental breakdowns on twitch XD)
I love how fast you picked up on the music changes and going back to the previous expansions. Some cool theories cooking 👀
22:30 ish; the sharelyan forum spiraling outward is modeled after a nautilus shell, which is the symbol of the patron god of Sharleyan, Thaliak
Thaliak’s symbol is the scroll, not the Nautilus shell. The shell however is the symbol of Sharlayan.

just a little reminder that Elidibus hang out on the moon quiet a lot in the previous expansions
Ayee I see that Dai Gurren flag in the back, I have the same one.

I'm at 1502 hours and I just unlocked EW last nite myself. What a journey it's been, and I hope ur adventure has been equally amazing
This trailer was also the Reaper reveal, with Zenos picking up the scythe.

Just check the vods and you’ll see!
Is that the team Dai-Gurren in the back? You're heavily going to enjoy Endwalker
