As an old head (40), the Jordan 5 black metallic was the first shoe I held and inspected. I'd like to thank my uncle for my shoe addiction.
The 14 last shot was the first one I bought with my own money.

In my opinion, The Old School Millennials(Older Millennials) were born from 1st January 1982-31st December 1992. And New School Millennials (Younger Millennials) were born from 1st January 1993-31st December 2000. And I am a Malaysian Chinese. I am a Pentecostal and Charismatic Christian. I was born on 8th December 1997 in Brunei. I definitely prefer the Young heads as I am a young heads
Great list. 3s are my favorite silhouette. But black/infrared 6 is my favorite sneaker of all time. Playoff 11 right behind.
As an old head, I gotta say I'm somewhere in between yours and the younger list. I really like the 1s, I think it's a clean, classic looking shoe that's easy to wear with just about anything. I do agree that it looks like a lot of other 80s Nike sneakers like Dunks, Terminators, and Air Ships (Jordan's first Nike). My list would go 4, 3, 1 / 6, 5, 7, 11 / 12, 13 / 2, 8, 10 / 9, 14.
I mostly agree but 10’s are valid. They were the 1st pair I bought with my own money in 1994…I remember it like yesterday 😊
3s are my goats as far as Jordans. I was 10 and living in Chicago and started following basketball that year so it holds a special place
10s underrated they clean comfortable and have decent basic colorways people need to stop hating on them

Old Fart here at 45, I had all these until the 6s. That's when I quit buying Jordan models. The hard pull tab on the back cut my ankles up, so I ripped them off. Last pair of Nike I bought was in 7th grade, the Mowabbs. Everyone made fun of my silly sock shoes in weird colors. I was Adidas and NB from that point on. Now my OG Mowabbs are worth an insane amount of money, hahahahaha.
7's and 5's are my favorites, hoping to see some 8's next year

The 8s are goated imo, they’re dense, but you really feel like you buy a quality product when you pick them up. I’m just a fan of bulky shoes as well
Great video and 100% agree 1’s are meh. Never been a fan and I’m an old head too. 5,3,6,7,4&11 for me. 5’s are my all time favourite. Remember them when they came out in 1990 and then seeing them on Fresh Prince. That 3M tongue 🥵

I'm just getting into sneakers and my first pair of Jordans were the recently released Jordan 7 black olives. I didn't like them at first but after failing to get most of the 1's and any of the dunks I liked I decided to give them a try. These will hold a special place in my heart. I'm glad people aren't too crazy about 7's right now because I actually like most of the colorways they come in.
The 7 was the first Jordan I got back in the early 2000s. I’m glad the hype beasts aren’t on them. Top 3 model for me and the most comfortable Jordan there is. I just got the cardinals for under retail.
Infrared 6’s are the holy grails of Jordans to me. Bred 11’s are a close second

I actually quite like the 9s, they have a bit of a work boot shape to them and I think they would make for a great winter shoe, they look quite durable as well, no idea if they are as I’ve not worn a pair but it’s so hard to find good colourways for them. The yellow and black ones from a few years ago looked nice but being like 19/20 and broke at the time, I couldn’t get a pair

As a 90s kid, I very much agree with the old head tier list.
The Aqua 8s were some of the most comfortable and best sneakers I’ve ever worn as a kid
I bought 13’s and got compliments from strangers, which was pretty cool. My first, and I’m get off my lawn age. I think they have the most luxurious look of all of them because the dots resemble ostrich leather, or whatever it is. 14’s look luxurious too. The next I kinda want are 7, 6, and 1. 9 boots look good to me. The rest are in meh tier for me.

17 years old here, but I totally agree with how you nailed what most youngsters think about Jordans 1-14. Although I’m an exception, I have many favorites, but I should say 13s, 12s, 11s, 10, 1s, and even 3s, 2s, and 4s really catch my eye. Huge fan of the 7s and 6s too, and the 8s are growing on me, so are the 14s. To be honest I love most of the models from 1-14 but the 9s are not my favorite. Not saying they’re bad, but they’re just not as good as other models.

As a long time collector and in my mid 30s I’m all about anything 2-6 and 11-13. Still love 1s, but they’ve gotten really overhyped and played out the last few years. If I had to only wear one J forever though it would be 3s hands down. By far the most comfortable

i am quite new to sneakers, only got into it late 2020/early 2021, but here's how i would rank them:
goated - 3s, 5s, 11s, 13s
valid - 1s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 12s
meh - 4s, 14s
mid - 2s
L - 9s, 10s
i like jordans quite a bit, but im more into a cross between comfort and aesthetics, hence the 4's mid placement. don't know why, but i just don't get the 9s and 10s. only thing i really like about them is the 10's special outsole.

@sneakernomics is goated. This list also made me realize I’ve become an OG and that there’s kids in the teens and early 20s that are sneaker heads and they have their own trends now. Time is flying man

I agree with your list. I personally think the 7s look to much like 6s but that’s not necessarily a bad thing
First Jordan I ever bought was about 2 years ago, (never thought I would be able to pull them off as much I wanted to) my wife convinced me.. Not as popular, but picked up the Indigo 12s.. Loved them. Following that October, picked up on release day, Midnight Navy 4s, birthday that just past (sept 10th), wife surprised me with Concord 11s❤ and last month grabbed the Cool Grey 11s.
The Jordan 11 might just be my favorite Jordan retro of all time hands down. My favorite color way definitely has to be the space jam 11. It’s a timeless shoe probably even more versatile than a Jordan 1 which is also a good second for me in the Chicago/bred colorways.

I pretty much agree with your list except for I'd put 8s as meh , 1s n 10s as mid, 2s as an L and I'd put the 6s as goated because those were my first pair of Js and I remember how sick it was to watch him win his first ring in the black infrared which is an elite sneaker...its funny what you had the young dude say about 2s because that's exactly what they did with the 1s... I remember when 1s were clearance rack bricks kids bought as a cheap skate shoe lmao

Good list broski! I’m not a huge fan of 2’s…..besides the OG Chicago highs. Those are incredible imo. Same with the 7’s, but I love the Cardinals! Great list.
Great list. Could u do a part 2 where you rank jordan 15s and up to 38? I realize there's a good portion of sneaker heads that don't really consider them timeless like the first 14 but there were some really cool showings of shoe technology. And it was so cool seeing all young talent with those insane PEs

The first list with the youngsters was, I think incredibly accurate 🤣🤣🤣I was surprised that on your list, had any L ,your list is slightly different from the one I would have the 6 would’ve been one of my goated 🐐 because the six infrared was the first Jordan that really got me into the Jordan trainers/sneakers because I used to play basketball and and watch the balls, especially when Michael Jordan in the finals against the New York, Knicks, Patrick Ewing and John Starks, where Michael Jordan spin on the baseline and dunked on Patrick Ewing forever sketched into my memory as a child and I was bitten by the Jordan shoe bag since then.
The rest would be a conversational piece because it would entail of too much typing, but the 6’s is forever. My first and favourite the 1’s come second and have a story of their own.

I never really uderstand the hype behind the jordan 11 but maybe it is just me. The 8 on the other hand was always a pair i realy wanted to have but after the take flight undefeated never realy saw them in a great release... still thinking about grabbing a pair of take flight's

I am in the younger side of sneakerheads but yeah list is valid to what any other young guy would say. But I agree with your personal list but I would switch the 2s with the 8s and put the 1s and 6s in goated. I am a little biased on 6s cause it was my first jordan as well and 1s are just like converse to me they are just perfect

I’m 16 and only about 2 years into the game, so my opinion is bound to change, but this is my ranking. I really don’t think that any of these designs are bad, but the 9’s and 10’s are definitely boring
For the most part, I think that the vast majority of Jordan’s (base design) are super clean, it just depends on the colorway

my personal favorite and the best of all time jordan silhouette imo is probably the jordan 4, jordan 5s are the most underrated and second best. I own both and there both pretty comfy, especially the 5s.

3s def my favorite, they feel most comfortable while avoiding the bulkiness of most jordans and thats considering jordans arent even comfortable

4s look so good, but their fit varies wildly! The Breds are not gonna fit the same as the Thunders. And they almost always hurt my feet. Only pair I own are the OW Sails.
