My dear 47 year old husband died of sleep apnea in 2003.I am so pleased to know that a lot more attention is being paid to this disorder now.

I have many reasons to be very concerned. Blood clots, brain injury, seizures, long time sleep deprivation, age (73), alcohol. Blood pressure & cholesterol! And falls. Presently going to a balance centre as I am off balance and light headed. Tthey say it is vertigo. Not interested in other possibilities.
Have tried many different eating patterns. It is near impossible to see doctor let alone a specialist. Broken shoulder & ankle due to falls. Result, never damage right arm and hand. When I last saw my neurologist about 8 years ago he found Grey area around where my brain injury was. Thought it may be scar tissue. Haven't been able to get appointment since.
Question: What about all the benefits being raised for carnivore and more fat eating vs plants & vegetables. Carnivore advocates and comments from their followers are so positive about increased health and many medical issues being resolved. Many physicians speaking about high cholesterol and blood pressure not being a problem when eating Carnivore. I am so confused and frightened about who is correct. Glad I accidentally found your channel. Thank you both.

Uh oh. My entire career was based on me missing out on sleep.

Eat a WFPB diet around 98%. Cannot get to sleep. Pain and discomfort mainly. Once asleep I get up 4+ times a night to bathroom. Will get to sleep usually around 10 p.m. and awake at 4:30 - 5:00 A.M. and cannot go back to sleep. Always tired. This discussion is so interesting,,, will keep listening for ideas.

10 pm to 5 am is not too bad unless you’re a child or teenager then you definitely need more sleep as far as I know.

Please consult a sleep expert who would send you to sleep lab to diagnose your concern precisely. Your condition seems pretty troublesome

I read that diabetes makes you use the bathroom more often and less energy

With severe insomnia, should one take medication such as Trazodone in order to get sleep while addressing the core issue which as you have noted, can be a long process?

So if you don’t get enough sleep your brain disappears by completely eating itself?!

I took ambien for 2 weeks and felt like was having a heart attack waking 3 hrs into sleep with racing heart. probably trying to breath. Iive been in hell with this for a yr and scared my brain is damaged. I feel like a nervous breakdown

My built up anxiety has taken me down a similar path. What helps you the most to fall asleep?

One way to look at this is that everone's brain gets permanently damaged regularly but the power of brain to repair itself is pretty good as well. Stop fretting . Fret also harms brain

No your brain is not damaged. Neuroplascticity issues, and behavior affected, yes. Adrenals? Shot. Been there done that. I still get manic and don’t sleep for a week at a time... you will heal. 🙏🏼❤️

If we have insomnie, sometimes severe insomnia, but we do all the good things beside, can we expect not developing dementia or Alzheimer? I mean, is it the most crucial thing that you can do to avoid these diseases?
Thanks a lot for all the informatives videos!!!!
PS. I'm French, so I don't always understand everything that you said in the videos, but I improve with time :)

When the dog barks he has slept well but not so much the neighbors He might be giving them Alzheimer's Disease by keeping them up all night. Let teach the dog some mindful meditation yoga to calm his brain down so he barks only when he wants to gather other dogs to start the dog group mediation session.
