This bench was released more than 10 years ago, I used to have one at least 20 years ago. Bought it at a garage sale and sold it in my own garage sale. I’ve always wanted it back because it’s so good. Recently ordered it from Target and it should be here by November 19th. It’s a great bench for the average bodybuilder. Could be lower to the ground and the angles could be easier to change but I still love this bench! Thanks for the review!
I have the marcy mwb-2001 its for 99%the same bench and i have bought it in 2010 so i use this bench for 13 years now ,and its great and dont break down. I love this bench.

Then I watched the video and I saw U know about Marcy and it's quality, U are aware of the low weight capacities and know what UR doing. Sorry but I was surprised at how many men on youtube I saw saying that Marcy is high quality and U can't go wrong buying Marcy stuff. Nice job Eric. I don't have room for that kind of stop at my place. I ended up getting a flat bench for a bit less than 100 and modular dumbbells for just under 400. That's my home gym as I figure my actual gym will not be open for a long time due to the pandemic.
How do you like the modular dumbbells? I’ve always been interested in them because, even though they are expensive, it still ends up being cheaper than buying a full set of dumbbells. What brand do you have?
@@TechyAgent I got Core Home Fitness, directly from their website not from Amazon. They had a 10%sale on their website. They go from 5-50 in 5 pound increments. The nice thing is that they are proportionally smaller as you go down in the weights. Some of the other competitors have the same footprint in their dumbbells, even at 5 pounds. Core also has a stand which is the 100 more. The modular design saves space of course and is much cheaper than buying individual dumbbells. Review it!

I have experienced some significant long haul effects, unfortunately. My heart rate variability has been lowered (which is a sign of physiological stress), my energy levels have also gone down. These are small signs of diminished heart or lung health. However I do feel like I’m improving daily. But the whole process has taken months, so the full recovery has felt slow.
I do have some small clips of my first fight. I may post it in a future video if that would fun for the subscribers. For what it’s worth, I did win that fight too.
This unit is an evolution from the MP-MNSTR Marcy Monster Platinum by Impex. I have that Monster Platinum in my garage, bought it new in 2005 with a 300lb weight set from Dick Sporting Goods. I can’t find the adjustment / operating manual online, as I have misplaced all the manuals. This video helped me a great deal because I forgot what the adjustment was for under the bench. I have benched 295lbs when I was 280lbs myself, so yes, it can hold 600lbs. However, I have a desk job and gain weight uncontrollably, so full disclosure here, I am 330lbs and bench only 275lbs on my Marcy Monster Platinum bench at the moment. Good thing I saw this video about the 600lbs limit.
Question, when you remove that preacher curl accessory, does the piece that holds it up in place just have a big hole left on the top of it or does this come with some kid of plastic cap to cover up the top? If not, do you know of any good benches like this one that does come with a cover?
@@buzzardscry1383 I do seal rows on my bench, so when I lie down I put my chin on that spot on top of the plastic cap. So if it has a hole I won't be able to do seal rows.
I was thinking of doing seated rows and tying ropes where the handles are. Haven't seen it on RUclips and am wondering if it will even work. Removing the curl foam of course
@@buzzardscry1383 I don't know if that will do. I row quite a lot of weight so my chin gets pushed down hard on the plastic cap. Need a solid base, don't wanna mess up my chin.
Just saw this video but had to tell U, Be Careful if your gonna have men lift on anything Marcy makes. Marcy equipment is made for young beginners and women, seriously tell the men to watch out. Marcy is not good quality stuff, Marcy and Gold's gym equipment just isn't made to handle a moderate amount of weight. A friend had a Marcy bench start to collapse on him when he had 255 lbs. on the bar. This happened after he had it a couple years. Just be careful
