What an excellent match. Windham takes a real beating, but reminded me again how he deserved an NWA championship run sometime between 85 and 87. Brody’s one arm slam and delayed pile driver were awesome.
Barry said that he didn't want the belt because of the responsibilities. He would have been a great champion! He was an excellent wrestler!
LOD warrior Hawk used to mimic that one arm slam ...racist piece of waste ,,,learned he got knocked out stiff by 2 Cold Scorpio and John Parrella ........Brody was huge
Windham was one of, if not the best technical wrestlers in the late 80s early 90s,one of the best ever to strap on boots and step into the square circle!!!
Windham was one of the absolute best workers in the ring. He would have been a great NWA champion if he chose to go that route.
Lovin' Ron Fuller's punches.
ハンセン&ブロディvs ロードウォーリアーズのタッグマッチ観たかったですね!
Wished I could've met Bruiser Brody. He's in my Fire Pro Wrestling video game. Won a few titles in the game with Brody without knowing how cool he was back in the day. Thanks for posting. Cool match.
How is that game?
Fire Pro Wrestling is awesome! A lot of depth, gameplay, match styles, modes of play with over 300 wrestlers, legends, grapplers and mixed-martial artists to choose from. Super sweet "CREATE-A-WRESTLER" mode, too. One of the best wrestling games ever made!
Dream matches galore with the "CREATE A WRESTLER" mode! The cast of Gilligan's Island vs. the cast of Bonanza! George Washington vs. Abe Lincoln in a hardcore steel cage deathmatch! Mahatma Gandi and Martin Luther King, Jr. vs. Gorbachev and Mitch Mcconnel in a Global Peace Street Fight! Ronald McDonald vs. the KFC Colonel in a "LOSER GOES OUT OF BUSINESS" match! ..LOL.. Fire Pro Rocks!
Man it was balls to the wall every time Brody and Hansen wrestled.
Stan didn't look like he ever saw the inside of a gym, but his cardio was insane as was Brodys.
He had a resting heart rate of 47 bpm .... only Flair came close . Mine was low too , 49 bpm thats how I remembered it so well ...but I was 239 lbs not 315 lbs
@@ApothecaryGrant
Yooooo how did you get that info?
@@KoolKumasi I am not sure . I think it was Ted Dibiase that brought it up . Thats a marathon runners heartbeat .
4 of the biggest wrestlers at that time. When the shortest guy is 6'4, you know you're in for a match
Hansen and Brody man what a team
You know the Hansen-Brody team is still a byword for 'the ultimate tag team' in Japan.
I liked them more than the Road Warriors . Also the Funks were good at everything .
Hansen and Brody would of been greatest tag team of all time if that would of been their goal.
Respectfully disagree. I think it could have been.Andre the giant and Haku- AKA Meng!
In '85, Brody rode his Harley up to a bar in Tampa called Tattle Tales with a couple other bikers .. I was bartending .. they were a sight to behold man.. the whole place got quiet, and they had the hot chicks hanging all over 'em .. Brody was kind of quiet, but you knew, don't even think about fucking with him .. and there were some tough hombres in there for real!
Brother, that's a once in a lifetime experience ! Thanks for sharing my man. Damn.......BRODY !!
An alpha male on his Harley.
Great match! Great story told in the ring!
First time I’ve ever seen a squash match in Japan.
I imagine back then as rookie guys getting booked against Hansen and Brody would be your nightmare haha
At this point, neither Barry Windham nor Ron Fuller were rookies. The argument could be made that they were at the peak of their career during this time.
Both veterans got treated like they WERE rookies, though. Hansen and Brody ate them alive, barely giving poor Windham or Fuller the opportunity for any sustained offense. The heroes got only the briefest hope spots like a single move-reversal or a few punches. At times, the match felt like an extended squash. The physical execution of the moves was all great, but I think H&B's unwillingness to bother selling made the match feel less competitive and less interesting. Especially considering how the opponents are more than evenly matched in size, it made no sense for these other giants to be so easily dominated.
Just think how bad they would have treated Barry if they wasn't friends with his dad
Like a jobber.
They pretty much did. They no sell him and beat the piss out of him. Chopped him to shit, Brody looked pretty stiff with that pile driver and the big boot right after
Also, Hansen tossed him on that body slam
😂
they made Barry earn some stripes in this one
No , Barry says they soft shoed him but ate up Robert Fuller for shoot
Still watching Brody and Hansen in 2024...classic
I don't watch wrestling much anymore, but I would have loved to see Brody with the Wyatt family. The guy was great in the ring.
This was The Land of The Giants match !
Brody bruiser was really big guy
I saw Brody and Hansen live in 1984. What a pair of huge badasses.
Still better than the WWE
Taking a poop is better than wwe
@@paulshelly7193 these comments made my day! ive lost hope in modern wrestling fans because all they want is 'FIRE' promos and scripted storylines. I just watch NJPW now (Ive seen Bruiser Brody wrestle live many times back in the early 80s!!)
@@Bigger-Than-Jesus Old school wrestling is all I watch. BRODY, the koloffs, and the classics
That entrance was actually tame for both Brody and Hanson. Brody usually entered the arena swinging a chain and sending people running away from him, and Hanson used to do a similar entrance but with a rope that had a cowbell attached.
Id they came out doin their gimmicks together Hanson would be flossing with Brodys chain while Brody gasped for air trying to pull a noose off his neck 😅
this match was well done!!! Very physical. Stan and Brody are really stiff for most of the match. I would hate to be a rookie tag team and booked against Brody and Hansen as my first ever wrestling match. Talk about a long night. For heels, Brody and Stan got cheered not booed by the crowd. That one armed body slam by brody was impressive!!
Hansen and Brody original badasses
Str8 badasses!
Would have loved to see them against teams like the Road Warriors, Williams and Gordy, and the Steiners. Or even Hall and Nash
Damn! Brody and Hanson absolutely destroyed Windham and Fuller!
The Japanese loved American wrestling, very rare to see Windham take a pounding like this, i mean he's 6'5 260lbs and Brody tosses him around like a rag doll, wish he would have taken a run at the belt in the late 80s early 90s but I've heard he didn't want the responsibility that came with it, regardless, one of the best technical wrestlers EVER to step in the ring.
@Make Me Believe oh yea for sure prob more like 220 or so plus he's still quite young here also, he got lean a few times then put on allot of weight when he did the widowmaker run ( which i hated) before re joining the horsemen in 90, always was a big boy, and my favorite wrestler.
Havent even seen the match yet and im glad I stumbled across this AJ gem
YOUNG Barry
Brody & Hansen refused to sell in this match, frustrating
Many Japanese pro-wresling fans are ready to give their biggest respect to foreign wrestlers, only if they have fought well in Japan, especially against Japanese wrestlers. It wouldn't matter much to the fans whether if they were popular in the US or not. Hansen and Brody are among the ones with a perfect CV, alongside Abdullah the Butcher, Tiger Jeet Singh, Dick Murdoch, Ric Flair, Big Van Vader, Andre the Giant, The Road Warriors, the Funks Brothers and many others.
Hansen & Brody are the greatest tag team of all time, period end of story!!!!!!!!!
Great matchup, but would've been classic if BJ Mulligan was teaming with his son here.
Brody & Hanson were a force to be reckoned with! Hawk said, he & Animal wanted a match against them. Lucky for L.O.D. - Road Warriors that match never happened, and they were spared their shame and pain from a brutal Brody - Hanson beating!!!
Hansenです。スペルを間違わないように。
Not a nice day at the office for Ron and Barry, I’m guessing.
Literally from pillar to post.
Brody was notorious for No selling. Ran out of many territories for not getting along with management, many say That May have led to his terrible death in Puerto Rico in 88. Money disputes and no selling for Invader. Jose Gonzalez. Gonzalez was acquitted of Brody’s murder. For the no selling Brody was 6’7 300 and Gonzalez was 5’8 220
gonzales was acquitted because Tony Atlas, the only other American in the locker room at the time, was told he would suffer the same fate if he came back to testify.
Tallest guy in the ring gets his keister kicked the whole match ....Hansen and Brody took it easy on Bob Windham's boy so someone had to pay .
😆😆😆
I never knew that David Letterman moonlighted as a wrestler. @1:10 The guy on the right looks just like him from the neck up. Lol RIP Bruiser Brody Gone way to soon, but not forgotten. 👍
David Letterman 😂😂😂
超ミラクル野獣コンビ。当時そういわれていた
Brody and Hansen ruled the roost in Japan. You played by their rules if you knew what was good for you.
So much athleticism in one in ring.
Big Ron looked just as stiff as Hansen and Brody
Ron just discussed this match on his podcast recently. Pretty much he was saying you had to be as stiff with them or they would eat you alive. They were good friends and Ron and Stan remain good friends to this day. Ron has had Stan on his paid content portion of the Studcast, great stuff. I always appreciated the way Ron worked in the ring, stiff as hell but could take it to the mat hold for hold with the best of them. He could work "small" if need be, or with the big guys, like himself. Of course the other 3 go without saying as well, 4 great ones right here in one match
How was Hansen so big with a superior cardio to any wrestler and at the same time didn't look like he lifted weights.......? Its Nuts
Windham bounced like a super ball. Either he sold like a champ or legit got his butt kicked.
Well the way Barry's chest was glowing like the red light district, I'd say a little of both.
In an interview, he said they beat the dog $h!t out of him in that match. ruclips.net/video/EIwNgNdRJys/видео.html
Brody beat the shit out of them.
I’m sorry, but you couldn’t pay me enough money to get in the ring and take an ass kicking from King Kong Brody and Stan “The Lariat “ Hansen!!!
this was when wrestling was the best! you didnt have scripted storylines and elaborate promos and segways like the sprots entertainment it has become. Wrestling didnt have writers back then. Storylines Aint Wrestling!!!
In 1979, a new pro wrestling publication hit newsstands and magazine racks across the nation. It was Pro Wrestling Illustrated. When the first issue went to press, Ron Fuller was ranked at #10 in the National Wrestling Alliance.
He was and is, the Tennessee Stud
Damn brody's was rough
Hansen was worse cuz he was blind a bat
ブロディは試合前にすでに流血? これがアウトロー最強レスラーだったんだと。
Just look at the way Brody & Hansen worked that match...that is "proper wrestling" in my book. If only you could teleport these 2 to the WWE today. They'd destroy everyone. The same is true for Barry Windham & Ron Fuller. Nobody would be talking about "KofiMania", and Daniel Bryan would be the jabroni carrying their bags to the locker room.
This is wrestling! WWE is trash!
Holy truth Batman...
FACTS!
The young guys need to watch this.
This is how you work
Good solid match .
10:12 face down a** up in a match is usually not recommended for male wrestlers......but all jokes aside Brody, Hansen and Windham all legends.
Ron Fuller shouldn't be overlooked. He comes from an incredible wrestling pedigree and I believe was considered for the NWA championship.
I wish Barry worked Japan more often back in the day.
バリーウィンダムのレスリングstyleはアメリカ向きで日本的ではない?
could have sold that clothesline better for sure lol
Hanson and Brody vs the lod! Who wins?
ロン・フラーはプロレス界の名門一家だよな、身長も2メートル前後本当にあるし。ウインダムとブロディが同じくらいの身長。父親のマリガンはブロディよりも大きかった。
Holy cow, I'll bet Ron Fuller got an ear full after kicking out of the Lariat just a hair after the 3 count!! A win is a win, but that Lariat was protected!!
Ron was a 10 year vet, a third generation wrestler and owned his own territory at the time. I’ll bet both Stan and Brody worked for him at some point. He did the favors and kept a little for himself.
I’ll bet nobody said a word about it.
there was no kickout
@@itsterrific that's right he's part of the Welsh family and his grandfather started and ran the biggest single territory in the history of the US.. Ron and Robert were respected guys and have been around since 69 at this point, but I will say Barry looks really young LOL
I'd also like to add that Ron Fuller was a legit shooter as he was trained in the world famous Snake Pit. So to nitpick him over something minor in a match would have been hazardous to your health.
Hansen and Brody..... Business is Business......and pain,Mayhem woohoo ‼️💥‼️💥‼️💯
real wrestlers.
The bad man from Borger Texas & the violent storm from New Mexico!!
11:03~ ハンセン、何って言ってるんだろう? What is Hansen saying?
No match to the big boys nice thanks for posting
When was this barry wrestled like and begginer.
tigerconway Windham was in his 3rd year. He had this tour while he was becoming a main guy in Florida. This was good for building him up as the young kid who'd fight anybody.
This match was in 1983.
This is a match of very tall men
Seriously was this the same barry from thw USA. MAN they got there butt kick
Against Brody and Hansen? In Japan? Everybody got their butt kicked by those two in Japan!
Am I correct to assume that Hansen and Brody were friends in real life?
Brody and Hansen were awesome. Too bad they never took their act to the U.S.
The bad man from Borger Texas!!
The bad man from Borger Texas& the insane violence from New Mexico!!
4 big guys who could work
画質がとても良い。
Brody and Hansen were great but i could see they didnt like to sell in most of their matches especially to Barry Windham and Fuller it was a one sided match too bad
Fuller was only 33
Windham and Fuller looked like jobbers here. Windham bumped and sold like a champ.
With the exception of the the Undertaker, I hate guys who don't sell. I mean I know Brody and Hansen were mainstays at this point while the other two were just passing through, but come on
Exactly. I feel that they cut off the babyface fire too much.
@@shaolin1derpalm they did. Now I get it that it was part of a tournament which those matches usually suck because they're rushing to fit everything in anyway, but I'm sure that's not the reason why there was no fire from the babyfaces here. Just Brody and Hansen being...well Brody and Hansen. They did the same thing to Steamboat and Youngblood.
also Windham and Fuller were just a throw-together tag team. probably was their only match tohether.
Hansen’s mad because someone stole his chaw bakker!
Didn't know Fuller had a Dory Funk jr hairline. he must of gotten hair transplant later on.
If my transplant you mean a rug than yes, he got a transplant.
Ron STILL get's a lot pussy today
@@Saber808 The Tennessee Stud.
But that never stop Ron Fuller. Getting a ton of rats a day.
Controversial opinion....I always dislike how little Brady sells, opponents get sweet fuck all offensive in against him, in every match
wow what was ron fuller around 6-10
kenny carlson 6'9" approximately
i was outside the tv studio (wbir) here in Knoxville one saturday morning and watched a Corvette pull up. wondering who it was (and if we could get autographs) we walked closer and watched Ron Fuller unfold out of it. he could barely get out. funny stuff.
フラーがデカすぎてラリアートがきれいに決まらなかった。
That's not ron fuller. That's colonel Parker from wcw.
snoxbox Colonel Parker was Ron’s Brother Rob. His Cousin Jimmy was Bunkhouse Buck. This was probably Rob, cause he appears to be shorter than Brody and Barry. Ron was 6’9 and Rob only 6’5
@@josephwiggins642 that was Ron, Robert would have a full head of hair years later. Ron always looked older than he was.
Why does Japan only have one referee????????
Uh yeah......that's the usual mode of operandi. One ref.
What are you smokin? 😄
@John Doe calm down dude geesh. I thought he was referring to having more than one ref in a match. I noticed you also asked him" WTF are you talking about" also. Lighten up....its wrestling
I'm there in the background.
no your not.
Barry Windham got beaten up.
完全な出来レース。ハンセン、ブロディの勝ちが本線。
Japanese really enjoyed wrestling 🤼♂️ more than Americans

iv only heard of ron fuller never watched any of his matches. hes goofy as fuck cant even run the ropes. doesnt look like he has 1 athletic bone in his body...
You better look the history of the fuller family up the family has been in the wrestling business for over 100 years Ron fuller was champion in many territories back in the late 60,s and 70,s his brother also was a great wrestler Robert Fuller also known as colonel Parker or Tennessee Lee and the Tennessee stud there father buddy fuller and there grandfather and great grandfather were also wrestling champions and there cousin Jimmy golden also known as bunk house buck
