The Nytro XTX is the best sled I've ever owned and ridden, and I've owned and driven dozens of sleds from each OEM over the past 30 years. Great 4 stroke power in a very nice, dependable package that will get you to where you want to go and most importantly, get you home.
Blue Rage, noted. However I have owned 3 different Nytros beginning with the 2008 RTX and lastly the 2014 XTX, logged in excess of 30,000 miles amongst the three and never experienced said issue.
What i like with nytro is you are not slowing down your friend on long ride with strap change or chaincase blowing ...i was arctic cat sold before but now Yamaha is just trouble less and i have kid so cannot pass all my time on repair my sled!! happy new years !!
And I'd rather spend a few minutes getting it unstuck than spending an entire weekend getting a poorly-built Polaris fixed. Your choice (hopefully I've made your comment sound ridiculous).
hmm, some constructive feedback on the video, I wanted to see b-roll of the ski's, especially the bottom of the ski's design while you were talking about it. Also, on the carbide front, it would be a great idea if you were to do a segment on the different carbide setups for this ski, what's available, what each setup looks like and what it is aimed at. Cheers!
@@jacobconklin4418 what did you replace it with? Ive got two apex and a phazer, thinking of adding a nytro... going to have another new rider soon that will inherit the phazer... gotta make a shuffle, and i've heard the nytro may be better than a viper!
You realize that they're different sleds, right? I mean an 800 2-stroke vs. a "600" 4-stroke. I can understand opinions only if the person has taken the time to ride each sled. Just saying it's a pig makes you look like a huge tool.
Somebody please explain to me why yamaha does so amazing in the snowmobile buisness and in the marine buisness and have the most powerful production motorcycle in thevworld (v-max) but they are soooooo far behind in the side by side and atv buisness. I mean come on. Yeah the new viking is neat and kinda powerful but we want puresport. yamaha comeon make a vmax atv and side by side we want power and performance. Not rediculously wide and kinda powerful side by sides.
Yamaha doing well in the snowmobile business? I don't think so. They're way too heavy, they're slow, they can't turn worth a damn, and their suspensions set up is extremely outdated, and rides harsh as hell compared to other sleds.
BloodstainedSinner Slow?? I would hardly call them slow, and although not as light as two-strokes they are comparable to any of the other brands fourstrokes.
jessie bruno A 600lb dry weight is extremely heavy. Polaris' 750 FST was a 750cc Four Stroke Turbo (F. S .T) in the IQ chassis, and weighed no more than 515lbs dry weight. That aside, even Yamaha's 2 strokes are 60+ lbs heavier than other 2 stroke sleds. Not to mention, Yamaha's are over priced. $9,000 for the base-model, 500cc Phazer? What a rip off. You could buy a brand new Indy 600 144" for less than that, and it'll still weigh less and make more power.
Got stuck so much on my Nytro... It's just too front heavy, rear light. Got stuck on the asphalt at a road crossing as well. Not cool as you pull onto the road and expect it to move as cars are coming. Sold it. Badly designed sled.
Bigpaw Mountain I doubt that. All the mass is forward, with a heavy four stroke engine. It's not a balanced machine. RUclips search "Nytro Stuck" and you'll see some good entertainment. I got stuck on asphalt crossing a highway here in Ontario... with cars bearing down on me. Maybe the MTX version of this sled is better in its environment, but all I've heard is complaints. It's not balanced properly.

and i dont feel Yamaha so heavy maybe some people are built cheap like there sled!!
TheMiketully You know Yamaha uses arctic cat chassis right?
bb4jdmlude incorrect. unless your refering to the viper? which is not even 100% AC yamaha improves and makes changes to the chasis

In the 90’s there where no adjustable shocks and everyone did fine
Did SnowTrax do a RTX review for 2013?
buddy i suggest you look at a Yamaha nytro >MTX
ooooohh new skis yayyyy
Oot and abooot on a Yeemaha? Must be Canadian.
i ride a Yamaha but they do need some ragging on for some new innovation in there sleds!!

@@666dynomax 800 assault, assault wins off trail with the fun factor, but the nytro flys even over the roughest trails
Just buy the skis and put them on your current sled and you got yourself a 13

I kinda agree but they were the first ones to put powersteering on their atvs
dude being the "first one" just doesn't cut it anymore and it is too bad because yamaha has sooo much potential

Did this guy put makeup on a zit on the left side of his face? I can't even pay attention to what he is saying. I just keep staring at it....

m Robs I went backwards in time. 2003 Mach Z. Sledding might be the only sport where older is better :)
You might want to give much consideration to attending a riding class if you are getting stuck anywhere with this machine.

Blue Rage , I have a nytro and hasn't gotten stuck in 4 years
Nathan Dryer well you don't ride it hard enough
If you don't like this sled then move on!!
CHINSTRAP
Polaris do not know how to build an engine.
kallestrand86 now they do
Polaris and ski-doo are so much better than this tank
Good one lmao
i prefer yamahas for the 4 stroke engines
In what aspect???
