when i was like 15/16 years old i had a sim on sims 3 named hamish who was "the prettiest" of his siblings and when he grew up i wanted to see how many kids one sim could have before the game stopped me. he ended up having four kids with his wife and 27 others with townies and when his oldest son got married hamish went and got his sons wife pregnant with baby 32 before the game forced hamish and his wife to "move to a new town". literally all of pleasantview was just offspring of this one man.

My first save was full of Marvel characters in some weird alternate universe where EVERYONE is related to each other. There was a ton of gender bending and a lot of hidden jokes in the names and builds that would only make sense if you've spent an embarrassing amount of time reading obscure trivia on the Marvel wiki. I also used the tallest wall height for every build...

i played sims 4 on my niece’s pc and laptop (they were connected to each other) but her laptop got infected by a trojan and got corrupted so they had to delete everything that was saved like images but not any game files or stuff like that. it was so sad since we’ve had those sims since around early 2016.
The last time I was this early Kayla was 12 and making Mostly Ghostly.

I had a sims 3 family back when I was maybe 14 or 15? (I’m the same age as lilsimsie) and basically the main family I played with was a family with like 4 boys (not on purpose lol) and the middle son was in love with their next door neighbors daughter and they grew up together and started dating as teens. They got caught sneaking out after curfew... went to prom... etc. Totally high school sweethearts. Then when they aged into you g adults they got married and had their own daughter. I was SOO obsessed with them lol

dylan Kirkland I feel like the counters in Sims 4 looks like "only kitchen" counters. My bathroom cabinets looks totally different than what goes in the kitchen. That's why I don't use them🙈 I put shelves instead, and add stuff I want on them🙈

From what I gathered from a different comment, apparently people were harassing her on Tumblr/Twitter regarding a suitor for someone in the Huntley family, so she eventually stopped playing with them. Which, is understandable. I imagine it's difficult to keep loving something when you get constant harassment for it.

Oh when I watched this video, I remembered my humble sim, Jose. He was a room designer, very successful in his career but not so much in his private life. He divorced his husband because hubby cheated on him. Few boyfriends didn't work out. But he was sweet and so cute. It was 7-8 years ago and when I say out loud to myself that I play sims for about 17 years, it's crazy. Oh god, I am old. 🙏🙄
it physically pained me every time she said a build was bad because everything was better than what i can build
1) I just had this realization of how long i've been following you because I remember the Steele's so vividly, i hadn't realized it had been so long!
2) My first save file was basically a self insert and I didn't know you could make more than one so I just had her and her growing amount of children act out any drama I wanted all in the same world. There was an asylum, she was practically immortal, several of her kids were crime lords and her house was a giant box i was very proud of. You couldn't go to any lot in that world and not run into a member of that og family, and they hold a very special place in my sims memories.

My oldest save is where I made my sim self (looked nothing like me and looked hideous). Literally everyone was either super scrawny, super buff, or super fat. No in between. I ended up having a whole family of 8, with opposite twin teen boys, a teen girl, an alien daughter, another alien, but this time a son, and then I made a grandparent and moved her in. Brings back nice memories, but a lot of cringe.

I had the BEST legacy family. Then by the fourth or something generation it started to get boring so I killed a bunch of them off and made everyone cheat on each other until I ruined it...

This reminds me of old times. I had The Sims 1 with 3 expansions I think, and I absolutely loved it. I used to play with my older sister and we mainly did building stuff. Which was very, very bad. I remember bulldozing the giant community lots to make an enormous mansion which was basically a giant cube with lots of useless rooms. I strongly remember those weird and expensive things that literally had no sense existing, like the giant fish tank in which you could swim...never had any interesting storylines actually, I think I just played the same family over and over again.
I was so happy to discover all the new things you can do in the sims 4, I'm right now doing a legacy challenge and having more fun than ever! Currently on my 3rd gen ;)
wow, this video brings back a lot of memories! i watched you ALL the time when i was like 14/15 when i was obsessed with the sims and it's feels so weird seeing these sims again! i stopped watching all sims youtubers cause i stopped playing the sims for a bit. now i'm 19 and i've become obsessed with the sims again lol, and i'm back and binge watching all your vids and streams

For me, I used to build these huge families and I would adopt a lot. I remember back in 2nd grade, I had an adopted daughter who I think was named Olivia. At like 2am, there was a house fire and she died right as the firefighters showed up and put out the fire. This was also Sims 3 and it saved automatically. Cried my eyes out, begged, pleaded, visited her grave, mourned her, and then decided enough was enough and didn't play Sims for like 4 years. Never did go back to Sims 3--
i never realised how long i've been watching lilsimsie and i'm kinda getting emotional..
On the oldest sims file I remember playing on (I deleted it so I can’t play on it again) I took a cute girl sim off the gallery and edited it how I wanted. Then I made Casandra Goth age up into a young adult and I built a romantic relationship between the two. I had them move in together, then I put my Sim in the Goth household and moved everyone else (including Cassandra) into my house. I had all their money and their house. I was too lazy to play the game like a normal person, and I mostly just drowned everyone :

Oh my god... so one of your sims has my name and spells it exactly how i spell it and it is so important to me specifically because my name is EXTREMELY rare. I have never ever seen my name on the internet, in books, or anywhere but a celebrity does have my name as their last name! This is so important to me T-T

@@mommy_milkers4207 Starbucks is believed to spell names wrong so that people will upload their cups ( with the Starbucks logo on the cup ) to social media showing how bizarrely their names are miss pelt. As a result they get free advertising, so I wouldn't be bummed. Besides, at least you still got your order(s) :D.

My favorite thing to do when I was a teenager playing the sims was to make sims that looked like my favorite TV characters and play "OTP shipping puppet show" with them. I did learn how to use infinite household space mods for ts3 and spend a solid week making a big apartment complex that I then shoved like 30 sims into. And the sheer amount of CAS cc i used!! My dad's old computer was constantly gasping for death when I used it...
Four years ago, I couldn't make small houses, I always started with one big box, like... Big. I always had big unused spaces.

I have a sims 3 save file from like 9 years ago. I recently found it at the very bottom of my rubbish bin because I never delete it, so I loaded it back into my game. Oh my god- The family tree had like 500 generations and it was when I didn't know that CC existed. Lmao it was horrible, I had to delete it again. I see why I abandoned it 😂.

I remember when I used to name all of my kids "Kindness" and "Sydney" and for some reason I never had any boys and once I tried building a house for this family with twins but I put too much attention and money into the kitchen and pool that there was no bathroom and the beds were just in the middle of an empty space and everyone peed themselves and had no way to clean. Ahh yes, those days when I was 12 and dumb.
i started playing sims 4 in 2018-2019 with GO to work AND i didn't know that sims has such a interesting and weard parts but in all this years this game becomes the only thung that keeps me alive

Hi Kayla. My daughter talks about you a lot and I was wondering whether to give her an expansion pack, a stuff pack, or a game pack. She loves the Sims 4 and I wanted to give her something related to it for Christmas. Have a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday.
I know expansion packs are the most expensive but they also have the most content so I think that would be better but I'm sure she would be happy with any.
Has she got any packs at the moment?
Kayla has made a video where she ranked all the sims 4 packs. A few are missing because the video is a little old, but it should still help you a bit.
You can bundle them together and usually they discount the bundle,so it comes to be as much as an expansion pack alone would be. For which one would be best it depends on your daughter’s taste.
There’s a lot of good sales on origin during Black Friday (I *think* it already started), but I would suggest expansion packs because you get the most bang for your buck. More game play, items, everything. Seasons expansion is a must, but it doesn’t come with a new world so pair it up with another expansion would be my suggestion.
Jason Sampson seasons and pets are always good starters if she doesn’t have them yet

My very first Sims 4 starter sim, made during the height of my Tumblr years, vaguely resembled Spain from Hetalia. I thought, hey, that’s pretty neat, and played him with that in the back of my mind. He eventually became more and more flanderized, and I gave him a wife in the form of a female South Italy. Then I just had to create North Italy as well, then Germany and Japan, and then I had to create all the Asian countries, which I couldn’t do in good faith without the Slavic countries, while at the same time I had to have the FACE household...until I had basically recreated all of Hetalia in my Sims world. It was chaotic, extremely buggy, and full of horrible Alpha CC. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

My very first Sims file was a crazy family tree mess. I wanted to keep my files clean, so my character ended up having great great great great grandchildren. It was very confusing because for example, my daughter married a guy, that guy had parents and 2 sisters. His 2 sisters married men, and both those men had siblings, who married and had kids, and their kids married people with siblings, etc. So they weren't even related to the heir. It ended up being my heir's son's daughter's husband's brother's wife's brother's wife's sister's daughter's step-son.
I started watching in 2016/2017ish and this is a flash to the past bro. the DELIGRACY BUILD??? I remember it. And the townhouses were all over my yt reccomended lmao

I remember my first Sims game.
It was a Sims 3 game, with a single white ginger haired woman who wore a purple shirt for her usual outfit, and I think white pants? All I remember is that she lived in Sunset Valley, adopted a child, but then she couldn't manage both her job and her child, so the child got taken away and she got depressed as all hell. Then I abandoned ship and started a new save file.

So, two years late, but the thumbnail on mobile has a fun glitch-thing. The hair jiggles when you scroll up and down and it's making my day.

My first save I was like 10, sims 4 had just come out and my older sister got it for Christmas and she let me play with it. I "made" sims that were supposed to be the my little pony girls (literally just used one of the base faces for all of them) and flutter shy died of embarrassment and I was so upset I didn't save that I cried for like an hour. Good times

I have a story: I only had island living and perfect patio for my sim. Her name was Belle Bunny and i thought she was the prettiest sim in the worm but she was like pulled out her waist with a weird pink jacket. She sounded like a scratchy, dying, teenage boy. She had such a weird sleepwear too. So their was a random sim named Hugh, and Belle was in love with him. She went on like 40 dates and never ever kissed. Cause, sense they had such bad dates Hugh, whenever Belle tries to flirt he was all ew. So when it was Belles adulthood birthday party we adopted a kid named Lilly. Belle was still attracted to Hugh but Hugh hated it. Once on a date at the nightclub she sow Hugh flirting with Summer (Belles best friend) in front of Belles face. Cause all the girls in town were so attracted to Hugh. Belle dropped Hugh and went over to the only persom crushing on her, who once flirted with her at a house party. We adopted a cat named Toothless (After how to train your dragon) they then got married to Bryan (The guy crushing on Belle) And then moved to a a apartment. They had their dear baby Mariam and Belle got into piano (This took me the whole video lol)
When I started playing the Sims I was an idiot because I when I saw my Sims almost age up I stopped playing because I didn't want them to.... lol

It's weird thinking back to the early days of sims 4, because I was playing back before there were pools and I remember counting down to them and also the first expansion pack. I still remember my first family and me trying to drown my sims father after he became old. I was in 4th grade when Sims 4 came out lol, now I'm jr. and just started playing again recently and was blown away by the fact that there were toddlers.
Let me share a story, I had just gotten city living and I made a sims live in there, a new legacy ( all my saves end up in legacies, it's a problem) and she was a successful hacker. At some point when she was adult she got turned into a vampire (I don't exactly remember how or why) and she died at the bottom of her apartment building because she burned to death. So her daughter had her ashes at the house, in the vampire urn. Her daughter wasn't a vampire, by the way.
My first ever family was called the Cadbury’s 😂

I remember my first Sims Save file (Like a year or two ago). My mom made a sim and gave it to me. SHe was getting hungry so I told her to cook food. She caught on fire and died. Then mom fixed it and I got my sim back. SHe adopted a baby went on a vacation with the now toddler version and Social Services took her away. I also remember trying to get with Johnny Zest. Sadly, I've lost that save file.

When I was younger me and my brother used to have a shared the sims 3 account and my brother made this mother and daughter and I used to make the daughter stay out late and the police used to bring her home and my brother used to get so mad but I just kept on doing it and one time the mother was cooking while the daughter was out she went to go like scream at her child and there house burnt down so umm don’t make your sims 3 teens stay out or your house will burn down

With two ovens, two Sims can cook at the same time. Twice as much food that can spoil.
I don't like having counter space in the bath room. When I have, my Sims always insist to prepare food there instead of in the actual kitchen. EVEN is the toilet in on another floor and so far that they take about a real time minute to travel from the kitchen to the toilet and another going back.
My first Sim save has a dude named Dirk who married a townie called Renee and I kept forgetting to have them get married until they had two toddlers and a house they couldn't afford, and so they eloped in the hallway. Romantic.
But I consider my first family to be the Stuarts, which I played in The Sims 2. They had a whole thing going on.

i would KILL to have my old sims 1 and 3 save files. my sims 1 castle where everyone was miserable because it was sims 1. my sims 3 save where it was just me and i maxed out every skill and got every collectable and for some reason my house was like 70 percent basement with hidden doors.
