    --------------------------
    My Yamaha FZ1 is a very smooth running bike. But even so, after a while a buzz started to creep in during riding. Among other reasons, this could easily be caused by the throttle bodies being out of synchronisation. That's where the Healtech eSync digital throttle synchronisation tool comes in!
    Kindly provided to me free of charge by Healtech, this clever little gadget plugs into your bikes throttle bodies and provides realtime readouts of what your bike's throttle bodies are doing, on your PC screen!! How cool is THAT!? With the free PC software, you can see exactly how all of the cylinders are performing and precisely balance the amount of air that the throttle bodies are drawing in and perfectly balance your bike back to smooth running again!
    Watch here as I install the eSync tool on my Yamaha FZ1-N, balance my throttle bodies and show a few of the extra features that this clever little box of tricks has up it's sleeve.
    More info and pricing is available at: www.healtech-electronics.com/est

    Nice video, I did find interesting that you didnt check "Zero" on the vacuum channels by hooking all 4 "pipes" to the same throttle body to see that all 4 channels read the same. I guess that's what we did in the old days of carb syncing. I guess the digital world is that much better.

    I am interested in getting this tool so this video was very helpful, thank you! Currently, I have the CarbTune tool which is analog, would you say this'd be worth getting since I already have an analog tool and this is not exactly cheap? What I like about this tool is, according to its vendor's claim, it actually detects valve clearance problems, too.

    • @AndyManCam
      @AndyManCam  4 года назад

      I would say that this is definitely a lot easier to read than the carbtune. As to whether or not it's worth it when you have a carbtune already, or if the balance will be better, hard to say. DOwn to your personal preference i suppose. I personally enjoy the fact that you can compare before and after, and also actually record your balancing session. The valve clearance checking ability is still in the pipeline, but I will be very keen to see how that pans out.

    Love your videos Andy, they have guided me through lots of mods on the FZ1..Why remove the tube from bottom of the map sensor and block it off? No mention of that or AIS in manual? (my AIS is gone so that's not an issue..)

    • @AndyManCam
      @AndyManCam  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks mate! I’m not entirely sure. I think it’s about avoiding any possible fluctuations or interference from the sensor from interfering with either the readings or the running of the engine. Ultimately, Healtech know better than i do , so i just went with what they say!

    • @AndyManCam
      @AndyManCam  4 года назад +1

      I'm not so sure I agree. The interfacing with IOS would be a nightmare because of the continuing Dongle struggle! Plus it's not Android compatible either. For the intended use, I think most small garages and workshops will be using PC based systems. This is primarily a professional tool, so using time and money to develop mobile device compatibility (not to mention the licensing costs of getting MFI certification) would be wasted resources versus the market for which the tool is designed. I also try as hard as possible to keep my expensive and fragile Apple devices well away from my workshop!! 😂

    289,00 EUR current prize for this tool is too high. If you are IT guy then you can build you own cheaper version of this tool (4 map sensors + arduino mini). This will cost you maximum 3 eur (arduino) + 20 * 4 ( a new map sensors), so 83 euro. And you can have it even cheaper if you use a used sensors. BTW already custom made tools you can buy on ebay...

    • @AndyManCam
      @AndyManCam  3 года назад

      How much does an IT guy earn in a day? If he has to spend 2 days building this, instead of working, then that’s how much it ultimately costs. Great if you can do it. But I’d also have to first learn all of the skills needed. Probably going to take me weeks, maybe months, possibly years. So how much does the DIY version cost now?
