Here's another killer DM album I found just the other day, ever hear of the band English "Strigoi" and their brand LP "Viscera". That's out on Seasons of Mist Records, this should appeal to Incantation fans, as there is a palpable doom element in their sound. In 30 years of cranking Metal, to my these "Viscera" has some of the best production I've yet heard, very dark, crushingly heavy tones, audible bass guitar/base notes and the drums are punchy as hell, but at the same time have a very deep pitch. The capping touch is the fact that it was mixed by Kurt Ballou, one the best producers currently going, if you've heard the last 2 High On Fire albums you've heard his work. The band didn't ship their tapes across the Atlantic because they thought he sucked. *Viscera* is fucking stellar. \m/

Perchance have you heard the "Ultimate Edition" of Altars of Madness? That 2 disc digipak put out a couple years ago. On that reissue the mastering is the best it's ever been, Altars packs more bite than ever. Fucking Devastating. \m/

@@harryquinn493 well at least you got the cover that you wanted👍 i doubt it's mastering is the equal to whats heard on the ult ed, but then again i never owned that reissue you have. that being said the ult ed comes with the exact same dvd, ma live in england (nottingham?) november (?) 1989 with digital mastering newer is almost always better (but human error is always a possibility), as technology improves with time. the 1st pressing of altars sounds very dull and inarticulate compared to the newer pressings. altars of madness is a spare no expense album for me. have you heard the 2010 reissue of cowboys from hell, that's a tale where mastering goes disastrously wrong. an abomination. howie weinberg was told to master it that way, cowboys is not "loud enough" for modern tastes, dime has to be rolling in his grave on that one.....

I will tell you I love Terry Dates remaster of Reinventing the Steel, brought new life to a 10/10 album, much more punchier.

Fellow metalist, if you're going to hang a poster out of a release, whether it be from a CD, vinyl, etc, buy a poster frame and hang it up that way. Fellow metalist, if you're going to hang a poster out of a release, whether it be from a CD, vinyl, etc, buy a poster frame and hang it up that way. You'll preserve it nicely, and you won't put holes in it. It'll look way better in a frame too. Take my advice now and thank me later.

And a couple others. I like it. I toss it on every couple months. No they don’t do ROOOOOOOOOOTS BLOODY ROOOOOOOTS Shockingly they did Beneath The Remains.
