Glen said on the Garza podcast he listens to 70s rock oppose to death metal than here he says he listens to George Carlin and numetal oppose to death metal on his own time. It feels like he just throwing random names of celebrities and music genres. Not sure, if he just trolling or serious.
Glen never ducked him. Wasn't feeling well.
This is probably the best GB interview I’ve ever seen congrats dawg.
Met and even partied with Glen several times in the late 90s and early 2000s, every time was never a bad experience, always very nice dude and always had some good laughs.

at approximately 9:50: i have a kinda funny story about this sorta situation:
2002(?) Glen's at the bar, i come up to him, introduce myself, shook his hand, let him know he is a huge personal vocal influence and how much i appreciated his dedication. things were going SO GOOD until this crop of teenagers saw him. "Mr Benton! Mr Benton! GLEN! GLEN BENTON! HEY! GLEN! HEEEY GLEEEN!!!!!!" it was probably 7 or 8 of em, getting all up in his personal space, shoving ticket stubs and markers in his face.
He groans, loudly. "UUUUuUUUUuuUUUuuUUUUUUUGH!!!!", grabs one of the markers and starts walking past the group of kids, throws the marker ALL THE WAY across the venue and i didn't see him again until he was on stage.

In the 90's, we used to go party over our buddy's house in Cleveland (it didn't have working heat) but had a loud stereo and it was always Deicide, Unleashed, Entombed, Obituary, Carnage, Grave, Death, Cannibal Corpse. I heard that Bob Larson show when he called in and lightning hit it.
The stuff about Glen meeting Euronymous. Always wondered if Glen was in contact with American black metal pioneers, Von from SF. Some of Von's riffs were very Deicide sounding, but they also opened for Cannibal Corpse.

I saw them sometime in the 90's, and someone in the crowd yelled out that they wanted to hear They Are the Children of the Underworld. Glen said something like, okay, but we haven't rehearsed that. Then they demonstrated such by having to start over before playing it all the way through. I just thought that was really cool that they did that.
