Yours was the third video I watched. The other two had them releasing the away bar links. When I saw yours it made sense not to. Simple, and to the the pount... thanks.

hello great video, im about to install a leveling kit and its my fist time, just wondering if its the same process and i was also wondering if this one had a leveling kit? i thought i saw a spacer?
just did my 05' qx56 and boy did this video help. I even bought my quick fit struts from 1a auto..Only problem I had was that my lower arm was putting pressure on the strut and I caught pure hell getting it out. It was a circus show. One question though....My car now sits up high in the front and my rear is at the level I like. Is there any way to bring it back down level with the back??
It could be because the rear shocks are worn too, and the vehicle is sitting lower in the rear than when it was new. Thank you for your order, hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Excellent video. Just replaced the struts in my 05 Titan and the video was spot on. Had a little difficulty getting the old ones out (stabilizer bar was in the way) but was able to lightly pry them out. Replacement was a snap. Thanks 1aauto.
Very good instructional clip. Just purchases both Front Struts and Rear Shocks for my Nissan Pathfinder. Question is, does this video also apply to the 2005 Pathfinder [... and later] models as well?
I see you have a lift on that truck. Can you still slide the old shock and strut out on a stock height Titan? Looks like you should replace that outer tie rod while you're there ;)
Really nice video. I need to do my shocks too, so I just went on your website and there are no suspension components, other than control arms, in your steering and suspension menu.
Good info but I have a question. I have an 06 Titan SE with Off Road Pkg. Why are some people calling these struts and some dealers call them coilover shocks. They called the ones on my 98 Tacoma coilovers also.
I saved my self 300 buying the whole suspension kit from 1a auto cause autozone tried get me for the whole 800plus and there delivery service is fast coming from an Amazon driver

I got a 2006 Nissan Titan se. I’m looking for the two front coil over suspensions. I’m not lowering it just replacing the old one. Nothing fancy just reliable. Any suggestions. Post a link. Thanks
+Kameleon Kreations Here is a link to them replacement shock and struts that we carry for your application. There are also auto repair videos associated with them. Hope this helps you out. www.1aauto.com/2006-nissan-titan-shocks-and-struts/y-mo-c/2006-1075-64?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&
It’s aligned from the factory with the same struts as were put back in unless you level it.. unless you changed any others parts that could change the camber caster or toe.. this strut should do non of this but provide a better ride quality I don’t think it’s necessary if it’s the only part changed at the time
1A Auto Parts However most say it’s not necessary. I’ll let you know as I am in the process of replacing mine as I type. But this guy is the expert. Either way I’ll be getting my alignment checked.
A bit of important info that is missing ....The sway bar link is right in the way (at least on a 2008 Titan Pro 4 X ) The only way to remove ....and even more difficult, re install is to take the links off. Use a knuckle on the 14mm inside, top bolt as it is tilted toward the engine just enough that it can be rounded off very easy (trust me) Best way is with a long extension and loosen those two from inside the hood, plenty of room
+Bob Martens Thank you for checking us out, and providing this information for your vehicle. Our viewers that attempt this replacement on the 08 Titan Pro 4x will use this to complete the replacement. 1aauto.com
I re-used my springs to get the same ride height. that takes added time and saves quiet a bit of money. if you have time as I did re-use the springs. careful with those spring compressors. they can kill you.
I wouldn't hammer the shocks... I would press down the lower control arm and push the shocks in. If you really need to use a hammer, I would use some plastic/ rubber type hammer
+Matthew Pohl At around 2:25 we show how to slip the old strut out so that you can replace it with a new one. We were able to sneak the old strut out through the top of the suspension. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
+Edgar Vazquez We carry a huge selection of upper control arms on our website. If you would like to reply back with your year make and model we can reply back with a link to them on our website if you would like. Have a great day!1aauto.com
+Lee Moses Thanks for watching! The new part is just an improved design which helps keep the vehicle from sagging over time. It will still fit and function just like the originals! 1aauto.com
+Jared Welch Our parts are all built to the same specifications as the dealership unless otherwise listed. These struts would not be able to work for vehicles with a lift kit.
+Mjurado j It may be a different procedure that the one shown in this video. We do carry the replacement front struts for your vehicle. Here is a link to them on our website. Hope this helps you out goo.gl/yDxrxS

Best repair videos hands down.
Thanks for posting up the video. Especially letting us know the torque values for the nuts for the install of the new strut packs.

Great instructions. I was about to pay a stealership to perform this swap.

You’re welcome. Glad to hear your repair went well 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
That's because they didn't show you need to remove the sway bar links to drop down very easy. I had trouble also till I seen another video lol

HI Joe, What's the year make and model of your truck. I'll see what we may have for you, and reply with a link.
My struts are rubbing on the frame, will that be safe or should I get some other ones? Thanks
Great Video..Does a 2011 Nissan Frontier SV have the same type of strut? I'd like to try this myself.
Good info but I have a question. I have an 06 Titan SE with Off Road Pkg. Why are some people calling these struts and some dealers call them coilover shocks. They called the ones on my 98 Tacoma coilovers also.
I am thinking of replacing my rear shocks on my 2004 Nissan Titan do you know what the torque specs on top and bottom?
Thank you 🤘🏼🔊
Will this work the same if I decide to add a 1.5 or 2 inch level kit while installing this?
+Wade Armstrong This may not be able to function the same way if there is a leveling issue with the parts.
So if I am going to Install a taller strut will I have trouble getting it to fit

I your list of tools you have a 21mm socket listed what is that used for?
Is it the same shock for pro4x as sv or so?
What kind of lift are you using at your shop?
Will these fit a 2014 pro 4x? I went to the site to order but don't see it mentioning anything about pro 4x. Thanks
+pit_blvd There are multiple specifications for the struts. If you need help with checking into the fit, please give us a call.

Thanks for the info. Also can you send me a link for a 3” spacer just to give the front a little lift. Thanks again
Are both front struts right and left exactly the same. Or is there a right side and a left side?
+Rafael Lara They are interchangeable for either side on this model! 1aauto.com
Question what size is the tire
Is it necessary to get an alignment after this repair?
Yes it's recommended to seek an alignment after completing this repair. Thanks for watching 1aauto.com 866-403-3393

Nuts and bolts are super rusted on mine. I hope it goes smoothly tomorrow..
How the hell did you get that joint in there so fast did you losen the sway arm.

Damn he made this look ez!
you can replace one of the screws if this sweep
Nice video, but that outer tie rod end looks atrocious...lol
Don't forget to change that tie-rod end too, it was looking pretty bad.
+Joe Verweire Thank you for checking us out, as well as the advice! 1aauto.com
No they are not the same. The springs are different. What's up with that. Why is the new one have more coils?
+Lee Moses Thanks for watching! The new part is just an improved design which helps keep the vehicle from sagging over time. It will still fit and function just like the originals! 1aauto.com
I'm going to save myself $400 and do it myself.
Bullshit it wasn’t that easy
Will this work good with 2” leveling kit?
+Jared Welch Our parts are all built to the same specifications as the dealership unless otherwise listed. These struts would not be able to work for vehicles with a lift kit.
is this the same procedure for a 14 nissan frontier ?
