- After countless hours of playing Elden Ring I thought I should go back and play the game that popularized this whole soulslike genre in the first place. So I booted up Dark Souls Remastered on my PS4 Pro and got a playthrough. Follow me as I struggle and overcome the challenge of areas such as Undead Burg, Undead Parish, the Depths, Blighttown, Sen's Fortress, the Darkroot areas, New Londo Ruins, Duke's Archives, Lost Izalith, the Catacombs, Tomb of the Giants, Oolacile Township, Anor Londo and more. Also, watch how I do against bosses like Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough, Artorias the Abysswalker, Manus Father of the Abyss, Gwyn Lord of Cinder & many more boss fights and watch the raging and funny moments ensue. It really does feel like trudging through mud everytime I go back to Dark Souls. Bloodborne has spoiled me.
Fun fact: in the tomb of the giants you can wear the sunlight maggot which is what you get if you save Solaire and it illuminates the surrounding area better than a skull lantern and you can still use your shield

Idk, I didn’t breeze through it all. New londo ruins, the catacombs, tomb of the giants and that room before the gargoyles all gave me some suffering in this run lol

Full Havel is easy mode though but this and dark souls 2 is when poise actually matters unlike three where poise is more of a joke than anything else

Godskin peeler is good for Elden beast, it’s ash of war melts
DS1 requires a very big adaptation process, at first I kicked my ass, because of how different the mobility is in comparation with Elden ring, but after that, it's not that difficult, I still think that Elden Ring has MUCH more difficult bosses than DS1.
Elden Ring has Def harder bosses but its levels are mostly easier. But yeah like the hardest bosses in DS are Manus and Kalameet and the latter is basically an easier version of Agheel the dragon in Limgrave
