Thanks, I got some seeds of various plants at Wilko today, In the hope that You tube will give me information on how to plant and grow them to flowers. Your video was exactly what I needed. I have subscribed and liked the video. You have really helped me with information on what to do.
planted a pack of wilko seeds, lightly covered with compost, watered and then wrapped pot in cling film to keep moisture in. Within a week most of them have germinated. I'm hoping they continue to do well.
Planted some that I had that were about a year past the sow by date. Put some in a tray and the rest out in particular areas in the garden. So far there is signs that at least 4 may have grown, hard to tell if they are the busy lizzies or just weeds because they're in the garden. Will just have to give them time and wait and see.
Thanks for the info. I have tied a few times without success to grow from seed. Maybe I was covering them with too much compost. I will try again using your method-wish me luck!
I have grown this in the past.. Wilko seed instruction says it needs light and not to cover the seed with compost.. I’ll try this method next time.. many of your seeds have germinated well 😃
Nice, but What would have made the video stellar would be to show on the screen how many days it took the seedling to reach each stage. Example : 14 days end of germination . 30 days transplanted to garden , etc . I know it varies by county(and weather in that area) etc but it would be good to get an idea
I noticed the price of £1 on your packet of seeds. I wish mine cost a pound. Lol. I paid about £3 for 20 seeds. Then got some more off the Internet. £9 for a hundred seeds. Can I please ask how wet do the seeds need to be kept after first planting. Thanks in advance. And thanks for sharing your video. 👍
It is ok on my PC. What type of headphones are you using? When I use bluetooth headphones there is a small delay introduced which can be annoying. Keep safe.
You do not cover the seeds ! they need light, heat and moisture to germinate properly, buried ones quite often do not all show and its a month before you find out there are large gaps everywhere. ! use a heated propagator for best results. The Jiffy compressed seed discs are the easiest way, no mess, no pricking out...
I planted some a few months ago and the seedlings are coming on lovely. Can't wait to see them bloom.
Thanks,

Thank you for your observation. Yes the seed packet says light is required but I found that not to be the case when I grew them.

Great suggestion! I'll keep a record for future videos.
You may want to consider amending your clay soil with organic material.
Definitely. The soil in my area is very poor.

Hi Dave thanks for your appreciation. Just keep the compost damp (not wet or the seeds can rot).
@@LearnHow2 Hi mate. Thank you so much for replying. And so quick. I really appreciate your kind help. Thank you. And stay safe. 👍
As this is a half-hardy perennial, would you lift and store like how you did for geraniums over winter?
Hi Sulaimaan. I am sorry but I have no experience of this. Keep safe.
very nice!
Thank you!
I was surprised so many germinated. They do need light to germinate and it looked like you put a lot of soil on top.
Hi Alicia. Thank you for your comment. I will follow your advice next time and leave them exposed to the light.
What month do you start doing this?
Hi Sylvia. Here in the UK I start indoors at the end of winter (Mid February). Keep safe.
we grew ours from seed its ended up 3ft wide and high
Wow! What did you feed them with? 😂
the sound is out of sync with the video
