The more I listen to this song, the more it sounds like it should be in a musical. I’m diffidently getting antihero vibes from the concept of this song. It certainly tells an interesting story through the song.

I’m sorta writing a story about that, basically the jester and ruler were childhood friends and power has gone to the ruler’s head to the point where the ruler is destroying their own kingdom and the jester must usurp the ruler for their own good
Something about this song gives me so much nostalgia

The jester represents the next generation deposing the older generation from it's throne.
Both of the versions of this song are great, this one is very clear and the vocals are brilliant. However, the other versions shows more emotions. That's the difference between them both
I'm not entirely sure of the songs actual story but the first verse put a whole story into my head I just can't stop thinking about. Kinda badass, so the king had a bastard son and made him the court jester as a way to humiliate him all his life for who he is although he didn't have a choice, nor did he know who he was.
So the son figures it out and the entire time comes up with a way to mentally mess with the king and slowly expose all his dark secrets through his acts.
As time goes on and the king falls ill and starts to die the jester tells him he always knew and the kingdom would soon be his.
Damn I want this an actual story, or song or something.
actually the jester's role was very important , because he was the only one to be able to talk shit about the king infront of him , beside close friends and family, the king often turned to him for advices because he knew the jester would tell him if his plan was crap. Jesters were also in charge to deliver bad news to the king again to avoid others of getting beheaded. Jesters were loved by the court and people of lower classes, because he was funny and made satire about the court and the king. In time of war , Jesters would be used to annoy the oponent , making them do more mistakes on the battle field. However Jesters weren't imune to death sentenc if one of his jokes hits on the king's nerves ( for exemple , a yo mama joke would be very dangerous , because you don't talk shit about a king's mother in front of him) . So If the prince became jester it would be very fun for him , imagine being able to talk shit about your dad and be loved for it

What do you mean? The vocals are way too loud. Go listen to the instrumental version with fukase and you'll notice a lot of detail in the song. A lot of detail you can't hear in this. The voice and the piano aren't the only things you should hear. You should hear instruments going in and out with volume. Plus the person who made this doesn't know what they're doing with the vocals. Honestly, Fukase may sound pretty robotic and rough around the edges but Fukase, unlike this new one, can sing more than monotone notes. Fukase has emotion behind it. This song however is just loud text to speech.
The Fukase version has words and pronunciation of a real person, Fukase hangs on certain parts of words and drags them out for the purpose of letting the song catch up and sync, unlike this edit. Along with that, the Fukase version has many parts where the pitch of the voice changes while the word is being spoken. This edit however features a lazy version of that where each word is a different pitch rather than having the variation happen while it's being spoken.

I HAD THE LYRIC "the world will turn upon its head again" IN MY HEAD FOR 30 WHOLE MINUTES I SCRAPED EVERY CORNER OF MY MIND AND THOUGHT OF SHOWS MOVIES AND SONGS I HADNT HEARD OF IN YEARS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE IT WAS FROM AND THEN AS I STARED AY MY VOCALOID POSTER IN DEFEAT I REMEMBERED THIS SONG
This cover is way too accurate and professional for the stretched thumbnail it has. Highly recommend changing the thumbnail (maybe just to an image of the video without the text?) so you can get more views - you deserve them!

I'm so in love with this cover! No offense to Joe Swensen, but it's clear he has little experience with tuning vocaloids. Fukase's speech was so unfortunately muddled by poor tuning. But Eleanor is so perfectly tuned here!!
Thank you!! To be fair, I feel like Eleanor is a lot easier to work with than Fukase. I've never used Vocaloid, but from what I've seen, it looks a lot more difficult to make Fukase sound clear than it does to make Eleanor sound clear
@@gumiworms1328 I really love the line, “not all thorns come with a rose”. It turns the whole, “every rose has its thorns” phrase on its head. In the context of the song, it may be the Jester implying that the King was never good or just. He was just thorns without a rose; or rather, a rose that had only thorns and no petals.
The thing is they both give off a different vibe specially because of the tuning one more calm, the other tells the story better with the rough tuning

As much as i love the original, I feel this one is very calming. Like today was not the best day for me but when I turned this on, I felt so much more calm. While the original, feels like your living in the story while you listen, this one feel like a clam retelling of the story. Thank you for making this cover.

Though I've never watched it, this song seems like it would fit nicely in Friendship is Witchcraft, an MLP parody. Specifically with Pinkie Pie's bubbly and bouncy nature with a dark story underneath the bouncy music. Though the story fits more with Twilight and her taking Celestia's place as new ruler. (Watched mlp when little)
It would make a good story in my opinion. Celestia growing ever tired and no longer being able to reign because of her age, Luna has been gone for so long would enable her to really connect with the public and wouldn't make a good ruler as she's still used to the old days. By the time Luna matures enough and is able to reign, she'll either be too old, or she will have the difficulties of raising the sun as well as the moon.
Twilight, being a prodigie and her role in MLP FiM ( Friendship is Magic), is the next generation, indirectly. She's modern, has others to help her figure out problems, and, as she grows, will become syronger and be able to take on the ability to raise the sun and moon.
Unless Sunset Shimmer comes back. Twilight's counter part. She will raise the sun while Twilight will raise the moon.
