I trained with a Norwegian/American in my Nordic Ski Patrol and he was VERY knowledgeable in skiing, knots, orienteering and winter survival. His knowledge came from having served in the Norwegian military for a short time as a young man. He "schooled" our patrol in skills we needed. If Swedes are as good as the Norwegians in military training then they will be an excellent addition to NATO, as will the Finns, who constantly train.
When you are the only one who hasn't fought with your neighbors, or with yourself (looking at you UK, and the Baltic States) in 200 years, you can do amazing things... Like, conquer the world with overpriced, low-quality furniture!
