i’m a junior using this to practice for my group one solo and i CANNOT get the high C# for the life of me 😭 if anyone has any tips or tricks to playing it that would be greatly appreciated
what helped me was playing rips from middle Bb to High Bb. This really strengthened my lips. Learning and playing your D major scale double octave will also give you a huge help with higher notes. That was what helped me.
If you want to play this song correctly yes, it is advanced. But these days teachers dont about the perfection so they give these pieces to motivate their students and so you are going to play this shit really bad but in your head you are the best.

work on range exercises and practice the bit but play a Bb, then a B, then a C, then a C#. I’m a freshman and I’m working on that too, hope this helps
