Ok am I crazy for thinking this but how on earth are 7th graders and freshman playing these pieces. That’s only 2-3 years part time on an instrument at, like, age 12

As a lesson teacher I've given my strongest 8th graders pieces like Morceau Symphonique, the Telemann, and movements from the Rimsky Korsakov. I believe this piece is a little harder than those, even if you're leaving out the optional ornamentations...I have difficulty picturing a 7th grader who began in 6th grade performing a piece like this and actually being successful. A colleague of mine once said "He can't really play it, but he can play "at" it". I think most of these 7th graders are playing "at" it...or perhaps started in 5th grade or earlier, I dunno.
There really is a huge difference between playing the notes and making them sing. I’m sure any decent high school student could play this piece, but to make it sound like Jeremy would be possible for very few high school students in the US
His sound is like the smoothest, richest chocolate in the world. Damn
His low and high range sound so so great. Its unbelievable sometimes
I have been playing trombone since 1970, and stand amazed at the talent and aspirations of young musicians today!

Lol ima freshmen learning this piece for fun and it's not that bad and extremely enjoyable
