You are a genius, thank you very much, I searched for a solution for months and all I had to do was open it, release it and put it back on again, it worked perfectly. Thank you from Brazil.

Glad I could help! Look like it's a common problem with this model.

Well my flash was working fine and then all of the sudden it stopped firing. Even now, i'm only turning it on, the light is green yet it does not flash even when pushing the test button, (which is now flashing green?) - Any idea on how to fix that? this is my second flash which i hardly used.

Have you tried to hard reset it, remove the battery for a couple of minutes?

Same experience. I thought it was the flash tube. Replaced it but still not working unfortunately

I'm a professional wedding photographer and have new Sony A7IV and purchased new Godox V350s also Godox 860iiis and they both are inconsistent in light output when used in ttl mode on flash regardless of recycle time ready or battery charge etc and it's same composition with same lighting scenarios. My camera settings is on manual and I tried rear sync, fill flash and it's no fix. Sometimes it produces very powerful light output and sometimes under exposed.
Is this a brand compatibility issue Godox with Sony? Is there any settings I need to do?

Well, I have absolutely the same setup as you with those two Godox flashes, and I gave up on them. I ended up buying the original Lumix flash for my camera when I need to use it in TTL mode. Godox flashes are cheap and fairly good-looking devices, but they only work great in manual mode. In my case, in a studio environment, it's not a problem for me, but I can't imagine using them for event shooting. The Godox V350 I use always with a +3 correction, and it kind of helps in most cases, but the Godox 860III fires unpredictably in TTL mode. So, I don't think it's a camera compatibility issue, it's just how the cheap flashes work. My current setup: Godox is for a stable environment in the studio in manual/slave mode, and I use the Lumix for situations where I need TTL mode. Also check, maybe there is a new firmware update for your flash, hope they will fix one day that problem with an update.

@@ElectronicsComputersthanks for the reply. What lumix flash do you recommend for wedding photography? I don't want to spend too much

@@r.k862 I have a Lumix camera and that's why I bought same brand speedlight. It won't work for Sony. I know that original Sony flashes provide outstanding results but they are not cheap. Try to experiment with the Godox flash first. Try some different exposure metering modes in your camera like center-weighed or dot metering. Maybe in some of those modes it will provide more constant result. Godox 860II could be the best wedding flash but it's either you learn its patterns and how they're affecting the exposure or you just invest in a Sony flash.

I purchased two of these. It's not uncommon for ribbon cables to not be inserted all the way. I had a 1080p spy camera that the camera's ribbon cable wasn't pushed in all the way. Problem fixed.

Yeah, the assembly is done by humans and I guess, they don't perform a proper testing of every single unit.
