BRIA the big question is that even if she was there would she be strong enough to fight back since she is a better water bender but he has the natural strength/ability to bloodbend?
Cole McGill Assuming that Katara continued to grow stronger since the series finale, I believe she would at the very least be able to resist being bloodbended as she did against Hama.
Katara can only blood bend during the full moon, yakone blood bends (well use to when he had bending)at will at any time,we've only seen how strong katara was when she was younger,we don't know how powerful she is since, she and aang got married and had children. She may have slowed down. We never actually see her do any fighting in the legend of korra
I think especially the full moon is a crucial fact here. She was able to fend of Hamas bending because the moon powers both and she is a stronger bender than Hama. However, even for Katara there is no reason to believe she's able to bloodbend without the full moon. So she wouldn't be able to use her own bloddbending to counter Yakomes^^ My two cents^^
Even listening to Aang, if you try to age his young voice in your mind, he sounds like he would. It's just that Aang was younger so his older voice would be more different from his voice in ATLA.
Until we get to Unalaq which tried to make him a "good intentions" villain, but ended up getting another bland mustache twirling evil overlord villain.
Sozin's original intention was to "share the prosperity of the Fire Nation," so the initial spark is there. I think the lineage was corrupted by the extremism of that ideal, getting corrupted with each generation until you got Ozai and Azula, who were just broken inside. They became convinced their prosperity made them superior to all others, and thus they should be controlling everything.
Henrik Olsen it basically started with Sozin. In Book 3 of AtLA, we see that Sozin was determined to spread the ‘success’ of the Fire Nation to the other 3 nations with the help of Roku - overall, not a ‘bad’ intention. However, over time, the desire turned to control and subjugation and warped Sozin into a tyrant - which his son and and his grandson followed in place. The intention was good, but the end results and the means were horrible and the excess created the power hungry dynamic that created Ozai and built the shitty childhood for both Zuko and Azula.
Something that makes Amon really intimidating is how indifferent he seems to be to bending attacks, and I don't just mean the bloodbending. When Korra launches those icicles at him he stands his ground while they land near him and waits for the right moment. Just like after the arena attack when he just turns to just look at a firebending attack that knocked over everyone else around him.
It's that style man 😏 that style is the best out of all of them. It's always been the most dominant and the most flexible to manipulate for your own. I love it! Especially with a master Like Amon he is a deadly close combat fighter, and all range honestly lol.
Ragnar Lothbrok _ Feel what? That you can't spoil a show? It amazes me how people act like keeping their mouths shut of spoilers is some difficult task.
Fun fact: The two guards that talk about the empty train car are voiced by the creators of the show, Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko. Konietzko's guard was credited as the "sassy chi blocker."
When I didn't think the show could make bloodbending any more disturbing, this episode definitely proved me wrong. The way Yakone bloodbended Aang, twisting his arms and legs in every direction, was so disturbing. Props to Aang though. He basically went "Aaagghhh ...Just kidding, I'm the motherfuckin' Avatar!" xD Quick thinking on Korra's part for using her armband as insulation! "I am the solution" Such a badass line! If Amon was Aang, then why does Korra exist? In order for the next Avatar in the cycle to be born, the previous Avatar has to die. Why else would it be called a "reincarnation cycle"? :P Naga is such a loyal polarbear dog! With a great sense of smell as well, seeing as she tracked Korra all the way to the snowy mountains. Poor Asami. She doesn't deserve any of the hurt she's probably feeling at that moment. Suraj! Your impression of Shiro Shinobi (the narrator) was spot-on!
Oh man, I /LOVE/ the idea of Aang just pretending to be stuck in that hold to troll Yakone 😂 “EITJEJ IS THIS THE END OF ME, AVATAR AANG, jk lmao I’m the Avatar prepare to get EQUALIZED, Yakone”
karl jonson For acting like thinking Aang is Amon was stupid or absurd. Lots of people thought that, and with both of them being able to remove bending, it's an understandable quick thought.
Your reaction was priceless! I'm so happy yall are enjoying this so much! After so many people hating this show because it's so different from avatar, it's just so awesome seeing others enjoying this as well! Keep up the great reaction!
James Wise Magic i think korras fine but the fact that its a different story and villian each season weakens it compared to the over arcing threat of last airbender. Like seasons 1 and 3 r great but i hate seasin 2 and season 4 is meh so the overall quality is lowered
James Wise Magic Overall, I think ATLA is better as a character piece. BUT, my favorite villain in Avatar is Amon, his back story, his ideological views (Egalitarianism) and his "minions" are all super realistic and relatable in relation to our world. Plus, it leads to a conflict that many shows with powers don't go into depth on, "what about those who aren't born with powers?".
Leaky Peach "philosophical views" He doesn't have any lol. And the show doesn't have anything to say about non-benders, as it completely drops the idea after the season and we never see non-benders being treated differently.
Unstable Beast ehhhhh I disagree. I do believe it was smart to have avatar have 1 main villain and plot although I think for a spin off show its better, in this case at least, to have separate villains and plots. Korra needs to be its own thing not just a copy and paste of avatar. Not only that but the people of korra were not sure if they were gonna get more than 1 season. Korra definitely has issues but overall it's really good and I honestly believe it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
Also, @17:46 Thank you ! I agree with Rana, Korra definitely has a lot going on for her. It's so bad when people talk about her like she was the worst character ever
I. Th. Zuko yes. Korra? Not a chance. The whole team Avatar is better than her, and Iroh and Azula. And Asami, Tenzin, and Zaheer are all better on this show.
What I really enjoy is that every single conspiracy theory they have on who Amon could be was what everyone debated on when it aired! Ahaha there was this one fake post that Amon was "Aang"! Ahaha! Bruh! The season with the greatest plot twist! And it gets better from here! Damn, their discussion, talk about some good potential predictions ;)
Let's go faaaaaam Edit: 13:59 NAHID WAS BREATHLESS LMAOOOO No one can complain he's not head deep into korra anymore. And if they actually decided to watch another one they finished the season cause from now on it's too lit to stop
Amon has one of my favorite villain lines of the franchise in this episode, "I am the solution." It's especially cool when you know that on his political banners is the line "Amon is the solution."
14:40 I'm surprised nobody else came to the conclusion i reached when i saw this: Amon is a robot / cyborg. He has fluids in his system, but little 'blood'.
Griff It's very odd. Sokka kisses Suki, a love triangle episode with Aang, Katara and one of the locals, romantic moments between Katara and Jet, a lot more love interest stuff with Sokka and Princess Yue during the Season 1 Finale. Zuko dating in Ba Sing Se and getting with Mai later and still much more. How do so many people just forget that much of a series they like!? I wasn't exactly overjoyed by these parts in either series, but I didn't wipe their existence from my memory.
Hey guys, I've seen Korra already, but I'm really enjoying "rewatching" it with you guys. Great reacts! Your episodes are a good length and the after ep discussion is always fun to watch and hear your take on what's going on. Keep it up!
Charmed references, Nahid finally won over by this episode, Amon Twist reaction was satisfying and now PLEASE WATCH SEASON 2 EPISODE 7 & 8 back to back! thank you
Thinking about it now, the biggest clue as to how Amon was able to resist bloodbending should probably have been how Katara was able to resist it back in The Last Airbender. Hama was able to hold Katara, but not for very long. It seems that Waterbenders of greater or equal skill can resist bloodbending. Or even just benders of greater skill, regardless of element. Such as Aang. As you can see, the Avatar state got him out of bloodbending twice in this episode. The main reason he couldn't do that back in ATLA was because the Avatar State was closed off to him because his 7th chakra was closed.
This video is (very) old but I just wanted to comment how much I am enjoying this series. So far this has been really fun and entertaining and I'm excited to see your reactions to future episodes :)
Diego Vasconscelos It's not really a plot twist. Tarlock being Amon was too obvious. Not to mention he flipped out at being compared to him just last episode.
I didn't say that Tarlock not being Amon was the plot twist. But Tarlock was always a very weird guy. And it was always debatable if he was really against Amon (since everything he's done on the last episodes favored the Equalists and hurted Korra in some way). To me, the plot twist was to see that even he, who had just defeated Korra, was being targeted by Amon as well. But my point is that my reaction to Amom waiting upstairs was the same as theirs.
"whaaaaaaaaat???" "bloodbend his ass... why is it not working on him why is it not working on him why is it not working on him" "WHAT-IS-HAPPENING????" "whAT's going ONnn???" hahahahaha priceless
Always confused me how they could think Yakon and Tarlok were the same, not only does he look older in the past but it’s been like 40ish years, he’d look like katara 🙄 it’s like basic math left them this first season lol
That flashback was from decades ago and they can't even make the comparison of the fact that he should look ancient by now if that was him in the flashback.
Idk I don't think Amon attacked Tarrloq because he took the Avatar. I think Amon attacked Tarrloq because he framed the Equalists when he took Korra and that attracked "troubles" to the Equalists (hence the Krew coming to "save" her).
I love how every villain in the avatar universe is given motive and depth. In the original series, the fire nation’s motive, as sozin put it, was to “share the prosperity of the fire nation” with the rest of the world. Overtime, however, the ideology became corrupted and a superiority complex developed with the new generation of fire nation royalty (case in point: Azula and Ozai). In LOK, toph already explained this-Amon wanted societal equity, unalaq wanted to bring back the spirits, Zaheer wanted liberty, and kuvira wanted order. What I love is that almost all of their motives are things we as a human society strive to achieve-equality, liberty, harmony, and order are even things that many constitutions of the revolutionary era outlined as key factors of their societies. And that’s what makes this universe so unique and beautiful. Yes it’s a kid’s show, but it treats kids as people who are worthy of being exposed to real issues and values of human society, and I firmly believe that watching these two shows had made me a wiser, more educated child. Lol sorry for the essay
Lmaoo calling Asami basic npc status is rich and accurate 😂 love the reaction and this episode was hype, but some problems in this series are too obvious to ignore like the overblown love triangle drama.
People bash this show like it's the Antichrist of television and they don't seem to understand that this show is not really focusing on Korra traveling the entire world and kicking ass with Spirit Power like Aang did. It's clear she has bad social skills but it's because she was literally locked up in the Southern Water Tribe compound like a prisoner so she could master all the elements and basically had no knowledge of how much the world had changed. This is meant to show you the hardships of being the Avatar in a peaceful world that resulted from Aang ending the Hundred Year War. Even all the villains are telling Korra that the world doesn't even need her anymore. Aang was learning how to be a warrior and Korra is learning how to be a spiritual person and a diplomat.
YESSSSSSSSSS!!! I'M SO GLAD YOU LOVED IT!! And I've been saying it since episode one, Korra is a fantastic Avatar in her own. She isn't Aang and that's what's great about her. Where he would dodge and evade, she runs head first and fists raised. This show needs to be adapted into film. It's too good. The action sequences, ugh. So good.
Paully808 Did you not see the fucking Avatar movie? We don't need another train wreck. Rewatch the show if you love it. Why would you want to ruin it with a lesser movie? Don't be an idiot.
So because it failed once, and believe me if i could i would have slit my writsts after watching the first the live action movie i would have, no one can ever ever ever ever try it again ever for the rest of eternity? Really? In this reboot/remake/revival era in hollywood the fact that they shit the ebd with a first attempted adaptation means they can never try it again? Should Fox have packed up shop and closed up after they failed both Wolverine and Deadpool with X-men Origins:Wolverine in 09? Should Marvel studios as a whole have packed up and closed shop after they're disastrous Captain America, Thor and Fantastic 4 films from the 70s, 80s and 90s? I got on they're patreon just to binge the Korra reactions and OMFG, re-watching this made me realize what a fucking visual marvel the Avatar universe is, the locations, the power sets, the spirituality and the very very dark/adult themes, the action choreography and just how mother fucking I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E a live action franchise helmed by the right studio, with the right action director and writer, with a $120-150 production budget this could be the next big franchise to compete witht the Marvel cinematic universe or Star Wars or any other tent-pole franchises. This could be the new Harry Potter if done right. This universe is so incredible, and unique in its own ways. SO YES. Also it, cannonically, resests and creates a whole new sereis with the death and birth of a new Avatar so if this works whatever studio gets it can literally make more and more and more until the fucking sun burns out the sky and no one can accuse them of making a cash grab cause, cannonically the avatar keeps coming back as a whole new person. So to conclude, all the pieces are on the board. Rich, high fantasy universe with plrenty of source material to draw from. HUGE, devout fan base. INSANELY diverse cast based on the fact that each of the 4 nations are based on real life Asian empires from history and the Inuitt tribes and its cannonical so anti-pc & anti-sjw trolls can't attack it for being so diverse because that's literally what its based on. So to answer your question, hell mother fucking yeah I WANT A FUCKING MOVIE OF THIS NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Also, don't be an idiot; nothing is worse than wasted potential, and baby....this franchise is a gold mine waiting to be mined.
Yeah, we sorta hit the rock bottom with the Avatar movie and DBEvolution (and maybe the Death Note movie) I think we need another attempt at an ATLA movie
when he says the onky way to stop bloodbending is to turn into the avatar state I almost lost it cause its like katara's "I'm stronger than you" scene from the episode puppetmaster never even happened in their eyes
Cole McGill I agree and everyone seems to forget about that. Bloodbending is a subcategory of waterbending so if someone is a more powerful water bender without even knowing bloodbending they can resist it or overcome it. Just as kitara did with hama
the reason they do the announcement voice and that at the start it is because it is meant to be like a old time radio adventure story that they are listening to but you are able to watch . think of it as one of the radio shows but your being shown it . while the people of republic city are hearing it on a radio
Tarrlok: "...what are you"
Amon: "I am the Solution."
I get chills everytime. Such a great episode!
Amon's been waiting to say that line for years. I can see him staring at a mirror and practicing it over and over.

yeah. they make that point later in the series. best kind of villains, unlike the sort that's just power hungry

When Aang was riding the scooter STANDING UP I screamed like a kid!!!!!!
Amon the most powerful villain in the show by far. He could defeat all other seasons villains alone
Can’t bloodbend a carpet lmao
I. Th. Well Unalaq definitely, Vaatu propably not
I kinda agree with that (even extending it to ATLA villains wouldn't seem wrong)
Maybe not Zaheer.
I wonder how bloodbending would work against a weightless Zaheer
They're all forgetting the fact that Katara was able to power through Hama's bloodbending too. It's not just an avatar thing.
I don't think anyone noticed so I'll show you.
Yakone: I'm going to put you to sleep, FOR GOOD.
Aang: I'm taking away your bending, FOR GOOD.
Hahhaha like everyone, was also hyped for their reaction to the flashback, but their reaction to Amon x Tarlok was even more priceless.
Amon x Tarrlok? Yeah, the sudden unexpected steamy hot super-explicit love scene between them was a real crowd pleaser!
Daniel Cohen lol are you ok?
Pairing two people's names like that is usually meant as shipping them as a couple. Like Korra x Mako.
Ligtning Dog I know that though, I just thought that answer was a little too out there lol
Disappointed at the lack of cyborg theories
Lol that would be my theory.
If I didn't binge watch whole season.
It was a theory that Amon was a cyborg during it's initial run.
"Nah dude hear me out man, Amon's a cyborg, I'm tellin' you dat right now. Nah bro seriously. This is not a kid's show."
Amon is a T800 confirmed
Cmon Nahid... is it Aang.......bruh. Also, ATLA had love interest stuff within the first 10 episodes.
Man, it was nothing compare to this lol
it was way more soft and better handled than this love triangle.
LaHunica they weren't teenagers
yes they were except for aang who was going to be and toph being 10 years old, all the other characters were teenagers.
They finally get to see the old team!
So this is why yall was late for Bunny Yoga SMH
Newcents88 lol
Which patreon tier do I have to join to watch this Yoga group
Man that's the God Lvl tier all access live cames to The Normies house. Its like Big Brother meets Black Mirror .
Newcents88 do you watch My Hero Academia, Pls do, you will love it and we need you more in the video!
Hey guys, I've seen Korra already, but I'm really enjoying "rewatching" it with you guys. Great reacts! Your episodes are a good length and the after ep discussion is always fun to watch and hear your take on what's going on.
Keep it up!
When she said “is he a bad avatar” I screameeeed!
“Aang’s hot”. That’s what you got out of that scene😂
*busts in*
PREPARE TO BE EQUALIZED!
Damn fam
Charmed references, Nahid finally won over by this episode, Amon Twist reaction was satisfying and now PLEASE WATCH SEASON 2 EPISODE 7 & 8 back to back! thank you
I live for Nahid gushing over Sokka
“Bad avatar” hmm well ain’t that somethin
When he asked if Amon was Aang I facepalmed so hard, Korra literally couldn't be alive if Aang was still alive.
sTn AnoMaLy he dumb
"Is that Aang?!" I honestly never thought Nahid could be any stupider. Guess I was wrong.
The voice actor for amon is steve blum...a great voice actor
Yeah he is amazing
When you knew they would love this episode! They're going to actually be blown away by the end of this season!
Both guys looking at each other: 😏 and then there is this girl: "Aang is hotttttt" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 New subscriber here
Fun fact: those two chi-blockers at 7:48 are voiced by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the creators of ATLA and LoK.
I'm so glad y'all like this series. One of the best episodes honestly
"Is that Aang?" holy moley, the IQ level in that room combined is in the double digits
Way less than that lol
This video is (very) old but I just wanted to comment how much I am enjoying this series. So far this has been really fun and entertaining and I'm excited to see your reactions to future episodes :)
"I am the solution" best line.
This was the episode that won them over for the full 100%. I knew it!
Amon had the best voice I've ever heard on anythingggggg
It's creepy but awesome. .....
14:52 “IS THAT AANG?!” ... *rubs temples*
14:23 Is awesome. I remember the power of that plot twist when I was watching for the first time. Your reaction just was priceless.
14:53 "Is that Aang?" This guy isn't the sharpest of the group.
Your reaction to Tarloq running into Amon was amazing. Perfect reveal.
Man I gotta admit...even though I don't like Korra as a whole, Season 1 was pretty good and had some great moments.
Thanks guys as always for bringing us your reactions! I'm so happy everytime I see you guys upload! Keep at it!
> Flashbacks are set decades at least 20+ years ago
> OH MAN THIS MUST BE THE SAME DUDE EVEN THO HASN'T AGED.
Yall forgetting katara was the first to break hamas grip on blood bending so being a stronger water bender is the best way to break blood bending
14:51 *chiiiiiiills*
Ragnar Lothbrok _ ikr
"yo bro this some good tv"
i love that quote
Korra is dull Amon saved this season
Rick Jones I pretty sure it can't get worse
Yeah, we sorta hit the rock bottom with the Avatar movie and DBEvolution (and maybe the Death Note movie)
I think we need another attempt at an ATLA movie
14:24 flashbacks of Aang, Sokka and Toph. Plus Amon appears this episode has everything.
when he says the onky way to stop bloodbending is to turn into the avatar state I almost lost it cause its like katara's "I'm stronger than you" scene from the episode puppetmaster never even happened in their eyes
Cole McGill I agree and everyone seems to forget about that. Bloodbending is a subcategory of waterbending so if someone is a more powerful water bender without even knowing bloodbending they can resist it or overcome it. Just as kitara did with hama
Korra stopped it without the avatar state
It didn’t
@@kevinsims5791not yakone family Katara can’t beat them
@@kevinsims5791plot
I just realized that Sokka got better with his Public Speaking 👍🏾
"It's time for you to be equalized"
I refreshed my RUclips and was surprised to see this uploaded 1 minute ago XD
4:05 When Nahid pulls off a perfect Robert DeNiro face
the reason they do the announcement voice and that at the start it is because it is meant to be like a old time radio adventure story that they are listening to but you are able to watch . think of it as one of the radio shows but your being shown it . while the people of republic city are hearing it on a radio
Finally... Was so desperate for this episode
Dude, I'm binging your videos rn. I love you guys doing this! More please!
