Love these guys. They just bleed positivity and nice ness.. that is why they end up dealing with such awesome people. He was a collector back in the day who turned into a spec buyer. So lots of keys in there. That will be a good flip.

Yes fair price and everyone walks away happy. The Slabs and the ASM bin as well as some of the keys sealed the deal! He did a fantastic job of spreading out his collection so you were able to view the books and also determine condition as well. He made buying decision easy and hard to pass up.

Bro, the slabs and Spiderman collection is worth well over $2000k in raw value... Well over. Factor in everything else you guys walked away paying less than half of what that collection was worth. we didn't even get to see a fraction of those boxes. Could be much more. Major score, gratz.

$100 slabs- The reason nobody can get legitimate books graded in a respectable timeframe anymore.
Yeah, depending on condition would pay 1400 tons of spec stuff plus decent runs.
Honestly I would of passed on this. A lot of filler and a lot of hard books to move and a lot of books in the 2000s and indies which I just don't buy and eventually will be worthless down the line...I would rather save my money and wait for an awesome silver/bronze age marvel dc collection then buy the first available collection that comes my way with late 80 and mostly 90s/2000s comics in it. That's just me.

Absolutely a fair deal. He saves time selling them individually and you guys get a great buy. The Marvel Rising slab alone pays for 1/3. You guys are killing it.

Totally worth it. That Punisher and wolverine limited series looked great. Wouldn't get too hyper focused on variant covers, but for $1 a book, I'd go for it

I think it's in reverse. Most dealers I know would have offered $750 tops. The collection wasn't that great. He tried to make it sound great...but believe me, it wasn't.

I’d have paid $1200 max considering most of those will be hard to move and the slabs aren’t worth a ton. The BRZRKR was massively printed. Unfortunately a lot of us fell for that including myself.

At roughly $1 dollar a book, he practically gave them away for free. I think it was a very good deal. Should be able to recover your cost and then some.
That was an amazing deal. You got a ton of good books that you can easily make back what you spent or just build up the old PC as needed. The Wolverine and Punisher alone would be great for trades if you don't need them yourself.

If you put in the work to sell them individually, yeah, you should get a 300% ROI minimum.
Paying ebay completed sales leaves little room for profit. I would have offered half.
I'm with you....the guy was nice and all, but at best, I would have offered more like $900 to $1000 tops
I was thinking that too most dealers would come in at 7 - 9 hundred. But having said that you will be fine. It’s going to be a bit of work

i would have paid 900 ish alot of those aren't going to be easy to move the slabs only 4 i saw that would go and only if you lower the cost of them....but only you can be happy at the end of the day its your money...
Sometimes you pay a little more and help an old guy out. Those guys have gotten some better deals in the past that would offset paying a little more. Also some things you hold onto until the market decade happens. Selling comics is all about inventory.
I'm going to both agree and disagree. I probably would've started a little lower bc of the dc heavy side of things being harder to move. Say thousand to 11 but if it felt right I'd have moved up to seal it

I'd say you did well. You can sell the slabs relatively easily to generate some cash while you go through the raws. Seems like a nice fellow too.
