Thank you so much, Jacqueline, for taking time to watch and comment. As much as I travel, I am like you. There is no way I'll ever see every country or even a portion of every country but love watching documentaries, movies and reading about travel. It is so interesting, to put it mildly. Best to you, Sheila
I was here! I stayed in Manaus for 3 weeks before we went to other places. it was an amazing experience. Loved Brasil & it’s people, would love to go back!
Isn't it fun, Hannah, to watch a vid and say, "I was here." What did you do in Manaus for 3 weeks?? I agree with you re: Brazil and people and would love to return. Thanks for your time to view and comment and best regards, Sheila 😍
I can't really answer that since I saw the two waters meeting at the confluence. However, I can thank you for your time to view and comment. Very best to you, Sheila 😍
at all ends where a sea-bound river reach the sea, fresh and saltwater will mix. however both the rio negro and amazon river here are freshwater. the amazon is just lighter coloured because it carries lots of sediment! surely muhammad knew of where rivers met the sea, so perhaps this is meant as a metaphor.
Thanks so much, Divya, for your view and time to comment. So glad you enjoyed the video. It was so incredible to watch the two different colors flow next to each other 🙀 Very best to you, Sheila 😍
Sheila, Wonderful videos; I'm from Manaus and I currently live in New York City. Very nice to see it from your perspective. I've lived abroad for many years and I still haven't had the chance to explore the Amazon Jungle, I definitely wanna try one of these cruises. Sorry to hear about the Tropical Hotel - there are indeed much better options. I am glad you enjoyed your journeys through Brazil, hope you have a happy new year! Victor
Thank you so much, Royce! Really appreciate the "excellent"; not something I see every day 🤣 So appreciate your time to view and comment. Hope all is well with you and yours during the pandemic. Regards, Sheila 😍
Thanks so much for your time to view and comment; so appreciated! I always think of "rivers" as teeny-tiny, not as huge as the Amazon just like you said. Best to you and thanks again, Sheila 😍
The natural diversity, both plants, animals and fresh water in Brazil is countless, if Brazil knew how to use this natural power safely, and profitably, it would certainly be one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world, but the Brazilian only puts idiots as presidents then it becomes difficult to do that. (I'm Brazilian too guys)
Lucky you! I am dying to travel extensively again but most countries in the world have barred Americans during the pandemic. Sigh. Thanks for your view and I hope you both have a wonderful trip! Regards, Sheila 😍

Kind of it! Amazonia is a Brazilian state, and there is the Amazon rainforest which is also called Amazonia, but the most correct would be "Amazon rainforest", so people will not to be confused with the state
What's so interesting is most of us see forested areas and think "jungle" but on one trip, a guide said that the correct term is "forest" -- I wouldn't know about that since I still see trees and think "jungle" 🤪 Thanks for your view and time to comment. Best to you during the pandemic and hope you and yours are well, Sheila 😍
I'm so glad you enjoyed you trip that much. At first I was afraid you wouldn't like Brazil, but it's so beautiful right? Nobody can deny it. Hope you go back home safe. by the way, I've heard Chicago is getting frozen haha
Thanks for the good wishes, Jessica. We are home and getting ready to fly out again. Chicago is always cold in the winter but we are supposed to get pounded by snow. Sigh, that's Chicago for you! Brazil was great. We saw and experienced so many different situations and places which is the point of traveling. Don't mistake me. I like the old same-o, same-o at a resort also but it's good to shake it up everything now and then. Have a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year! Best, Sheila
Hi Pedro. I'm doing fine thanks. How about you? To answer your question, the opera house was closed during the only free time we had in Manaus and never got to see it. Disappointing! Thanks for taking time to watch this video and best regards, Sheila
Know, Pedro, I never have! I have seen dolphins for nano-seconds. They appear, I shout, "Dolphin" and it disappears before the word is out of my mouth :)
You are absolutely correct! I think there is about a 50 mile difference between the two but the Nile wins! Thanks so much for your time to view and correct me (my bad) and very best to you. Sheila 😍
I didn't expect the meeting of the waters to be as dramatic as it was. Such a clear demarcation between the two waters. Thanks for watching and have a Happy New Year! Best, Sheila
I’m writing in English because I don’t speak Portuguese or Spanish. Is that what you are referring to, Daniel? Regardless thanks for taking time to watch the video and add a comment. Have a great holiday and Happy New Year. 😍 Sheila
Some of you people are ungrateful. Everything isn't like America. Get used to it. I would love to have been able to trade you places. I've always be interested in the city you were im where the 2 giant rivers meet. You blew if off like bleh bleh.
Hi Akron, Ohio. Hope all is well with you and yours during the pandemic. My reaction has nothing to do with grateful. We all have opinions and react to different sights, sounds, etc., differently. However, in my fishing for piranha video, I was very excited! What can I say...🤣 Best to you and thanks for your time to view and comment, Sheila 😍

Correction : Rivers NEGRO and SOLIMÕES = AMAZONAS...
It's neat how the rivers are different colors. If I was there I would probably get out a paddle and try to mix them together lol.
🤣Funny comment and wouldn't that be fun! Thanks for your time to view and post a comment. Hope all is well with you and yours, Sheila

I would love to return. So enjoyed the entire trip to Brazil and there is still so much that we haven't seen. Best to you and Brazil again, Sheila

It's depends how many day you will stay...Normally a cruise ship come and leave very quick...Do you Liked of Manaus??
We basically saw nothing of Manaus. Flew in, boarded ship and flew out in the wee hours of the morning, Pedro.
I will be here next month. My wife and I both have always wanted to see the meeting of the rivers.
